1978 was the last time the city of Washington was crowned champion. It has been 34 years since the last Larry O'Brien trophy was brought to DC. My job as the new Washington Wizards General Manager is to build a second Championship team in the District. With no experience prior to this NBA opportunity, you could say from day one that i'm on the hot seat here in Washington. So now let me present to you the Washington Wizards 2012-2013 training camp roster.

Dale Dubcek: Well hello Wizards fans, I am here with Chris Swoops, your new general manager for the Washington Wizards.
Chris Swoops: Thanks for having me Dale.
Dale Dubcek: So i have heard rumors that you are a players manager, can you explain?
Chris Swoops: Well Dale, I am not like most managers, i like to be with my players at all times and treat them as well as the organization as more than just a business. When someone comes here, I want them to be ecstatic. Winning to me is not the most important thing if its not done the right way.
Dale Dubcek: Well said, so let me know... Will you continue to push this team down the same path of lottery draft picks with no results and Will this team even have the shot of making the playoffs?
Chris Swoops: Dale, there will be a lot of changes in Washington this year, you have my word on that. In the past couple years this organization has gone down the wrong path. From the Arenas gun episode to Andray Blatche not wanting to play in 2011-2012. This team needs culture change. I am very close with John Wall, Nene and Brad Beal and they are on board with my vision for this team. If we play this new brand of Wizards basketball, I promise you the sky is the imit for this team.
Dale Dubcek: Thank You Mr. Swoops and along with all the Wizards fans, this is Dale Dubcek. Out

"First off i would like to wish John Wall a speedy recovery and although we did lose the biggest piece of our franchise for possibly the whole season, I believe in this organization. We will get through this with John on the sideline still leading our team. I promise DC will still be in race for the #8 spot. We will make this City Proud".
