WEEK 1 REVIEWAfter first three games, Bulls have only one win.
Bulls started their season on home court against San Antonio on Thursday. Spurs took control of the game early and led by 22 midway thru third quarter. Spurs finished the game up by 17, 107-90.
Parker,
Ginobili and
Duncan led Spurs team in scoring. Parker had 32, Duncan 23 and 13 boards while Ginobili added 20 points.
Rose led Bulls with 23 points and 6 assists but couldn't handle Parker defensively.
Luol Deng had 14,
Warrick added 13.
Celtics, were the second opponent for the Bulls. It was a close game in the first half but after the half Celtics pulled away and won the game 21 points, 107-86. Celtics had 7 players in double digits, led by
Pierce (23) and newly aquired
Nate Robinson (15).
Rajon Rondo had 13 points and assists. Bulls were once again led by Derrick Rose who achieved 14 assists and 20 points.
Hinrich, Deng and Warrick scored 13 points each.
Bulls first win came on Sunday against
Dwayne Wade and his Miami Heat. Bulls were up by one with 5 seconds left, after Deng made 2 free throws. Wade, who scored 32 points took a jumper but the ball bounced off the rim and Bulls won first game of the season, thanks to Rose (26) and Warrick who scored 21.
Beasley provided most help to Wade scoring 14 points and adding 6 rebounds. Chicago Bulls are now 1-2 in the start of this season.
“ It was not easy for us. We are still coming together. I'm happy we pulled a win out of the game with Heat. We'll try to build on this one. ” said Del Negro. “ I'm delighted with Derrick, he really made a step forward with his game during the summer. ”
Rose is the best player right now scoring 23 ppg and adding 9,3 assists. Bulls take on Bucks, Cavaliers and Bobcats next week.
