The Start

NewCharlotteBobcatsalternatelogo.gif

This is the start. The start of a new dawn. The start of a new beginning. The start of a new team. The Charlotte Bobcats. After being bought by Micheal Jordan, the team seems ready to give its new owner the best team it has had. I have started this Franchise already, and I'm 4-3. I'll give you recaps. I don't have pics though, and probably won't take pictures until the playoffs (If I reach them) because my NBA Live 10 on Xbox has Lazer Burn. Google it. Anyway, it always messes up when I'm hooked up to XBL, so I probably won't do it till then. Here is my roster currently:
Center: Tyson Chandler
Power Forward: Boris Diaw

Small Forward: Gerald Wallace
Shooting Guard: DJ Augustin
Point Guard: Baron Davis

Here is the recap of my first game
CHARLOTTE LOSES FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON AT THE CELTICS 84-96!
Boston, Mass
The first game of the season wasn't the greatest. Especially against the Celtics.
With everyone in the flow for the Celtics, they rushed on with a 96-84 win over the Bobcats. "We felt like if we shut down Gerald [Wallace] that we had a chance. And we did that." said Doc Rivers.
Wallace only had 12 points and 11 rebounds. The game leading 32 points by Boris Diaw was pretty much all the offense for the Bobcats. The second highest scorer for them was DJ Augustin with 15 points, who also had 15 assists. "It's really frustrating when you come off an amazing season, being the 20 point per game guy, and only have 12 points. This game is going to be stored away in my memory for a while." said Wallace.
The Bobcats poor offense wasn't just to blame for the loss. The Celtics had 5 guys in double figures, who include Pierce, Rasheed Wallace, Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo, and Ray Allen. Rondo also had 15 assists. "We did eveything we could to score on those guys when we had the chance. I mean me and Rasheed [Wallace] had 31 rebounds together. We just grabbed the boards." said Kevin Garnett.
The Bobcats were struggling the whole game, down by 20 at one point in the game. They started a comeback, were at one time, only down by 10, but the Celtics overpowered them. The thing that surprised Charlotte the most, was the lack of scoring by others. Larry Brown called out others, saying this may be the last for some players, "You better watch out, we need a secondary scorer, so watch out.
Of course, no one on the Charlotte bench took this as a joke. They know that the old man never lies.
Bobcats current record: 0-1
Home Record: 0-0
Road Record: 0-1

BREAKING NEWS! CHARLOTTE SIGNS ALLEN IVERSON, THEN TRADES HIM TO LA FOR BARON DAVIS
Charlotte, NC
images (10).jpg

The Bobcats had pulled the trigger on a blockbuster trade.
Chris Brussard of ESPN has expected a deal like this to go through after Charlotte had mysteriously signed 'The Answer'. "They'll probably trade him to a team for a secondary scorer." Baron Davis was "excited" to join the Bobcats. A.I on the other hand was upset that the Bobcats used him as trade bait, even though Micheal Jordan had told him that he was going to be traded, "That's messed up man. Stupid." he said to the media. Larry Brown praised the move, saying that Baron is an unbelievable competitor and will help this Charlotte team make the playoffs. Will we see tempers fly when these two teams face off?

Nice start but a little rough, you have now Felton,Davis and Augustin. Any other trades in mind?

Well, Augustin is now my Shooting Guard, but Felton hasn't been productive. I did a trade block, and Detroit offered me Rip Hamilton for him and Mutombo, but it makes Augustin more of a bench presence, and I want to bring him up as a starter. That trade is like saying "GET ME FOOL." :cheeky: And in almost all of my dynasties, I take an hour to find trades that are good, and completely change the team. IDK if I should do this trade though.

Give Felton some time. He'll come through soon. I live in Charlotte I have watched him play. He is a great point, so don't trade him. Keep DJ Augustine if you want, I traded him and Raja Bell for Stephen Jackson and some random I don't care about (it worked out for me but I probably play a different way than most people. I would trade Davis for a bigger man like Chris Bosh or Dirk Nowitzki or slightly less. (Dirk worked for me when I've traded Baron Davis on Live 2003 with update rosters.) Don't get me wrong, Davis is a beast, but Charlotte needs a really good power forward. (And trade anybody you can for Jason Richardson: he is beastlier in video games than anybody else!!!!)

You can take screenshots in Instant Replay with the L3 button. From there you can then upload them to EA Sports World, where you can retrieve them and upload them to Image Shack (or attach them here in the Forum) after cropping them or editing them in some other way if you wish.

Yea the quality of the works is a bit weird but you can fix it. I like the signing of B-Diddy but you seem stacked at the PG spot though. I'd move somebody there is too much quality guards.

Okay, I am really pissed off right now. My lazer burned game just acted up on me when I was up 86-75 against Portland, the 8-2 team in my game. Let's say, I won't be posting another game until later on today or tomorrow.

Big Time Trade

Postby Houndy on Sun May 30, 2010 12:48 am

BOBCATS TRADE FELTON FOR LAST YEAR'S NUMBER ONE PICK
The Bobcats had too much Point Guards at their fingertips. Baron Davis is unbelievable. DJ Augustin is growing fast. Raymond Felton has fallen. The former first round pick by the Bobcats has been traded to the Los Angeles Clippers for Blake Griffin, the rising rookie. Coach Larry Brown says the trade adds more weapons. With the teams making two trades with eachother, what will we expect in their matchups?

Nice trade; when it comes to the Bobcats, I've always been a firm believer that Augustin is the future over Felton. I also agree with megarover in that you ripped off the Clippers but hey, they're a team that used the number pick to get the Kandi man a few years ago, so I wouldn't put it past them to make a bad trade

 The Clippers are easy trade bait, I mean all I traded for Baron was pretty much A.I. because the other two players have barely played. I stole Baron from them. In the next game summary I'm doing, (I'm getting an XBL Gold Membership today) Griffin scores 18 :D

Charlotte Claws Portland by 40

Postby Houndy on Mon May 31, 2010 7:38 am

(4-4)CHARLOTTE 105-65 PORTLAND(8-2)

Image
And One!
Charlotte 22 24 27 32
Portland 25 14 13 13

After being brutally beat by Detroit, Charlotte bounced back with a 40 point win over the 8-2 Trail Blazers. Shutting down Brandon Roy contributed to the Blazers' low scoring with Roy only scoring 3 points. He was in foul trouble for the whole game. The only support for Portland was Lamarcus Aldridge, who had 25 points and 8 rebounds. Travis Outlaw also had 14 points to support Portland. But it was Charlotte, who had everyone in the groove. Baron Davis had 28 points, 12 assists, and 7 rebounds, his highest point total for the Bobcats this season. Gerald Wallace had 23 points. But it was recently acquired power forward Blake Griffin who put on a show, coming off the bench. He had 18 points and 9 rebounds. The next game for the Bobcats will be against the top team in their division, the Orlando Magic. Will they beat up the Magic as they did the last meeting?

Well, I'm planning on putting Griffin as the center, because Boris always has a great game then a crappy game.
