Announcers voices gone!!!

Ok I installed the game (original) and everything worked fine, then all of a sudden there were no announcers. I tried to reinstall the game and it's the same thing. The crowd noise is still there the sound effects are still there etc. I can't take the game back to the store now, so is there a way i can fix this crap? Its pretty boring listening to crowds, dribbling, and sneaker squeaks.

I'm sure someone has had this issue in the past. Some sound advice would be very helpful.
