NBA LIVE 09 Community Project

Alright guys, I'm currently working on a plan to bring about 6 guys to our EA Canada studio to spend some time with our dev team, and really get deep into planning for NBA LIVE 09.

Please pm me your contact information if you'd like to attend. There are NO guarantees that you will be chosen, but this is the first (and only for a while) place that I've posted this in.

Travel, food, and hotel will all be paid for. We just want your thoughts. Tell me WHY you should be chosen to attend this. Are you the most hardcore basketball fan and LIVE is simply not doing it right? Then let us bring you up here and hear your ideas.

Now's your chance guys. We have Community Events every year where people say we bring already known fans of the game in. This is an opportunity to show us your basketball and games knowledge for EA to see.

This is a VERY vocal and proud community. Show us what you think we should do.

why can't they just come to this site and read some of the issues we have?
it is good that they are starting to care about what the community thinks but i am just worried that the wrong guys would be chosen and make a game even crappier than it is!

i mean think about it, most of the hardcore nba-livers are who knows exactly what type of game they want are people who been playing basketball games ever since releases of Lakers Vs Celtics, Bulls Vs. Blazers and even Arch Rivals.

And most of us have jobs and a settled life so we probably won't be able to go there for 6 months to spend etc..

It'd be just a bunch of college dropouts who would have enough time to spend time over there in EA who have no idea of what type of basketball game they really want.

If indeed they care about the community, they should just come to us, and listen to what we have to say. I really wish EA guys would register a name and post something directly to the forum so we can always interact with them. That would be a big thumbs up to the guys at EA in my book.

I agree with you jv0704. EA should be interacting with people like yourself, who have been loyal to the series since its inception and who pay top dollar.

There have been so many issues in every release that were never addressed and these problems carry over to the new releases. Also, the new release would have new sets of issues to be dealt with and the whole cycle would only get worse and worse... :(

The next gen consoles and PC already have online capabilities where players can download EA's developed patches and fixes that will be able to correct issues pertaining to the game. It really shouldn't be that inconvenient for EA at all.

What EA really needs is a little bit of effort in supporting the game after its release.

Playmakers needs to go to this. With his sliders and better game play he has made this a better game.

6 months?? Dude, it's like 3-4 days. It's basically a paid vacation to Canada.

I really think EA should hire some coaches with NBA experience and grill their basketball IQ then translate that into gameplay.

That was one of the most ignorant posts I've ever seen on this forum.

If this is for real... I'm in! I am a crazy bball fan and I know exactly how to fix the game! Live is not up to scratch and if something is not done NBA 2K8 will take over (I believe it already has), I think that therefore makes myself the ultimate critic.. I have been playing since Live '95... Just in case this is true.. I'm in!
