Chicago Bulls roster for the upcoming NBA Season
Image

And the Depth Chart

PG: Derrick Rose / Nate Robinson / Marquis Teague
SG: Rip Hamilton / Kirk Hinrich / Marco Belinelli
SF: Luol Deng / Jimmy Butler
PF: Carlos Boozer / Taj Gibson / Vladimir Radmanovic
C: Joakim Noa / Greg Oden / Nazr Mohammed

I only signed Greg Oden from free agency, to backup Noa, otherwise i think the Bulls have enough depth to make a playoff run. And i wont be trading anybody in the first season.

First Game of the NBA Season

Phoenix Suns 103 - 110 Chicago Bulls

Starting Lineups:
Image

A Little about the game
Derrick Rose picked up 2 fouls in the first quarter, so he had to sit out much of the first half, that gave chance to rookie PG M.Teague, who showed hes more than capable of backing up Rose. By second half, we were hitting wide open threes every trip down the court. This helped us to win the game. Then Derrick Rose caught on fire, hitting 4 three pointers in a row. Out of Rose's 38 points, 15 came from wide open three's.

Team Stats:
Image

BIG Thumbs up to Luol Deng for hitting 1 free throw to clinch it at the end, plus he did a solid job in the rebounding category.

Image
Deng at the free throw line

Player of the game: Derrick Rose
Rose ended up with 38 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 1 steal

Upcoming 5 games for Chicago Bulls:

at Sacramento
vs Los Angeles Lakers
at Washington
vs San Antonio
vs Cleveland

And a tough win, i was down most of the game. Took the lead for the first time in the 4rth quarter. Teague is a BOSS, i'm looking forward what the future brings.

Game 2 ( simmed with Hoopcast )

Chicago Bulls 98 - Sacramento Kings 86

Image

Chicago Bulls maintained their 100% start to the NBA Season with a solid win over the Sacramento Kings. Even though the Kings had much of the possession, the Bulls still managed to come out victorious.

Some team stats aswell:
Image

Player of the game: Luol Deng

Image

Deng dropped 24 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 4 assists, blocked a shot and had 2 steals.

After 2 games, the central division looks like this:

Next up we have LA Lakers ( 3-1 ).

Now i know this post was quite "empty", but i've decided to play every game, to get more info and SC's.

Game 3

LA Lakers 106 - 108 Chicago Bulls

Starting Lineups:
Image

Well what can i say, this was one of the most nerve racking games i have ever played in 2K13. Lakers had early rhythm and dominated on the glass for much of the early goings. Once again D Rose got into foul trouble, this time it was Kirk Hinrich who bailed us out. Hinrich also with BIG three pointers in the 4th quarter. Kobe just went off, he had 39 points and 5 assists, but it wasn't enough.

Team stats:
Image

Player of the game: Derrick Rose
Rose ended up with 32 points and 13 assists

Image
Rose dunking it down

Some news around the league:
Lamarcus Aldridge - Bruised Thigh - Hurt for 1-2 weeks
Monta Ellis - Back Spasms - Day-to-Day
Chris Bosh - Strained Hamstring - Hurt for 1-2 week
Greg Oden - Torn ACL - Out for the season

This guy is just amazing, i hoped he would stay fit for like a half of season, but the second practice session? Unbelivable...

About the draft, i'm thinking of making a trade to get a top 3 pick, beacuse i really want Shabazz from UCLA. He would start right off the bat at the SG position. Good idea, or bad?

Nice start and win over the Lakers, and the socks on D Rose are mint haha

As for Shabazz, if you want to keep things realistic, I'd say you'd have to create a package around Deng/Butler/Robinson/1st rounder, or something to that effect. Of course it will depend on the team you're dealing with.

Fourth game of the season

Chicago Bulls 72 - 69 Washington Wizards: Bulls come up on top in an low scoring event

Starting lineups:
Image

Bulls' players knew this was a must win game, against one of the worst teams in the NBA. Wizards had a record of 2-4 before the game. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau went over the game plan on how to guard John Wall and rookie Bradley Beal. The gameplan was simple, make them commit silly turnovers and punish at the other end. Chicago was shooting an impressive 3-point %, which at .527 was the best in the league.

Some rumors surrounding the Bulls:

Image
Image

Derrick Rose is currently in 3rd place in the All star voting, only behind Brandon Jennings and Rajon Rondo ( East & Guards )

1 trade also to bring to you:

Knicks trade Ronnie Brewer for Arnett Moultrie and 2013 first round pick from the 76ers.

Game 5 of the NBA season

San Antonio Spurs 90 - 78 Chicago Bulls: Ginobili posts 22 as Spurs hand Bulls first loss of the season

Starting lineups:
Image

First loss of the season for the Bulls. We had all the momentum in the first half, winning by 9 at the half time. We were totally outmatched in the offensive rebounding category, Spurs had 13 offensive rebounds while we only had 5. Once again we shot fantastic three point %. 9 out of 17, Bulls have the best avg in the NBA. Bulls had a horrid time handling the ball tonight, with 10 steals for Spurs. Free throwing is another mayor issue. With only 5 out of 9, we have much work to do. In anycase, Spurs totally outclassed us tonight, in almost every department.

Team stats:

Manu Ginobili 22 points / 5 assists / 3 rebounds
