Hi Forumates!
It's been a while since not only I've posted a dynasty but also since I've even played NBA Live. With the upcoming big off-season, I wanted to start a 2011 dynasty and intend to post it up here but I am uncertain as to what team to follow through with. I've done a few off-seasons with a few teams with cap room but cannot settle on which dynasty to pursue. Though none of the dynasties saw one of the mega-stars swap jerseys, the teams I've assembled aren't too poor and look like they could be fun to play with. Without further ado, here are the teams, how they were assembled and whichever option receives the most votes (or first to an arbitrary number I choose) will become my new focus and hopefully your next way of spending down time.
The 2011 Washington Wizards
C Al Jefferson 81 (acquired with SG James Reid for PG Gilbert Arenas from Min)
PF Carlos Boozer 84 (signed for 56.72 over 5 years)
SF Josh Howard 87
SG J.J. Redick 69 (signed for 5.07 for 3 years)
PG Jordan Farmar 73 (signed for 16.90 for 3 years mid-level exception)
SF Al Thornton 78
PF Andray Blatche 74
SG Nick Young 70
C Hilton Armstrong 69 (signed for 4.76 over 3 years)
C JaVale McGee 67
C Ayzize Mbongo 66 (drafted 21st overall)
SG James Reid 64 (drafted 31st overall by MIN; traded with C Al Jefferson for PG Gilbert Arenas)
PG Travis Diener 62 (signed for 865K for 1 year minimum)
C P.J. Ellis 61 (drafted 51st overall)
Notes: I've played a few games and the results, and how they have been obtained, have been exceptionally surprising. Could be interesting...
2011 Oklahoma City Thunder
C Nenad Krstic 71
PF Jeff Green 80
SF Kevin Durant 85
SG James Harden 76
PG Russell Westbrook 80
PF Nick Collison 73
PF Marty Lynch 73 (drafted 6th overall)
SF Linas Kleiza 71 (signed for 22.30 over 5 years)
SG Kyle Weaver 70
C Johan Petro 67 (signed for 5.51 over 3 years)
PF D.J. White 66
SG Waldo Moya 66 (drafted 35th overall)
PG Eric Maynor 65
PF Serge Ibaka 63
C B.J. Mullens 61
Notes: I've still about 6-8 M of cap space so the project will be to keep this team successful while staying exceptionally close to the cap, if not under it. The team admittedly has not changed much but it has a couple of interesting additions Kleiza and the second round pick Moya who could prove to be the superior pick of the two.
2011 Miami Heat
C Brad Miller 78 (S & T for PF Udonis Haslem from CHI)
PF LaMarcus Aldridge 81 (signed for 47.84 over 5 years)
SF Michael Beasley 83 (switched to SF to accomodate Aldridge)
SG Dwayne Wade (re-signed for 98.91 over 6 years)
PG Mario Chalmers 76
SF Travis Outlaw 74 (signed for 33.36 over 5 years)
SG Daequan Cook 73
C Brendan Haywood 72 (signed for 30.14 over 5 years)
PF Joey Dorsey 71 (S & T for C Joel Anthony)
SF James Jones 70
PG Jacob Phillips 66 (drafted 21st overall)
PG Travis Ullrich 61 (undrafted; signed 412K for 1 year)
C Lukas Lefevre 60 (drafted 51st overall)
Notes: another fun dynasty to play with the possibility of having very distinct approaches depending on who's on the floor. As a result the bench has been very interesting to play with. Also, the rookies are terrible, so it might be interesting to see what happens should Chalmers go down to injury.
So there you have it: three 2011 dynasties. Which one would you like to see?
