No injuries

Goals
Put another superstar around Brandon Roy
Turn Bayless into a playmaker
Get a great shooting and dunking small forward, Kevin Durant/Rudy Gay type of player in an upcoming rookie draft

Gm:I'm going to build this team through trades and rookie drafts, i'm going to save my team's salary for next year's big free agency market. I have a 4 year plan to bring this team a championship in 4 years, and win at least 45 games a season.

After a decent start the trailblazers are leading their division, so as at this moment the gm of the trailblazers has no plan to make any trades or sign any players.

Espn news from around the league
There were two trades and a player signings by other teams in the nba.

Mavericks trade Wafer to bobcats for Ratliff
Kings sign Ilgauskas
Heat trade Jones to Raptors for Evans

The kings were looking to add a center since they're relatively weak at that position, Zydrunas will be a nice starter for the team; this year's draft is weak, so we'll only draft one rookie this year. Either a center or small forward, I think we'll draft a center since Marcus Camby is aging and will be a free agent soon.

Oh no, not the rookie Evans, I don't know his first name but isn't it Reggie Evans? But lol, no, i'm sure it wasn't the rookie Evans because this is the first month of the first year. I think Evans though is a forward, am i right? I'm not too familiar with the raptors, but i know for sure it wasn't Tyreke, the initial before Evans name was different i just forgot what it was, i'll put the initials before the names from now on, so there will be no confusion. The forward Evans that i'm speaking of is the one that plays for the raptors.

Ah, my bad completely! Don't know why but I read Kings. Yeah, I assume it's Reggie Evans then.

Hope you can stay with the Blazers and not become me in the future with 30 dynasties started!

Yeah hopefully, i was just trying to find the right team, my cleveland and memphis dynasty didn't work out to well, i just didn't want to do those teams, even though there are plenty of trade options with cleveland and memphis is a nice young team that you can build, but i'm really into this team, besides cleveland and chicago, portland is my last favorite team.

Trailblazers trade 3 players for G.Davis of the celtics
Nets trade B.Lopez to Wolves for J.Flynn
Wolves trade 1st round pick to Nets for C.Quinn
Mavericks trade M.Carroll for Nuggets C.Anderson
Celtics trade R.Wallace for Suns L.Barbosa
Trailblazers trade 2nd round pick and G.Davis to 76ers for W.Green and 1st round pick
Nuggets trade C.Billups for G.Wallace of the Bobcats
Wolves trade A.Jefferson to Clippers for B.Davis
______________________________
The allstar committe has selected portland trailblazer player Brandon Roy to play in this years allstar game!

The portland trailblazers are 32-27 on the year and are on fire so far, we have two 1st round draft picks, but in a weak draft, hopefully we'll have some nice rookies. I want to get a center to backup Greg Oden in the future, when Camby leaves the team. And i also want a better backup power forward which we might draft in this years rookie draft. Blayless and Batum have improved a lot after training sessions, it won't be that long if i keep working on Bayless's offensive skills til he becomes a playmaker, he's very close.

Player awards
Coach of the year-Doc Rivers
Mvp-Dirk Nowitzki
Most improved-Kevin Durant
Defensive player-Tim Duncan
Rookie of the year-Blake Griffin
6th man of the year-Chris Wilcox

Rookie draft
With the first pick of the 2006 nba draft, the portland trailblazers select M.Stan, a 6'11 260 pound center from the university of Oklahoma!

Commentator1-This guy is a nice pick by the blazers.
Commentator2-Yeah, He's a clutch shooter and great shot blocker.
_______________
Still in the first round

With their 2nd pick in the first round of the 2006 nba draft, the portland trailblazers select K.Baker, a 6'9 216 pound power forward from ucla.

Commentator1:Wow, i love this guy he has a lot of room to develope, but he's too lean for his position, he should be a small forward.
Commentator2:Yeah, you're right, but there are some good things about him.
Commentator1:That's true, he loves to dunk and he is fast, the trailblazers want to run and gun as much as possible and keep the pace of the game fast, and this guy fits their team perfectly.
Commentator-True, but look for the blazers to change his starting position to small forward, he'd be great playing at the 3.
________________________________
Offseason transactions
We have signed power forward Tony Gaffney
We have signed center Hanad Haddadie
Trailblazers trade R.Fernandez and J.Pryzbilla to Utah for M.Okur
________________________________________________________
Key loss was Rudy Fernandez, but at least we were able to resign Brandon Roy and Lamarcus Aldridge, and they will continue to improve through coaching sessions. We were 20 million under the cap this offseason before we resigned Roy and Aldridge, we would've liked to have saved that money but we would have had no shooting gaurd, yes we have Willie green but he's no Brandon Roy! We probably should have released Lamarcus Aldridge and we would still have been under the cap. We released Marcus Camby because he wanted way too much money, and we don't ever plan on paying someone that age any time soon that much money, he's a good player, great defensive player, but we have our own agendas, we're about to start the beggining of the 07 season where players like Lebron and Wade will be free agents, although we don't expect to have the money to sign players like those, maybe we'll sign someone though.

