Doesn't seem to bad so far after about 6 games. The dunks suck except for Lebron's sig dunk. It seems as if they just throw it in the hoop without touching the rim instead of throwing it down with emphasis. But really other than that it is miles ahead of Live's previous next gen releases and obviously better than 07 current(old) gen. What really sucks is that the demo is so damn short.

I'm already liking this game. . .It looks amazing on my 42 inch TV. And for people complaining about the shorts, you don't even notice it!!! I only played one game cause me and my bro are rotating, but I'm seriously loving it!! It's better than 2k7 gameplay wise IMO!!! I'm off to play lol!!! I will be buying this game for sure tho, looks and plays amazing so far!!!

that aint no LBJ sig dunk man...

I will say overall from what I've seen it is better than 2k7, the game is fun and plays decent. It just feels a tad slow or unresponsive if you will. Also there is some major AI issues, Tony Parker was the only one to take shots in one of the games I played and he was defended very well. Also, he dunked on 2 people....

Anyway, it is a huge step in the right direction, but I find myself asking....where was this 120 dollars ago?
Opinions are my own.

Yeah, but I expected that!!! It's not bad of a game though. . too bad the demo is only 1 player, I wanted to play against my bro in an actual game!! But the collisions, and1's etc are pretty impressive!! 2k might be better overall, but this is definately a huge step for NBA Live. I like how you can control the tempo of the game

Another note, the lock on defender feature is not bad either, just press the LB button and your player stays infront of the offensive player, People are gonna have to use this frequently in the game especially in crunch time!!

There should be an option to take out some of the dunks too, they look horrible, EA really should focus on making them look more realistic and smoother, and change the dunk sound and make the rim bounce. That might just improve the quality of the dunks

Let me rephrase that for you then.

Its NBA Live 08 LBJ sig dunk.

Did they just re-use the commentary from Live 07? It feels like I´ve heard every single comment before. Don´t get me wrong, it´s still miles ahead of 2k7 but I expected more.

Well, here's the first bug: http://s56.photobucket.com/albums/g161/ ... V00126.flv
That's a bug where the ball goes in the basket and it's not counted. They just snatch the ball and run down the court as if they rebounded a missed ball. They can't let that make it into retail.

How can anyone say this game is better than 2k7? :D That must be a joke. It's a GOOD game, but it's not a great basketball simulation. It's fun and I really like it, and I might end up buying it, but NBA 2K7 is far better. This game looks so silly lots of times, but overall it's a re-freshing experience. I hope they improve it even more in 09.

AND YES, TONY PARKER OWNS YOU IN THIS GAME!! He dunked twice over Marc Gasol in one game , LOL

Haha. While shooting around with Arenas, he airballed a 2 foot layup.

If anyone hasn't noticed, you can select to play with or against the Spain FIBA team as well as the Spurs or the Cavs.

I think I'll have to use that defensive assist button alot. It didn't seem to work at all when I tried it. I wish there was a quick way of using defensive assist plus another button to call for a help defender.

I also think the controls feel a bit unresponsive. However, I felt the same thing with 2k7 and I am displaying the video through my computer's video card, which could be causing a delay.

Also, the breaking out of animations doesn't seem to be all it's cracked up to be. There are still instances where I've had to time my quick strike movements or else they would never happen. It's probably the price we have to pay for having smooth animations.

it looks great. looks like there are no easy lay ups or baskets when guarded inside.

it seems really really slow to me somehow. it's like lebron doesn;t accelerate at all. he doesnt get to the basket and neither did i see many breaks or dunks in game if any.

feel free to post more vids, guys.

Yeah, Spain's my Team!!! I didn't find it unresponsive. . .I played my 1st game when I was still online and the game moved all slow. . then when I exited the game it was fine.

I think with the quick strike you have to get used to how you wanna play and pull off moves. You can't really do that in 2 minute quarters, they should have put 1 quarter 8 minutes or 5 minutes. You can't really get into the game playin the demo

I'll buy it, but I can't judge it until I play with my team. . The Pacers, It's really the only team I pick!!
