Start Harrington above Martin and your team will be pretty nice.

Melo couldn't win it for the Nuggets

Image

--Denver,Colorado

Carmelo Anthony decided to change his jersey number this season. After 7 years of wearing number 15 he went back to his high school years and change it to 22.Melo said that this is his new beginning after watching how some of his friends are his BIGGEST enemies right now.Lebron,Wade and Chris Bosh formed the Miami Heat trio.Anthony said that he's pride to wear the sky blue jerseys and he will never sell down the river. He also added that the Nuggets are the number 1 contenders in the west and that they might win the NBA Championship this year(most of the analyst thought he was drunk).
In the opening night the Nuggets welcomed the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Pepsi Center. The Wolves lost their first game against the New York Knicks and they were looking for a win in that division rivalry.
Jonny Flynn was on fire as he scored 7 points in the first 2 minutes for a 14-6 scoring run. Then when everything looked bad for the Nuggets, their star,Carmelo Anthony made some nice post moves and he produced 4 assists in the first quarter.
Michael Beasley and Kevin Love were one of the reasons why the Nuggets lost this game.In two or three crucial moments Love and Beasley were monsters under the Nuggets rim, grabbing some offensive rebounds which they turned into second chance points.
At the end of the game,at 89-89 and 13 seconds left,Chauncey Billups made a stupid foul and Flynn was sent to the line. The sophomore had no trouble and he was 2/2.In the last Denver attack you can see at the picture how Melo was double-teamed and he couldn't seal the win.
The Nuggets will look for their first win next time when they meet the Utah Jazz and one of the best point guards in the league,Deron Williams.

Notable Performances :

Carmelo Anthony - 31 points,9 assists,1 rebound
Chauncey Billups - 15 points,7 assists,2 steals
Nene Hilario - 4 points,13 rebounds,6 blocks,3 steals

Jonny Flynn - 23 points,7 assists,2 rebounds
Michael Beasley - 16 points,11 rebounds

@ Hyperize, naah i dont think so,Love and Beasley are just too good, they won the game. For real i dont think they'll do better this year. Thanks for the comment

@ KD # 35, Not sure Melo will earn it this year,im more concentrate on winning the championship.

I think that i should add younger and more quicker point guard. But Chauncey has great experience and i dont know what should I do.

Billups is really good in the game imho. You also have Lawson, so the PG spot is not the biggest problem. This Denver team can compete, I hope you have better luck next time.

Afflalo's block secures first win for the Nuggets

-- Denver,Colorado

Starting off with 20-6 scoring run in the first quarter, the Denver Nuggets won their first game this season. They beat the Utah Jazz 80 to 76 at the Pepsi Center in the Mile-High city. Both of the teams didnt have a win at the start of the game after the Nuggets lost to the Wolves and the Jazz lost at the Staples against LA Lakers.
Arron Afflalo opened the game with a 3-pointer,then Chauncey Billups did the same for a quick 6-0 start. The Nuggets were moving the ball very quickly and they had too many wide open shots. At the half,it was all looking good for them with a good 17-point lead. But with the start of the 3rd quarter everything turn around and the fans at the Pepsi Center were really worried. With the help of Andrei Kirilenko and Paul Millsap the Jazz downed the lead to 3 points at the end of the 3rd after a 25-11 quarter.
It surely was another close game. With 2 point lead for the Nuggz,Carmelo Anthony missed a shot and Deron Williams found the newly acquired Allen Iverson.AI was thinking of an easy lay-up when suddenly Arron Afflalo chased him down and put his shot on the backboard with 30 seconds left(play on the picture above). In the next attack Carmelo Anthony made a nice bounce pass to Nene after a pick-and-roll play and the brazilian scored the 80th point.

Notable Performances :

Carmelo Anthony - 26 points,2 rebounds,5 assists
Nene - 8 points,7 rebounds,3 assists,2 steals and 3 blocks
Arron Afflalo - 12 points,2 rebounds,1 assists 3/4 from the 3pt line

--Sacramento,California

The Sacramento Kings won their home game against the Nuggets in the debut of the 2 new "kings".Josh Howard and Kirk Hinrich were traded from the Washington Wizards to the Sacramento Kings before 3 days. The Wizards get Samuel Dalembert and Antoine Wright from the deal.
Anyway with really low attendance at the game only about 10,300 people,Denver were considered favorites after a good win against the Jazz last time but Sacramento didn't accept defeat. In the game they show great defense and great work on the boards. They had 36 rebounds while the Nuggets had 24.Also Sacramento grabbed 12 on offense.DeMarcus Cousins was the leading rebounder with 14 boards,he won the player of the game award.
That was very poor game for most of the Nuggets.Nene was the first their player to score and he scored the first 8 points(he finished with 8).Carmelo Anthony had 21 and Arron Afflalo had 17.Six players finished with 4 points. The 3rd quarter was the turning point.Sacramento started off with a 14-2 scoring run and the Nuggets were held to only 7 points.

Despite telling the world that Chauncey Billups is staying,GM Masai Ujiri said after the game that this was Billups last game with the blue jersey.

Notable Performances :

Carmelo Anthony - 21 points,6 rebounds,4 assists,3 steals
Demarcus Cousins - 6 points,14 rebounds,2 assists,6 steals,2 blocks
Tyreke Evans - 18 points,5 assists,5 rebounds

Meet the new guys

Image

After serious trade talks in the last few weeks, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Denver Nuggets agreed on a deal.Al Harrington and Chauncey Billups + '12 1st round draft pick were sent to the Bucks in exchange of 2nd year point guard Brandon Jennings and Michael Redd.Redd will be a free agent next summer(like most of the Nuggets) and probably he wont be re-signed to the team.He is now earning 18 millions per year. The Nuggets also sign former Nets power forward,Sean Williams known like Area 51.

Michael Redd was born in Columbus,Ohio. He is a 31-year old veteran who played only for the Milwaukee Bucks. He was selected in round 2 with pick 43 in the 2000 NBA Draft. He is most known for his great shooting from the 3pt line.Redd was an all-star in 2004.He is also an Olympic gold medalist with the USA national team at Beijing 2008.He holds the NBA record for most three points in a quarter with 8 in the fourth quarter against the Rockets back in 2002.

Brandon Jennings was born in Compton,California. He is 10 years older than Redd,21.Jennings decided to skip college and he went to play in Europe where he played for Lottomatica Roma.He was choosed by the Bucks with the 10th pick in 2009 NBA Draft.Brandon Jennings is the youngest player to score 50+ points in a single game.Last year he dropped 55 on the Warriors which is tying record in the NBA for points scored by a rookie.
Jennings was extremely happy about joining the Nuggets. He tweeted "mile high city babbyyyyy,im so excited, cnt wait to play my first game, for all my fans ill be wearin #1.Yung Nugg is comin' !!"

No offense man, but that trade is horrid. Redd is washed up, but his expiring contract may make him trade bait.

Jennings is good, but man, Billups is better than him... Trust me.

The trade is pretty even, although I doubt the Bucks would give away Jennings in real life. You went for potential in there, which may be the right choice as you keep loosing.