I traded away almost the entire team, during the season i added Steve Nash to the roster in a Greg Oden trade, which involved Oden and two other players talented young players, to the suns for Steve Nash and a 1st round draft pick. So in year two we had 2 1st round draft picks in a strong draft. Brandon Roy made the allstar team again, and we made the playoffs as a #7 seed with a 41-41 win loss record. The spurs beat the cavs to win the nba championship.

Team awards
Coach of the year-Phil Jackson
Mvp-Rashard Lewis, had an amazing year averaging 29 points a game for orlando
Most improved-Andrew Bogut
Defensive player of the year-Tim Duncan
Rookie of the year-P.J. Neuman is a rookie for the milwaukee bucks
___________________________________
Offseason
Eric Dampier is our only center at the time and our only free agent, we released this player but then signed him after we signed several other players.

Drafted rookies with two 1st round picks
7'1 234 pound center I. Menendez
23 years old
Vertical is above average for an nba player
Able to play a lot of minutes
Shoots the ball well
rating is 70
_____________
6'7 193 pound small forward C.West
20 years old
needs to hit the weights to incerase his vertical
great conditioning
might launch an air ball from the free throw line
university of michigan
_______________________--
This is the summer where Lebron and Dwade are free agents
Trailblazers signed center Jason Smith to the mid-level exception for 5 years, philedelphia couldn't resign him for some reason.
We also got Eric Dampier back
We signed some insignificant players with low 60's ratings but decent individual ratings that i wanted, like midrange shooting and shot blocking.

Trades
________
Portland trailblazers traded Randy Foye to the Sacramento Kings for center Steven Howes

As you can see we have former cavalier Mo Williams, two young centers and a veteran, three young small forwards, two young power forwards though, Aldridge has playoff experience. All that we really need this year is a great backup shooting gaurd to help Brandon roy; its yeasr three and i'm just about satisfied with this team, there's plenty of room for development, as far as trades, i'm not sure if i'll do any this year.

The gm of the trailblazers has hired some new staff members.

Assistant head coach

Trainer

Coach Nate McMillan wanted to be a run and gun offense this year in order to keep up with the other teams in the conference, but at training camp we only focused on defense.

The gm of the trailblazers felt the need to get a decent backup shooting gaurd in order to give Brandon roy some rest, so he won't stay in the entire game, so the gm went and signed shooting gaurd Ricky Kearly.

Image

As you can see this team needs a lot more experienced players at a few positions, mainly small forward, the starters and backups, although Martell Webster is really progressing, the last time which was in the offseason that i checked his ratings, his overall was 77, his midrange and three point shot are close to 80, he has great offensive ratings. The main players that i'll be deceloping this year are my centers, Steven Howes and Jason Smith, I want to see them progress defensively, i want to increase their blocking and offensive and defensive rebounding skills plus i want them to be very athletic, i want to improve their speed, jumping and stamina a lot this year. Next year i plan on getting at least two assitants, my assistant head coach only has one year with this team, and he's very expensive, so by getting a bad assistant head coach, i should have enough money for another assistant, i want my players to develope faster.

Nate McMillan wants either a shooting gaurd or a point gaurd in this years draft with the 1st pick. Steve Nash is a free agent but coach McMillan isn't sure on whether or not he'll resign the great veteran who is playing very well this year averaging around 20 points a game; we have 3 free agents this year, including Tony Gaffney and some player whom we don't care about resigning.

Image

In order to boost the bench, coach McMillan felt the need to make a trade for a better backup power forward, especially just in case Gaffney doesn't want to resign. So we sent Jason Smith to atlanta for Forward Marvin Williams.

NM:Marvin Williams is a great shooter and can still develope, he'll get plenty of playing time off the bench.

Image

Coach McMillan wanted to improve Steven Howes's midrange shot, so Steve Nash can have an additional player besides Lamarcus Aldridge to score inside. Brandon Roy and Steve Nash are our main scorers, our big three are Steve Nash, Brandon Roy and Lamarcus Aldridge.

Image

We are having a decent year so far in the northwest division, being right behind the nuggets. We are in a tight race with denver, but not just denver but, utah and minnesota aren't that far behind us.

We need a lot of work on defense because the only defensive stopper we have is Lamarcus Aldridge, so we're going to have to get more assistants this offseason again, fortunately our expensive assistant head coach will be leaving us this year. We might resign Steve Nash in a sign and trade deal, hopefully we can resign Tony Gaffney and trade Nash along with Gaffney for maybe a small forward or something, i'd rather not draft a small forward this year, but if we have enough cap space we might sign a small forward in the offseason, hopefully Nash won't retire.

I think you're right, i think i'll keep him until the end of his career because he's averaging around 20 pounds a game, and in a game against the suns he got almost 30 pounds and several assists, Nash and Roy are playing well together.

Thanks, i love Steve Nash on this team, and at one time i even had Jose Calderon. I just needed a veteran leader.
