Sweet so I finally managed to get this underway, the hardest part for me always seems to be coming up with a design idea for the banners etc. Im still not entirely happy with these but they will do for now.
Keep tabs on this post as I will continue to add important information to it such as Prediciton Leaderboard etc. I hope to get through multiple seasons in this so I was pretty close to just going 29 games once more,
but decided that I would sim more of the games which should add an extra dimension to the association for me.
Updates should begin soon enough, I had played the first month and was just going to update all of it at once but decided I would start again and try to focus on not playing too far ahead of my updates.
Anyway hopefully you enjoy following..... post away.

Good to see this getting underway. Banners are alright (obviously they are without a doubt high quality as expected) but I see what you mean, it probably just doesn't quite fit as well as your Pistons' one did. I wouldn't worry about it though, if inspiration comes then you can change them later.

I think if you haven't already deleted it, then please start a month into the season (we're about 7 weeks into real life season anyways). Do a quick summary of first month, then continue as planned. Just my opinion though. I think dynasty should revolve around your progress, not the other way around. If you get ahead, then just drop in month/fortnight etc catchup recap.

Anyways, good luck & hope to see this one rolling. If you have NLSC prospects then I'm definitely keen, although given my age you could just drop me in the D-League somewhere

Yeah exactly, I was taking too long on it so I just went with what I had, there were other better ideas but they were just getting complicated. The recapping stuff is what I want to be happy with as thats what ill be using often.

Yeah I do still have it, and it is tempting to just roll with that one. The thing is that a lot of those games were me just playing to get the sliders correct, so there were some massive blow outs and high scoring games. Ill take a look at it again, but I think it would be more enjoyable and a lot easier for me to just start again.

Thats a great idea actually, I may make that an option for us older folks (Although at 23 I could just say I was red-shirted) but yeah perhaps that can be another path for my "NLSC to the League" section.

Hey, nice that your getting it underway! Looking forward to this one. The banners are sweet, I know this problem, sometimes it just does not fit in your mind. I had problems when I started my Cats one ... I think my best banners were for the Hawks and Clippers, a quality that I could never reach again. Well, your's looking well nevertheless.

I think starting with a month played would be a good idea, if you do not care too much about your blowouts etc. As X said, with the real season being into the 2nd month it would be better to try to keep up with that.

Anyways, good luck, I know I will like following this one!

I actually meant more as a starting point. I'm hoping that Mark, as he has previously stated, is going to get through at least a few seasons so we need him to bolt ahead from real life schedule :P

Sweet I'll be following this one. Putting the older guys in the D-League could actually be pretty cool, it would make it more realistic anyway.

I like your banners too, they're nice and simple.

Nice roster layout. Bass is pretty low on the depth chart considering his salary. Considering dealing him?

Very sweet layout and animation! Lovin it. As Lamrock said, Bass is a bit down. You seem to like the stretch-four type of player over the worker downlow. Actually that's understandable since you have D-How doing his thing under the basket. Let me see, guys I like to play with are Jason Williams, Rashard Lewis and Dwight Howard. All the others are not to my taste of playing style. But that's just me.
All in all you're heading to the Eastern Finals at least I hope. But I also have to say this is a team which is not too young, it would also be fun to deal Carter or Nelson for a decent first round pick to complement Howard with a nice rookie.

Just playing around a bit. Anyways, good luck! (Y)

Cheers guys. Well the depth chart can be a bit miss leading, Anderson and Bass should probably get about the same burn, Anderson is a direct replacement for Shard while Bass is a bit more situational for when I need another banger/enforcer to play beside Dwight. No plans on dealing Bass yet, only person who may get dealt is Gortat whose contract is far too high for the amount of mins he will get. But im a bit of a fan IRL so I will only deal if its good.

Yeah I like to stretch the floor (actually anyone know how to make you team play four out by defualt each time down the floor?) But yeah I go with 2 post players quite a lot depending on who im facing. Yeah im aiming for the finals again really, should be able to do it. Don't think ill be dealing Jameer, im hoping he will regain his all-star form. Carter could be moved, but he is still very talented and has carried the team in a few games. Im not too worried about the future just now as with Dwight I will always have a solid set up. Anderson is deffinately going to hang around too as he is a ready made replacement for when Shard gets old or moves on.

Alright so before I post the first weekly preview I will quickly go over the format for the prediction challenge this time round.
I will be using the points earned to determine which NLSCers make each years draft as well as allowing readers "Power Points" which can affect their players attributes or situations.
Like in my Pistons Dynasty it will simply be just predicting the record the team will have over the coming week.
However this time I will allow bonus points for correctly predicting results of specific games. If you guess correctly you will earn 5 bonus points but if you are incorrect you will be deducted 3 points.
Correctly guessing the record for the week will earn you 20 points while being one result off will earn you 10 points. I will add a 5 point bonus for each week you participate in to try stop people from going into negatives too quickly.

Anyway I will be posting a leaderboard in the first post in the coming weeks as well as a simplified rundown of the scoring system.

For now here is how the points will work:

 5 Points for each week participated in.
 20 Points for guessing the correct record for the week.
 10 points for being 1 result away from the record (ie you guess 5-1 but I got 4-2).
 5 points for each game result guessed correctly (Note this is optional, I reccomend only guessing if you are confident in the result)
 3 points deducted for each game result guessed incorrectly (Once again note that this is optional)

I will provide an example of how to play in the week 1 example.

Welcome to the second weekly preview. These will be kept short, their main purpose is to let you know which games will be played and simmed.
They will also help readers who are invloved in the "From the NLSC to the League" feature to get a look at who I am playing to aide in their predicitions.

Week Two Games:
Image
Note: Games highlighted in blue will be played games.

The Magic started their season with an easy first week of games in which they went an impressive 6-0, including some outstanding performances, although mainly against weaker opponents.
Week 2 brings the Magic much of the same, a two game road swing to start the week against the Durant led Thunder and the Bobcats could provide a small challenge however it is the third game of the week that all eyes will be upon.
The Cavs-Magic matchup is turning into somewhat of a spectacle these days especially after Cleveland were embarassed by Orlando in last years Eastern Conference Finals.
Expect to see a hard fought game as LeBron and the Cavs try to get revenge. This game could go either way and it will be interesting to see how the Shaq vs Dwight matchup goes.
The last game of the week sees the Magic play host to a young Nets team and the return of Courtney Lee to Orlando. This will also be the first time Vince Carter will face the team he led for the last 4 and a bit seasons.

Example of Making Predicitions:

Mark. wrote:There are 6 games in Week 1 so "Player A" decides to predict a 5-1 record for the week. "Player A" also decides that they are confident that I will beat the Nets but I will lose to the Suns.
"Player A" will there for make a guess of "5-1, Wins over: Nets, Loses to: Suns."
This will give "Player A" a maximum possible points total of 35 (20 for correct record, 5 for participating, 5 for each result guess correctly)
or a minimum possible of -1 (5 for participation, -3 for each result guessed incorrectly)
Of course there are also different points total possibilities in between these two limits that "Player A" could receive.
