Like what the title says, The Hornets were just hanging around the whole game, they werent able to take the lead but they tied the game twice but that wasnt enough to take down the defending champs, The Hornets Had no answer to Kobe Bryant who had 31 Points in the game along with 4 assists and 4 boards. And through rebounding the Lakers gained advantage against the Hornets. despite Chris Paul's 22 Points, 8 Assists and 11 Steals and becoming the Jordan Player of the game, it was nothing compared to the Lakers Defense and Offense.

Paul powers Hornets against Blazers


They did slow down David West a bit limiting him to only 16 Points and 5 rebounds, But they could not stop Chris Paul who had 45 Points 3 Rebounds 12 Assists and 6 Steals, and another factor to the Hornets win was Marcus Thornton in his 1st start made an impact had 17 Points 3 Rebounds 3 Assists, thou Roy made an impact after a slow start in the game but exploded in the 2nd half and finished with 39 Points.

In a crucial possesion with 1:30 mins left in the fourth Rondo was fouled out of the game after a SUPER BAD FOUL in which Chris Paul made a 3 Points-play in which gave the hornets a 4 points lead and Mo Pete showed an impressive shooting performance hitting back2back 3's and late game free throws.
