What a difference a change makes.

The Bulls, trailing 2-0 in the NBA Finals series to San Antonio, shifted McMillan and Lewis to the starting lineup in place of Mirotic and McDermott. Mirotic is a better scorer than Lewis. McMillan is a better defender than McDermott, who is particularly weak on perimeter D. The result was a 103-91 road win in a game in which the Bulls led by as many as 25 points.

Jordan scored 34, Panko had 20 with 9 assists, Noah had 10 with 12 rebounds, and McMilian held Leonard to his eries low 12 points. Leonard, guarded primarily by McDermott in games 1 and 2, scored 26 and 23 points in those games.

Parker led the Spurs in scoring with 16 points.

Jordan scored 39, but the Bulls fell 96-95 to the Spurs in San Antonio. Now the Bulls, down 3-1, have to win 3 in a row to stop a Spurs repeat.

"If you win the next game, you can't be eliminated," said Michael Jordan.

Ginobili led the Spurs with 24 points. Duncan recorded a double double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Panko scored 3 points on 1-11 shooting, including 1-4 in three pointers. He had 11 assists. "I have to shoot better than that, better than awful, to win games," he said.

Bulls live to fight another day.

Facing elimination, the Bulls overcame an early 4th quarter 10 point deficit to beat the Spurs 104-98.

Panko scored 33 with 8 assists, Mirotic scored 24 with 8 rebounds, Noah had 17 rebounds, and Jordan added 22 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Duncan had 20 points and 9 rebounds for the Spurs.

The Spurs lead 3-2 in the series as it moves back to San Antonio for game 6.

What's New?

The Bulls are making a habit out of this game 7 business. Michael Jordan paved the way for an NBA Finals Game 7 showdown with 49 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in a Bulls' 112-107 victory in San Antonio. Mirotic scored 18 with 10 rebounds, Panko scored 11 with 12 assists. Parker and Ginobili led the Spurs with 22 and 20 points respectively.

The Bulls beat the Cavs 117-114 in game 7 of the East Semifinals as Jordan scored 49. MJ and company knocked off the 70-71 Lakers 121-114 in game 7 of the East Finals. Michael scored 55 in that game. The Spurs only lost two games on their way to the finals. So the Bulls are definitely in more familiar territory.

Game 7 Drama - No Problem for World Champion Bulls

When the Bulls faced Lebron and the Cleveland Cavaliers in game 7 of the East Conference Semifinals, Michael Jordan stepped up with 49 points. When the Bulls faced Wilt, West and the 70-71 Lakers in game 7 of the East Conference Finals, Michael dropped 55. Michael Jordan gave the fans more of the same with an impressive, if not legendary, performance in game 7 of the NBA Finals - 35 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. His Airnness led the Bulls to their 7th NBA title: it was their first championship in 19 years. Mirotic added 21 points with 9 rebounds, Panko delivered 14 assists, and Noah pulled down 14 rebounds.

The Spurs cut into the Bulls 11 point half time lead but never cut into it enough to matter. Parker led the Spurs with 24 points. Duncan was 2 rebounds shy of a double double (10/8), while Leonard missed a double double by one rebound (12/9).
