Young impresses in narrow win
Kenny Young has made the most of his opportunity as the Boston Celtics beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 53-52. In his 12 minutes of play, the highlight of his play was his rebounding, picking up 7 boards. Although he only scored two points, he well and truly won the small forward positional battle and showed off some versality as well by playing some power forward against Cleveland's J.J. Hickson.
Overall there was much to like about his summer debut and if he keeps playing with great hustle like he did against the Cavs, a look in the NBA won't be out of the question.
Areas for Improvement: Kenny struggled with his jumpshot, only shooting 25 percent from the field. A large portion of this came down to shot selection and possibly being out of his range. Along with this, he needs to understand what his role is. He looked confused at times as his movements without the ball were a bit strange.

Yes it is.

Though you pretty much shut me up,when i saw these rebounds, are there any known names in your summer squad?
Axelgomez13 wrote:You had a pretty good first game, and a nice start to your career. You had the rebounding numbers of a PF at only 6'5', wow!

Uhh, Thierry, do you know some tools that can edit the roster for the my player mode? Like editing the accessories?
Yes it is.
Celtics lose close game; Young continues to show promise
The Boston Celtics narrowly lost their second game of the summer league to the Milwaukee Bucks by 54-52. Kenny Young only managed to score 6 points, but he managed to once again impress on the boards by grabbing 5 rebounds in 13 minutes. Along with that, he also dished off 3 dimes to impress both the Celtics and the Bucks. If Kenny doesn't receive an invitation to the Celtics training camp, the Bucks might have seen enough to warrant an invitation for Young to their camp.
Areas for improvement: Kenny Young once again shot poorly with 3 for 8 from the field. While this is slightly improved from his last outing, an offensive game needs to be developed if he's going to be anymore than a bit player in the NBA. While he is good at finding team mates with passes, he needs to move better without the ball as well. Getting into the correct positions on the floor is vital to his improvement.

Young fails to impress with start
The Celtics copped a hefty loss at the hand of the Charlotte Bobcats, with the final score being 57-45. While Kenny Young once again picked up 5 rebounds, he looked out of his depth in the starting role. For the first time this summer, his size was exploited by the opposition. The fact that he's an undersized forward was going to be an issue at some point, so it's lucky that it's shown up now instead of in the big time.
Areas for improvement: Shot an awful percentage of 12.5 percent... if he's going to continue to have 8-10 shots a game, he's going to have to get a better shooting stroke on him or take shots within his range. Also, his opponent was allowed to have his way with him in the post. At 6'5, Young was always going to be small for the positions he plays and this was a liability at times. Basically, he needs to get stronger if he's going to compete with the big boys.

Size proves to be an issue again for Young
The Celtics have had a heavy defeat once again, this time to the Miami Heat to the tune of 58-44. Kenny Young would face his hardest matchup yet: former number 2 overall pick Michael Beasley. Beasley bullied Young at times, scoring 13 points on him all up. It was an unhappy game for Young all round, however, he did manage to get 4 assists in his 16 minutes.
Areas for improvement: Kenny Young was 1 for 7 from the field, once again shooting an extremely poor percentage. I think during this summer camp, he's proven that he's not cut out to be a scorer, but more a distributor. On that side of the coin though, he also turned the ball over 4 times, which is far too much in the game time he had. He must improve tremendously on this game if he wants to make it in the big time.

Another poor performance by Young in loss
Kenny Young's NBA dream might be even further away after a poor performance in his team's 53-46 loss to Memphis. Despite grabbing 4 boards and dishing 5 dimes, the issue once again was his shot selection. Young went 3 for 11 from the field, while matchup Sam Young went 10-14 to get 21 points. Kenny wasn't on Sam the whole night, but he was a contributing factor to Sam's good game overall.
Areas for improvement: Defensively, Kenny Young was a liability once again. He was unable to stop Sam Young or Darrell Arthur for any extended amounts of time. Perhaps a positional move might be in order? To make things worse, his shot selection was once again poor... and the broken record continues.

Scouting report: Kenny Young had a solid game without being spectacular... it almost seems like the guy's slogan. He was close to getting a double-double with 8 points and 8 assists... and 4 rebounds is a nice effort as well. But 4 turnovers is a stat that he doesn't want. He had a tendency to hold onto the ball too long at times, often starving young prospect Brandon Jennings of the ball. Overall, a decent start to his campaign.
Teammate Grade: C
Scouting report: Game two was a tough game for Kenny. He once again had 4 turnovers, only this time, he had only 3 assists to go with it. He also didn't manage to trouble the scoreboard at all, which is bad considering he played all the minutes of the game (albeit, only 20 of them). With any luck, he won't be cut directly after this performance... but if he was, it wouldn't be surprising.
Teammate Grade: D+
Scouting Report: Young put in another forgettable performance. He managed to get 6 rebounds, but once again he had 4 turnovers with only 3 assists. As well as this, he shot 1 for 7 from the field which is awful and he had only 33.3 percent from free throw range. This guy is not shaping up to be an offensive player whatsoever, and the sooner he realises this, the sooner his game can improve.
