Saw Rise, thought of this :

I hope you go with the Kaman+Bledsoe+Aminu for Paul deal, don't give up Gordon. Jordan-Blake-Butler-Gordon-Paul would be tremendous fun to play with I reckon.

Will start this thing once the season started, I'm really excited for this team. Hell, CP3 - Griffin - Jordan is fun to play, but up to now, I still regret they traded Gordon away. And not to mention, I also like Kaman. However, I need to find some decent backup for Griffin and Jordan, depth is what the team needs now. Cheers for those who checked in here. (Y)

Clips just signed Reggie "I grabbed all the balls, even Kaman's" Evans in RL and are currently waiting on Joel "Vanilla Gorilla" Przybilla if he will play or retire

Rise × Lob City - Season Preview

Postby Justine. on Sun Mar 11, 2012 8:58 pm

2011-2012 LA Clippers Season Preview

        Image

The Los Angeles Clippers have, on paper, transformed into what could be a serious playoff team in the Western Conference with the
offseason acquisitions of Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups and Caron Butler.

Paul arrived via trade for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu and the coveted 2012 Minnesota Timberwolves pick (unprotected).
It was a bold move that landed the Clippers two true superstars in Paul and second-year sensation Blake Griffin.

Now suddenly the Clippers are a team that is not just thinking playoffs but a sustained level of success.

Last season: 32-50, 4th in Pacific Division, 13th in West.

Key Departures: Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, Minnesota’s unprotected 2012 first round draft pick.

Key Additions: Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups, Caron Butler.

Best case scenario: One could easily make the case that the best case scenario for the Clippers has already taken place, even before a
single game has been played yet this season. L.A. is now more relevant than ever with the acquisition of Chris Paul, and we’re talking about
a team that had a considerable buzz around it last season with the above-the-rim play of then-rookie Blake Griffin. Moreover, we’re talking
about a franchise that has overall been the league’s worst for decades, and this is their one shot to lay claim to a large section of Los Angeles
    basketball fans.

Worst case scenario: The Clippers will still screw this up, because historically they always have. Find a way to screw this up, because
historically they always have? Not this time, at least not this season. There are depth issues in all areas but guard for the Clippers, so if
health becomes a factor for any of the team’s big names, they may struggle to make the playoffs. But injuries aren’t something you can predict.

There will be a lot of pressure on the Clippers front office to put pieces around Paul to enable the team to compete with the big names in the
West, but that’s a season or two away. For now, the Clips are relevant, and all they need to do is make it into the first round of the playoffs
to keep that momentum going into next season.

Prediction: 44-38, 7th seed in the Western Conference.

Wow. You made easy work out of one of the better teams in the West (Y) Just out of personal preference it might be easier to read if for the stats you put all numbers instead of writing out "seven rebounds".

Thank you for the advice .dan! Will edit it for now. Grizzlies is tough to handle, Gay + Mayo is a deadly combo. Plus that frontcourt too. But I'm glad CP3 did the work. (Y)

Crawford is tough to stop in 2K... And I'm assuming the roster you're using is opening day's since the Blazers still have Camby; I thought at the beginning of the season with that roster that they were a West Finals caliber team, so no shame in dropping this one so early in the season
