CPU Trades in Dynasty

Postby Donatello on Wed Oct 03, 2007 2:59 pm

I got the game (360 version), and was simming through one season. Let me just say one thing... if you like seeing the CPU do alot of trades, you're going to love this year's Live.

In just the first season, all these guys (and more, can't remember them all) were traded.

Lebron James, Gilbert Arenas, Vince Carter, Joe Johnson, Jermaine O'Neal, Caron Butler, Elton Brand... that's all I can remember at the moment, but there was more.

So, instead of just trying to make trades happen, it seems as though the game has gone to the extreme and made trading 'too' easy. It will be interesting if anyone re-signs due to the fact of roster stability, it might make free agency fun in the off seasons.

That's what I noticed during the demonstration at the Community Day, though they did mention it was going to be toned down by the release.

It must have been absolutely nuts, then, if they've toned it down.

Seperate issue, but I don't really want to make another thread. The 'circle' under the player you're controlling randomly disappears after about 1 1/2 quarters for me in probably 1 game out of 5. I know alot of people hate the circle anyway, but I can't function without it.

Truly is a pretty good game, though. Just a few annoyances (so far ;) )

one trade that happened in my dyansty was that Denver traded Kenyon Martin to Cleveland for Lebron James that was a crazy and wack trade I think a 1st rounder should've been thrown into that trade. So Denver had Anthony on the bench and Lebron starting there lineup was like ( Camby, some rookie, James, Iverson and another rookie) so denver got good and Cleveland got awful.

It sucks especially if the trade is so unfair, pointless or useless. Like in my dynasty the Denver traded K-Mart for Arenas or Jermaine for Iverson. The best trade I have seen so far is when Milwaukee traded Redd for Arenas.

In my dynasty:
1.Denver trade Camby and get Miles(Portland)
2.Charlottle trade Yao(I traded to Charlotte earlier) and get James
3.Chicago use TJ Ford(I traded earlier,37yrs old) and ask me for Gerald Green(Practice to 80+)
EA is crazy,seriously crazy.

Even if the ratings are fairly even, those trade don't seem likely to say the least.

In my dynasty,Cavs and Nuggets changed K-Mart and King James. After I got K-Mart,I use him and a first round pick to get King James, but the Nuggets don't agree.

I wanted to do a realistic Timberwolves dynasty in 08/09. So i simulated the first season for off-season fun with some cap space. But the reality was gone, when Lebron was traded for Boozer and Melo for AK47...

Martin-Wallace isn't really all that ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the Pistons would ever even consider it- but it's not ridiculous.

When I was playing with Miami I recived an offer from Utah. They wanted to trade Boozer for Wade. I turned it down.
Then I recived an offer from Cleveland, they wanted Marion for Gibson and Smith.

I remember that in the second year of that dynasty, Orlando sent Howard to Phoenix for Barbosa. Shaq... to the bench :?

i traded Pau Gasol, Scot Marcos who is a 3 point shooter like Linus Kleiza and more of a role player and one other player I can't remember his name to Denver for Lebron James. My team right now is 20-2 and my team is off to the bench start in the 7th year of my Philadelphia 76ers dynasty. I have a lineup of this

C- Greg Oden
PF- Karlene Hunter- compared to P.J. Brown
SF- Lebron James
SG- Aidan Lewis- cross between Kobe Byrant and Rip Hamiliton
PG- Demarco Stevenson- compared to Chauncey Billups

bench
C- Gary Dixon (7'5")
PF- Antawn Jamison
SF- Morris Peterson
SG-Wesley Ellison - compared to Manu Ginobili
PG- Ty Graham- compared to T.J. Ford
SF- Reggie Nunez
PG- Chris Duhon
SF- Shane Battier
SG- Cameron Wood- compared to David Wesley
PF- Boris Graham- speediest big man I have
