Zen Master is Back!

After coaching the Los Angeles Lakers for 5 consecutive seasons and guiding them through 3 straight championships, the Chicago Bulls proudly announced yesterday in a press conference that Phil Jackson is back in the Windy City. Phil signed a 3 year contract with the Bulls and looking forward to bring another championship back in Chicago. Working alongside Phil is his longtime sidekick, Tex Winter, who also signed a 1 year contract with the Bulls.

Always good to see a new face here in the Dynasty section, good luck. :) Which rosters are you using?

It's great to have my first reply from the Legendary Andrew himself! I'll be using the default roster which includes: Curry, Chandler, Deng, Gordon, and Hinrich. :D I already planned and prepared the database (using DBCommander) so I can acquire the final roster by the start of 09-10 season. The quest for 4-peat Bulls begins now! :D

Chicago, IL - Coach Phil and assistant coach Judah Fortson are very optimistic about Luol Deng's game. "He's working really hard on improving his defense and showing us some glimpse of how Pippen was in his formative years. " "I hope he continues the hard work and try to be consistent at all times." - Phil Jackson

Chicago, IL - The Chicago Bulls made their first trade of the season since Phil Jackson became head coach. The journeyman, Othella Harrington, was traded to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for promising shooting guard, Kevin Martin. He is known for his knack for scoring, deceptive quickness and unorthodox style of shooting. Phil approved the trade and said that he'll be happy to develop Kevin Martin's game.

I see you've simulated a fair few games there. Nice deal getting Martin for Harrington.

Yeah. Thanks! The good thing is he's in contract for 3 years for only a million dollars. Still a lot of cap space for this year's free agency.

New Orleans, LA 02/01/06- It was a great battle between two of the emerging floor generals in the NBA. Hinrich and Paul showed that they are the future of their respective franchises by showcasing their exemplary passing skills and clutch shooting. It was a tightly contested game. The Bulls led with a slim margin of 49-45 in the 1st half. Kevin Martin, recently acquired from Sacramento, had a terrible shooting night with only 5 of 15 from the field but made up for it by hustling on defense and getting a couple of passes. Chandler and Curry both contributed solid play for the Bulls but was outplayed by the front court of the Hornets consisting of Magloire and West in the 4th quarter. The Bulls lead as much as 7 points late in the 4th quarter but was not able to pull away from the Hornets. In the final 2 minutes of the game with the Bulls leading 92-90, Paul fired a pull-up three in transition that gave his team a one point lead. The Bulls were not able to answer back and the New Orleans Hornets prevailed with a 99-94 win. Paul finished with 31 points, 11 assists, and 2 steals. Despite the loss, Phil Jackson is still content with his team's play. "They need that loss to grow." "We're a young team and we still have a lot of hard work to do." "I think we're improving in applying the triangle but we just fell short in the 4th quarter." "We'll come back next game." - Phil

Curry is playing extremely well. I was expecting Gordon to be your leading scorer.

Also nice deal, if i remember those rosters, Martin is rated something like ~70?

nice to see another retro '06 dynasty taking off (Y) agree w/Martti - Curry's looking absolutely beastly atm!

@Martti: His rating is 62 when I acquired him. Need to do a lot of practice session to improve his ball handling skills. :D

@Clutch: Yeah! He's one mean 7 footer together with Chandler. :D I always loved the simplicity of Live 06.

It was a disappointing 7 game western road trip for the Bulls after smothering the Dallas Mavericks in the first game. The Bulls lost a tightly contested game against the Hornets followed by a win against the Phoenix Suns and then four straight losses against the Jazz, Nuggets, Kings, and the Clippers. They are now 33-20 heading to the All Star Break.

Great dynasty, i love the fact that you post the coaching results, Martin at 62? Now he's 70? Were you training him? Its something how most of these players don't play for the bulls now, and wow Phil Jackson as the head coach.

Can't believe I'm saying these words, but Curry is just a beast.

Indeed. Only in a video game can we expect to see Curry average 20 and 10.

:D He's still 62 by the way. I'm still at awe why he has poor ball handling skills and quite slow in the game. Oh well. I'll be posting updates later. Did a lot of print screen last night. hehe. Thank you all for following this dynasty!
