MRA II: Max Realism Mod II

I remember that I said I will be back for NBA Live 09 but since 09 isn't coming to PC and I have a lot of free time...
I decided to come up with MRA2 that I currently play with.

After watching the LAL vs BOS game2, I thought of many things and how Live was not basketball...

I will release it soon.
But, it still has the old problem of "dynasty not compatible".
I am currently studying Kris's team.dbf to come up with a better solution.

Cool things about MRA2
1. Fastbreaks fixed (remember, this is how MRA started)
2. Pretty cool passing patterns.
3. Inside play
4. Weird run into defence and make the bucket gone.
5. Requires Players to play basketball

I intend to make a mod called "NBA MAX 09" with my mod with some flashy graphics and lightings so don't steal my name hehe...

ps. Does anybody know if there is a HDR mod for Live 08?

would like to know more regarding this mod..because i'm currently 'indulged' in Web's and Kris gameplay..don't feel like switching..unless, this one is corresponding to the features wrote in the first post..

No sorry...I really just started doing this...although if they allow me...I will definitely look into it...However, I am planning my own animations and shots for later versions which will effect gameplay and not good looking flash shots... :roll:

unless, this one is corresponding to the features wrote in the first post..

ive been testing this but its really hard to play without webbers sigshots and gtm :roll:
please ask for permision and try to include them because the gameplay is really good (Y)

I've tried your aiact.viv with ILT and Kris's animation files(xsyms,xanims). And it worked without crashing.

Here's my feedback:
I think the gameplay generally needs impovement. I mean, the same defensive ai problem is there again. Defense returns back too slow and moves slow everywhere, thinks slow, etc...For offense, it looks ok, but needs some improvement again.
I think Kris can help you best. You need some more instructions for this patch.

Tried (with my Realistic Roster) your version modified by me with ILR and WebberF1 sigshots/GTM and Kris animation files.
It worked good.

I played only one game, vs Golden State.
Feedback: poor defense (this is a feature of GS) but good steals by Baron Davis & C.
Great game in attack, based on Baron and Azubuike-Ellis.
No bug in fastbreak when cpu player free under the basket don't shot...
Good shot distribution (3pt-midrange and inside).
But perhaps i don't see great difference with other aiacts...
I have same result with aiact 1.32-33 mixed by me and my sliders settings...


Can you post here your sliders settings? (not file, copy the values)

Thanks everyone for your feedback...

This is what I gather from your posts

1. Generally good gameplay but lacks some defence...right?
2. GTM and Sig shots are not present...

I am still preparing my next version...Kris is gonna help me...Yeah!!!!
BUT...I'll focus on basketball and not GTM and Sig shots for now...I'm currently working on Lay ups and dunks...to bring changes to gameplay...

an example of it would be Sam Cassell not able to do a lay up after stopping under the hoop for 3 seconds with defender on his face...things like this...and also, post players playing JORDAN MODE....like Duncan...
I don't know where EA got the idea of Duncan playing post moves like Jordan and scoring 10-14 or 12-16...He scores under the hoop or by using 25 degree banks....

anyway...I will work on defence after my lay up / dunk stuff....

Hey guys, I am back...I've away for quite a while...but I worked on my AI. I will be able to upload version 0.2 soon, however I have some serious flaws in my AI...and one of them is PG domination...

Rondo scored 24 points and shot 16...or 18...and garnet and pierce scored 20+ but still...there is something I don't like.

Gameplay itself is really really good...(I say so but it is subjective)
Except the PG domination part. I believe Kris has overcome this matter...
so anyone who can help me just post reply here...I really don't care if our little secrets of AI editing is spilled.. :o

Plus...about the poll...don't know why the excellent option is left out...

some of the plays that I have seen with my ai.

1. nash drives to the baseline, Shaq cuts in centre, grabs it and does a finger roll over defence, misses and amare finishes it with tip in dunks.
Hahahahaha!!!!!!

2. Tony parker drives lays up and passes in the middle of lay up before defence and Duncan finishes with a bank shot!
hmmmmmm...

3. Kobe just does his thing...pump fakes it and slams... :cool:

anyway...although many people enjoy Kris's over mine, I will keep on making my AI's for those who like it...even if it's just me :lol:

You have a lot of work to do... Computer has to defend!
Computer has not to lose balls! :)

I would suggest your to reduce Game speed to 40 at least.

Markas ==> Whoa...How did u do that? I mean it's harder to win like that than making an AI mod... heh heh. Thanks for your response...I am working on defence and fouls...it's probably gone now in ver 0.2 plus the game speed is 40...(below this, the game becomes somewhat weird...) and 10 min qts. But stil...I don't know what gameplay settings u played with but it's amazing...I should try too.

I think that I used your gameplay settings...

I can repeat that and make a film how I play if you are just ready to download a lot of megabytes ? ;) NBA Live is very easy for me... I hope that one day SuperStar will be really SUPERSTAR :)

anyway...my version 0.2 is almost ready. However, I wanted to use Kris's GTM and Sig Shots...(not sure if its his or WebberF1's) but it looks like he has personal problems so I'm not going to bother him for now...

Gameplay wise...it's going really good.

Hey everyone...
I have concluded that my MRA version 0.2 is a total failure...
I can't progress further...I mean...the more I do to the game...the more bugs it created...



However, I found out many new things and figured new things out...
So...I have begun working on 0.3 on a totally new way...
I started yesterday...and it seems okay at the moment.

but at this rate...I will be done when 09 comes out...T.T
anyway... thanks for all
and congrates to Kris for his new aiact...he offered me help...but forgot to reply...
