"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

A strong quote coming from Cav's Owner Dan Gilbert after Lebron James shocked the whole NBA after deciding to leave his homestate and go to South Beach and join fellow all-stars, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh to form a dominating trio in the Eastern Conference. Now, Dan Gilbert, GM Chris Grant and new Head Coach Byron Scott better prove themselves that they are still one strong contender at the Easterrn Conference without the King, buy how could they do it?

Richard Jefferson lands to Cleveland

Former San Antonio Spurs star, Richard Jefferson had come to terms with the Cavaliers and signed a 49.5M 5 year contract this afternoon after having a press conference this afternoon with Cleveland's Owner, Dan Gilbert and GM Chris Grant. Jefferson will be replacing Lebron's spot at the Cavs but then when ask if he will be, he answered, "I am happy filling in the King's spot in this team but I tell you people I am still going to wear my 24 jersey here in Ohio and not 23!", while Dan Gilbert is very happy with the decision of aquiring the 13th pick of the 2001 Draft. Jefferson had a record of 12.3 PPG and .467 %FG this season with the Spurs.

Rumors:
Some sources say that the Cavs are planning to unload Mo Williams and Delonte West via trade to clear some cap space. Possible reasons are for them to sign Mike Miller or the returning Allen Iverson after announcing his return this season.

Well yeah... I may come think twice about that... I thought of that because of my obsessions of Iverson of joining Cavs lol.... I just hope the sim teams are smart enough with their signings... sigh

Mike Miller will be joining Anthony Parker this season in Cleveland

Cavs welcomes Miller before Season Opener

The Cavs had finally signed the 2000 5th Draft Pick, Mike Miller to a 55.5M 5 year contract this afternoon just right after trading Daniel Gibson to New York and Delonte West to New Jersey for future draft picks last night. Miller decided to sign with the Cavs after they beat Lakers' offer sheet and will wear 22. "I am happy to be a part of this team and I would really like to help this team get their title this season", Miller told the media at a press conference. Miller had 10.9 PPG and .480 %3PT last season with the Wizards.

Cavs getting ready for the Season, so does the King
Head Coach Byron Scott is very excited for their first game of the season as they face the visiting Dallas on October 31st. " I can't wait to see how the Cavs pull out a victory and I am so confident that we'll be winning our first game with Jefferson being in good shape along with Mo, Jamison, and the addition of Mike Miller, we're going to leave Quciken's with smiles on our faces. On the other hand, Lebron James is also excited with his first game with Bosh and Wade in Miami against Detroit Pistons. James told the press that he is also happy on how the Cavs is coming along and wished Dan Gilbert will finally bury the hatchet.

welcome to the boards man and a good franchise to start with (they're gonna need all the help they can get this season)

great move acquiring RJ; Miller too, though I'm not too hip on it if it cost moving West and Booby in order to do so

anyway, at least coach Scott now has some decent pieces to play with post-LBJ era (Y)

Thanks, well yeah... I need to take a risk of trading Gibson and West for Miller, hope the team can still work out without them.

Tough Loss against the Mavs, Butler rises
The much anticipated game of the Cavaliers turned out to be a disaster as they loss to the Dallas Maverick (103-93), in their home court. The fans are not very happy with the outcome of the game since Cavs is having a great momentum at the start that let the Dallas trail by 10 points during the first half but then it suddenly changed at the second half when alot of missed shots were made by the Cavs that let Jason Kidd and Caron Butler do some fastbreak and narrowed down the Cav's lead by one. Fourth quarter is just not to good for the Cavs as they failed to gain back their momentum, and continues to trail behind. Caron Butler is the high point man with 35 points, thanks to Jason Kidd's help. Byron Scott told the press at a post-game interview that team just suddenly lost their tracks at the second half that let the Mavs find some opening to get back.

Cavaliers | 25 (1Q) 29 (2Q) 20 (3Q) 19 (4Q) 93 (Total)
Dallas | 22 (1Q) 25 (2Q) 24 (3Q) 32 (4Q) 103 (Total)

Leaders:
Points - Richard Jefferson (26), Caron Butler (35)
Rebounds - Antawn Jamison (10), Dirk Nowitzki (10)
Assists - Maurice Williams (4), Jason Kidd (10)

After having a tough loss with the Mavericks, a lot of fans and critics are losing their hopes that this team can be a champion. It could be too early to expect but how can a team with only 10 players, no strong center and a back up point guard be a champion? Stay Tuned

Cavs bounces back against NYK! Miller Soars high

After a tough loss against the Mavs, Cleveland bounces back with a home victory against the New York Knicks with a final score of 115-114. The Cavs got their momentum at the first half that gave them a lead up to 12 pts. The Knicks never give up as they fight back at the second half with Amare's strong defense with Gallinari and Chandler doing the fast breaks but in the end, the Cavs managed to get the win earning them their first win of the season. The whole night belongs to Mike Miller after contributing 39 points in the game including 7/9 3 point shots. "After our disappointing loss with the Mavs, we promise to win our next game for the fans and we just did it. I feel we just won an NBA title.", Mike Miller said at a post-game interview. JJ Hickson was also given some additional minutes challenging Amare' in the paint and let him made 6 pts. and 4 Rebounds. Anthony Parker also did some impressive job by taking the role of Mo Williams' back up point guard. Byron Scott is truly happy with the outcome of the game, he believes that this team is now starting to rebuild itself.

Wow, 7/9 from 3 and 39 points? If you keep this up, the Cavs will win a ring before the King!

Close one, congrats on the win. Sharp shooting by Miller, as someone who's always struggled a bit shooting threes in Live I admire that effort. :)

Thanks with the feedback guys, I don't know if it is because I am playing in Superstar mode but the Knicks aren't doing any zone defense in that game. They all are just standing in one place that gives Miller some space (just look at my picture where Hickson gets the rebound against Randolph).

Next game will be against Amare's former team, the Suns!

I was thinking of doing this after the off-season so the rosters would be realistic. Oh well good luck! Hope you at least make the playoffs (Y)

Solid additions in Jefferson and Miller. (Y) If I were to start a dynasty with the Cavs now, I wouldn't have went about rebuilding the team any differently myself. I didn't think it would be that tough to beat the Knicks though, even if they do have Amar'e. :)

Cavs got their second win after 2 OT's (157-155)

The fans around the US airways arena left very happy after a game between the Phoenix Suns and the Cleveland Cavaliers as it reached almost an hour due to 2 heated OT's. The first half belongs to Nash and his Orange Gang as they are on the lead. The Cavs can't get enough of Nash and his amazing field goals but Coach Byron Scott found a way to stop their streak at the second half that involves Mike Miller getting inside the foul line for give away shots. The fourth quarter was intense as both RJ and Jamison lead their pack while J-Rich and Nashty tried to stop them. Mike Miller tries to go for the three at the final seconds but he failed that sends them to Overtime. The first OT of the game had another story as Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison teamed up for some back to back action while Richard Jefferson throws down some jams but then Nash is still a challenge for them as he keeps their scores close that sends them to another overtime. The 2nd Overtime gave JJ Hickson some timeto shine as Jamison rests while RJ does the job to keep the Cavs strong. Miller continues to get himself fouled for the free throw while Varejao was got hurt after a tough collision with Robin Lopez and let Leon Powe shows up for the first time. In the final minutes, Jamison returns inside the court and helped RJ inside the paint. The second OT ended and the Cavs won with a final score of 157-155.

I think you should add box scores, especially for games like this. :)
