FOUND A WAY TO PERFORM G-T-MOVES WITHOUT BACKING DOWN

HI GUYS JUST THOUGHT I SHARE THIS LITTLE FIND WITH YOU.

FIRSTLY THERE IS A FILE NAMED XSCNARIO.VIV WHICH IS LOCATED IN YOUR NBA LIVE 08 DIRECTORY eg. C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 08\ai

What this file does is control the backdown scenario where buy holding the backdown button and pulling back on the left analogue stick to fadeaway to perform go to moves that require you to do so.

All i did was just rename the file xscnario.viv to xscnario1.viv so now the game wont read from this file.

Now you can perform "go to moves" that require you to fadeaway, just by holding the left analogue stick back or down to fadeaway while you shoot without having to backdown first. You can still perform go to moves as normal, this just makes them easier to perform and allows you to perform them all over the court
Also i have noticed that if your shot gets contested hard, then then the go to move animation you are performing will get altered to a forced shot or different shot that suits the situation.

Give it a go yourselves, and let me know your thoughts of how this changes the game. Remember if don't like it, all you have to do is just rename the file back to xscnario.viv

There's another way to do it which is by Assigning someone GTM to Sig shot with DBF editing. Which means now you can have 2 different GTM in 1 player. I put Elton Brand GTM ( turn aroudn fadeaway) to kobe GTM and his original GTM to Sig shot.

um, you didnt have to backdown in the first place. Doing it in a backdown position just greatly increases your chances of succeeding in pulling off the gtm.

I thnk its different from GTM because Sig shot are already enabled when you make a jump shot.. Like in Marion, Durant, Garnett and etc

Ok that's very good found but can i ask something. why there is no intro for live 08 this year and why they remove the encourge moves that the players used to do after dunking or taking a charge or get an assist can some one tell me why EA is trying to take away all the fun from the game

No, if you assign gtm to sigshot field, he will just have 2 different GTM that he can pull off at the right position.

The funny thing is, that there actually is an intro vp6 file in the movies folder. Anyway, who cares, I'd have watched it once at the first start, and skipped it the next times I started the game.

hey men what should i press to apply the go to move and also the superstar trigger control is not there so what should i press to apply the freestyle dunk,pass,lay-up etc during the game?help me?and whats the used of fakeranalog in the game how can i apply this?

Man,this aint helping me.Still verry hard to do gtm.Can someone here edit conditions for a gtm?For example,Tmac should do his fadeaway even when he is not garded.And I think,that there are hot spots for gtm,so can someone edit that,so the hot spot can be the whole court,if the conditions can't be fixed?

Why would you fadeaway only if you are guarded??You can fadeawat yo make sure that you are not going to be blocked.And it looks cool so......

you fadeaway wen ur being guarded because it creates space and making the shot easier.

wen you fadeaway, so you dont get blocked that means your being guarded


and yes fadeaways look cool

Lol....you get blocked 85% of the time in the game.....one guy made a higher jump for rtm,so now its easier,but still difficult.Well,atleast now you can use them,before that u allways get blocked!
