Messed up skin tones and height

Postby BCeltic Pride on Sat Mar 22, 2008 2:02 am

For some reason when I opened the game, alot of the rookie players like Glen Davis, Joel Anthony, Fasenko, Amundson, mario West etc have their skin tones messed up along with their height. Has anyone else had this problem? How can I fix it? Is it possible that my sgsm folder is too full? The problem wasnt there last night. The only things I've done since yesterday is download the chris anderson patch by OG and change peja's shoe package in player.dbf. In apperance dbf it says the correct tone and height but in the game its different. For example in dbf Glen davis is 81 in and skin tone 3 but in the game davis' arms are tone 1 and he only like 6 ft tall (72 in)

Looks like your database is corrupted. You will have to load a copy of the roster before you edited it. You did save a copy, didn't you? You should always make a copy of any roster you a trying to modify. Otherwise you have to start all over.

I had similar problem with my roster for Live 07 a few months ago. But that was happening only when player changed a team in Dynasty. In season and every other modes except Dynasty everything was fine. I think the reason is that I created new players directly with DB Commander, creating new lines. In 08 I create players with create a player and edit with DB Commander and everything is ok.

Did you do something like this with your roster files?

No I always create a player in game first and then I do dbf editing. Also I dont even have a dynasty saved in my game.

There might be a problem/corruption somewhere as a result of the changes you made to the database. Pinning down those problems is pretty difficult to say the least; do you have a backup of the file from before the problems arose? If so, you might want to restore it and start over with your latest edits.
