Final Score: 65-78
"It might be the start of the season, but you have to start with the right foot forward.": said Mark Jackson after his coaching debut under the Golden State Warriors.
Yes, we have finally made it. The start of 2011-2012 NBA season, and the first match to give us a blast was the Los Angeles Clippers rolling to the Oracle arena against the Warriors. Both teams have made some exciting changes, but the biggest of them all, is the capture of CP3. None the less, this game was going to be a great one.
It started off pretty intense, as both teams showed their greater shooting skills. You could not seperate a underdog from the "Goliath", as both teams were playing good defence, by their standards. With Ellis and Curry being the leaders on the home team, Billups was showing some great talent with his scoring aswell. You can`t cross Chris Paul off the list aswell.
But the whole game heated up in the forth, as Mo Williams took charge and scored 7 straight points, to take the lead. After that moment, it was a back and back affair. Klay Thompson, playing his first game, had a vicious 3-point shot, while Ellis made his scoring numbers bigger. Warriors started pulling away, bit by bit, with Los Angeles fading. And as Golden State scored 10 more points than the Clippers in the forth, the game ended 78-65.Player Of The Game

[1-0] Golden State Warriors @ Charlotte Bobcats [0-1}
Final Score: 68-71
"We might have lost our first, but the boys proved here tonight, that we are making a change this season": was Kemba Walkers first comment after the match.
After a first-game loss by the Magic, and a first-game win over the Clippers, both of these teams were coming off different grounds, as the Charlotte Bobcats hosted the Golden State Warriors. If you saw GSW first game, you could have swarn that this one would be the easier task. However, it was totally opposite.
Like the Bobcats first game, Kemba started taking charge early. With his skill, he dominated and scored easily. On the other hand, David Lee was hitting jumpers pretty well, while Curry wanted to take charge. It was really neck-and-neck, until the forth quarter.
Charlotte started taking control. Kemba increased his numbers to a very impressive amount of points, while Warriors were having trouble getting the best shots. However, when Klay Thompson hit the court, he started hitting those shots, and got the game back for them. In the final minute, game went too intense and both teams shots started missing. But, with Kemba dribbling past and hitting the last shot, he took the narrow lead, which left 10 seconds on the clock. Warriors played the ball upcourt, and played Curry to an open shot..which ended with a miss. And with that, the game was closed, with the final scoreline of 68-71.Player Of The Game

[1-3] Memphis Grizzlies @ Golden State Warriors [1-1}
Final Score: 73-88
"Rudy was a massive scorer, but you need the whole team to contribute": were the disappointing words from the Memphis Grizzlies headcoach Lionel Hollins. Rudy Gay finished the first half with 19 points, scoring all of his teams points in the first. But what happened?
I tell you what, Warriors happened. Coming off a loss, they were really motivated. As the game started off in foul trouble, mainly because of Rudy Gay and his amazing skills of getting on the line. Yet Golden State kept it close. A lot of players stepped up, but mostly their scoring leader, Monta Ellis.
But was it the last of Gay? No way, he was still very hot. He got on the line and hit 13 free throws, out of 13. For that moment, Warriors got the message. They can`t do it alone. So, Curry started scoring and dishing, finishing the game with a double-double. David Lee was tremendous with his fadeaway over Zack Randolph. And coming off a sprained ankle, Wright was second in scoring, hitting 3-3 from deep.
With that, Warriors closed the game, winning 88-73.Player Of The Game

[3-3]Boston Celtics @ Golden State Warriors [2-1}
Final Score: 84-89
"If I am totally honest, I had a feeling that the shot will miss. But when we won em in overtime, it hit me. I actually did save the game": said Stephen Curry after the game. Curry had nailed a three-pointer, that sent the game to overtime, but what happened before?
The Celtics season has been dull, as they were 500. and slacking. Warriors however came off from a really morale-boosting victory, that changed the game for them. The Big Three + Rondo however are no joke to deal with.
Boston grabbed the lead early on, as they were dominating with their main man, Ray-Ray, and his threes. Pierce was playing well, but the real problem was KG. He has a tough time holding David Lee, so Golden State put their main offense on him. However, Ellis did not leave the people in a disappointing way, he was killing it. But the Celtics seemed too much for them.
Well, until the forth quarter. Stephen Curry caught fire, as he scored 15 of his points in the forth, dominating with style. And with Ellis missing the two to get the game closer, Lee grabbed a rebound and passed it to Curry, who sent the game to OT with a 3 of his own.
In there, it was not a huge duel, as Celtics still wanted to keep it close, but the Warriors were too much. In the end, it finished 89-84, with the Celtics dropping under 500.Player Of The Game

[3-1]Golden State Warriors @ Phoenix Suns [3-2}
Final Score: 80-79
"It`s getting tougher and tougher every game, but I like I showed tonight, injuries don`t stop me, I am out there to win." was the slight-egotistic comment from Dorell Wright. Killing the game with a three to take a one point lead, he had all rights to call himself the "bomb-diggity".
Phoenix and Warriors are leading the Pacific division, but the winner of tonights game would certainly change. Warriors would be up ahead completely while for Phoenix, they could rise up in the playoff look. Either way, it was bound to be a great game. It started off with the Warriors taking the early edge, mostly for their great play on the wings. Suns were down on themselves in the first, as nothing was working. Second came, and Steve Nash started dishing to Brown, who was on fire. He hit all of his threes in the second, five of them. Warriors were still being productive, mostly because of Monta Ellis.
However, on came the third, and the Suns took the lead. Not only had Nash thrown out 11 assists, the 12 points were also a helping factor. They took the lead, and with Dudley and Frye still playing well, it was very difficult for the Warriors.
Until it was Monta hour. Ellis went on fire, with Thompson and Rush behind him, but with Hill hitting a fade-away shot over Curry, they took the lead by two, with 17 seconds on the clock. Warriors wanted to run a play, that did not seem very effective, but when the ball got in Wrights hand, he drilled it from deep, taking a one point lead with 3 seconds left on the clock. After that, Nash did not get the ball that well, and was forced to a difficult shot, that got air-balled.
In the end, the Warriors has beaten two very tough teams in two days, but this one finished 80-79.Player Of The Game

It takes two to tango
Nolan Smith debuts in a wild game, as he finished with 13 points and 5 assists
--
With the best teams, ahead of their respected conferences, this was one of the matches everybody wanted to see. Both teams were ready to play, but the reason why Warriors took it was simple. Ellis and Curry, the highest scoring backcourt in the game, finished with 35 points together, but that was not all. A new duo showed itself, as Nolan Smith and Klay Thompson were playing great together, and finished with 27 points total. While Derrick Rose had the best solo game, nobody in his team helped him, as that was the reason for the loss.

A clutch three from Wright won them the game, but it was Montas 28 points. Monta right now is holding the first place in PPG.
But they ain`t the highest scoring backcourt for only Ellis. Curry came out and scored 20 points and chipped in with 5 assists in the game against Toronto.
A lot of people are thinking that Jrue Holiday is leaving Philadelphia. He did finish the game with 12 points.
