help changing resolutions after starting dynasty

i started a dynasty a few weeks ago, at the time my resolution was set to 1280 X 1024 32 . that was the most my monitor could handle, but i now have a 19 widescreen with a native resolution of 1440 X 900 32 . for some reason i cannot manage to play my dynasty with the new resolution. it will not let me change it in the game, and when i change it in the main menu, when i load my dynasty if defaluts back to the old resolution. is there a fix for this, or do i have to start a whole new dynasty? any help appreciated

goto my documents/nba live 08

goto the settings folder, copy the settings.dat

then go back to the nba live 08 folder

open the saves folder and then open the folder of your dynasty

paste the settings.dat in there.
