Speech ids 2008

Like from the previous Live, EA has made speech id's for the missing players in the game.
So far I have found few and hopefully, I can be able to add some more missing speech files.
You could also post here other speech ids that you found.


2328 - Julian Wright
2330 -Marcus williams (Spurs?)
2331 - Mike Conley
2333 - Hibert (sounds like)
2338 - Derek Byers
2340 - Splitter (sounds like)
2347 - Justin Williams
2349 - Mike Hall

You can assign these values to the SPEECHID field in players.dbf, which means you can create missing players and then assign speech files to them.

calderon's speech id is 1415 & i believe there is no need to edit in the dbf file coz its in the game already.

Where do you get these speech ids from?


Can you find it for Pet. Ewing too? He is in the 80's team but he is like a created player and Marv and the announcer call him "number 33"

players whos last name is already included in database get their speech id generated automatically ...jordan, pippen, walker ect, i didnt know ewing didnt work ...ill try him more...but i guess no barkley stockton kemp (
i wish somehow we could break down live speech id files like we do vivs , and maybe snatch old players from old nba lives and add em to the latest version...

Jordan does not have any i gues i played with him and his name was not mentioned all they said was that nr 23 scored.

it got set up automaticaly when i created jordan

unfortunatly speechid concerns only marv, not the arena announcer

5218 belongs to jared jordan and not michael jordan i just noticed while looking into the players database.

In the player database michael jordan has speech id 1610 but when he scores all you hear is nr. 23 but not his name, so does this speech id just simply means nr. 23 ? And is there a different speech id i could set there that is really for Michael Jordan ?

Where d oyou guys find the speech id's to begin with and how do you know which one belongs to who ?

jordan had same speech id last year ... i guess people find it by trying a new number n scoring with the guy....very long process...
speech id only concerns marv as i said and only uses the player's last name
so if it belongs to jared too no problem thank god that his mother didnt have an abortion so marv can say "jordan ! with a spectaculare finish !" in the game (makes me like it much more)...and yes announcer with say number 23 cuz announcer speech id is trigger by somethinig else i guess...

5218 is probably the best option.

You can find SPEECHIDs by looking in the names.dbf file.

Did anyone of you guys here ever tried the speechid of the legends used in Live 2006 to Live 08. It didn't work for Live 07. Maybe some of you can try this out

It doesn't look like it will work for players who were removed from NBA Live 2005 onwards, though a few of them (like Michael Jordan) at least have speech files for their surnames.

Here is some speech id's..from id's 5000-5400? there is surnames in alphabetical order of every current NBA player recorded and some others..i tried to search for some old timers (Stockton, Ewing, Barkley etc.) with no result but i found these..notice that Marv will only say their surname announcer still calling the number..
