Well i would guess the X1300 is better then X1050 so yeah!

Not sure about your processor, it just lists Intel.

Definetly, you could even crank up the resolution to 1280x1024 and still get a good framerate. Not sure if you could run it smoothly if you use antialiasing and anisotropic filtering though.

Those specs are a joke, right? The cards are $30 cards. EA is dropping the ball on the PC side to the extent that someone should be fired. People will upgrade systems for a game, and this could be a better game with even a $50 video card such as a 512MB GEForce 7600. EA could work an OEM deal to sell out someone's stock of older generation cards for people with low end systems - NBA Live Video Card Bundle.

The possibilities on the PC side are endless, if EA would be less lazy on the PC side.

C'mon people, we all know why the system req's are a big fat greek joke...

The game is ancient gen and that is why the reqs are as low as they are... We already have PC's that could easily handle the "old" gen games as well, but that would require more work from EA.

Hope they finally start porting the better version of Live to the PC next year. The new consoles aren't that spectacular compared to the new PCs around.

Actually, a poster here made very good comment about the PC port. Everyone assumes that EA can't port the PS3/XBOX360 next-gen version for a good TECHNICAL reason. The reason is MONEY.


1) PC game prices are lower and the margins are lower.

2) EA probably gets some sort of kickback from Sony or Microsoft for making their game available on that system. (no kickbacks for the PC)

3) In return for #2, EA makes a shit version for the PC (and even tried to eliminate it altogether in 2002) so that people will buy a PS3 or XBOX360.

4) No competitor bball sim on PC so no reason to improve the game. Why give a beggar $20 bucks to blow you when he'll do it for $5?


All versions of the game are programmed ON THE PC! You think some programmer is out there programming on a PS3??? So the game is naturally PC compatible. They then port it to the XBOX360 and other consoles. Before they port it, they test the freaking game ON A PC!

Someone at EA is "please fire me" ignorant. A quality NBA Live game on PC that takes advantage of the NextGen+ capabilities of newer PC hardware would sell hardware. There are all sorts of deals EA could make with PC hardware companies.

Even last gen and two gen ago PC hardware can do a lot more than NBA Live on PC requires. Even if EA were to make a small upgrade, people would be able to play on PC with a $50 video card, and someone could empty their shelves of older video cards with double what the upcoming '08 PC game requires.

If EA wanted to make it obvious, they could release a "Deluxe Director's version" with next-gen graphics and sell that for $50. I don't care as much about the PC price as I do about the game. Face it, after last year's debacle, the only people buying 08 are hardcore fans anyway - fans who'll pay $75 for the game if it's good. EA is dumb if they think there are impulse buyers out there who randomly choose this game off the shelf.

I really think the people at Microsoft or PS3 made them not release a good version on the PC. All things equal, I'd buy the PC version in a second.
