Quarter-by-Quarter

Suns : 24 - 10 - 18 - 29
Clippers : 14 - 24 - 22 - 8

Los Angeles,California.

Phoenix Suns opened their season in LA with win over the Clippers. The Suns started the game in nice way with a 8-1 and closed the first quarter with 24 to 14 lead. The Clippers started with Kaman,Camby,Griffin,Gordon and Davis. On paper this great team but the Clippers were struggling last year. The No.1 draft pick Blake Griffin will try to change things here.Second quarter started really niiiice for the Clipps as they made a 13-0 run to take the lead. The Suns only scored 10 points in this quarter and the first half finished with 4 point lead for LA,38 - 34.Marcus Camby had 13 points,7 rebounds and 3 blocks at the half and he was unstoppable.Big problem for Phoenix was Amar'e,he made 2 fouls in the first 2 minutes of the game and he was placed on the bench. He made two more in the second and Coach Gentry decided to continue playing with Frye and Lopez duo. That doesnt worked and the Clippers were outrebounding the Suns.
The third quarter was won by the Clipps again and they were smelling the first win of the season(they were 0-1,lost from Lakers). It was not interesting third quarter while the 4th was great.Steve Nash and J-Rich just outplayed LA,Nash scored 3 3-pointers in the last quarter for scoring 13 in this 9 minutes.Clippers were held to 8 points and the Suns scored 29 to secure their win 81 to 68.
Steve Nash won the player of the game award,he finished with 24 points,9 assists,2 rebounds,3 steals and surprisingly 3 blocks.Jason Richardson also scored 24 and he added 4 assists and 2 rebounds.Robin Lopez was the leading rebounder for the Suns with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks.Amar'e Stoudemire played only 8 minutes and he recorded 4 points and 3 rebounds.
Marcus Camby scored 17 points,13 rebounds and 4 blocks but that was not enough for his team.Rookie Blake Griffin added 18 points and 9 rebounds.Baron Davis was awful with only 6 points but 9 TO's.

If he has an acceptable 3-point shooting rating, you should start Frye

Quarter-by-Quarter

Warriors : 22 - 27 - 25 - 22 = 96
Suns : 22 - 18 - 26 - 24 = 90

Phoenix,Arizona.

Suns and Warriors presented a nice game for the people who watched that game.Really quick and dynamic play from the two teams. That day C.Frye was starting over Robin Lopez.Warriors went out with Biedrins,Wright,Maggette,Ellis and Curry. The game was a battle between the future and the past(if we can say Nash is past).Curry was so fired up for today's game and he was the reason for many people to watch. The rookie exploded for career-high 30 points + very clutch plays in the last minute and a half.Game started better for the Suns and they had the lead 22 to 18 just seconds before the end of the quarter, but Stromile Swift fouled Raja Bell who was shooting from the 3pt line and the former Sun went for 4pt play. The second quarter was an important moment in the game,in the last 2 minutes of it the Warriors made an 11-4 scoring run and they take the lead 49 to 40 at the half.Steve Nash and Co. were trying to catch them and they did it in the 3rd 3 minutes after the start of the quarter it was tied, but Curry scored 2 3-pointers to give back the lead.Amar'e Stoudemire was not in foul trouble and he scored 19 points but that wasnt enough. The end of the game was really dramatic with 2.12 left on the clock and 5 point lead for Golden State,Leandro Barbosa made a nice lay-up and then he stolen the ball.Amar'e was posting up and he assisted to Steve Nash who scored 3 points and tied the game. Then it came the moment of Steph Curry,he scored 8 of the points from the 10-4 scoring run in the last 1.40.
Despite the loss,Steve Nash earned the performer of the game award for second consecutive time.He finished with 21 points,8 rebounds and 7 assists. The bad is that he had 7 TO's which is not usual for him.Leandro Barbosa was nice from off the bench with 25 points. As we said Amar'e had 19.J-Rich was slowed down by his former team and he had only 8 points.
For the Warriors,Stephen Curry finished with 30 points,5 rebs and 2 assists.Maggette had 18 points.

What about Stromile Swift? I saw him on your bench and thought he could add a bit more salary to your Hill trade. Just a thought.

By the way, this dynasty looks good so far (Y)

I feel your pain with Curry's big game. I just played the Bucks and Jennings just kept spinning around me. Lucky for me his 33 points wasn't enough for the win.

Finally Grant is traded

31st Oct. 2009

After long discussions the Suns finally traded veteran small forward Grant Hill who was on the trading block the whole summer.Phoenix and Portland Traiblazers agreed on a deal which is sending the first overall draft pick from the 2007 NBA Draft - Greg Oden and Travis Outlaw who's playing on the SF position to the Suns in exchange of Grant Hill,Robin Lopez and a first-round draft pick from the 2010NBA Draft. The whole association cant explain itself what were the Blazers thinking with this trade after they made nice, young and ballanced team.
"I'm really happy to come here. The Suns are a nice team,we have Nash whos the best point guard right now and Amare and the other guys..we can battle for the championship" Greg Oden told the press. The two ex-Blazers will make their debut in the next game @ the U.S. Airways Arena against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Greg Oden is averaging 6.5ppg,9.5rpg and 3.0bpg so far this season, while Outlaw is scoring 8.5ppg,4.5rpg and 2.0apg

Blazers Trade Grade : C- Everyone is saying that this was awful move by the Blazers, they gave the Suns two of their best players and they receive "the f*cked up ankle" Grant Hill and Robin Lopez who cannot be a replacement of Oden. The good is that they receive the Suns draft pick and they will have another first-rounder.

Suns Trade Grade : A The Suns have one of the best starting line-ups right now in the NBA with Oden,Amar'e,Outlaw,J-Rich and Nash. The team looks amazingly good, now everyone should be scared from the Suns.

Phoenix,Arizona

Quarter-by-Quarter

Minnesota : 17 - 19 - 27 - 25 = 88
Phoenix : 34 - 27 - 24 - 29 = 114

The new looking Phoenix Suns made a nice show for their fans in the U.S. Airways Arena. They beat the Wolves 114 to 88.It was the run-and-gun Suns today. They were delivering the ball very good, they played a lot pick'n'rolls,a lot of screens and 28 fastbreak points.Phoenix took the lead early in the first, they went on a 14-2 scoring run to start the game and close the quarter 34 to 17.After the half it was clear to everyone that Phoenix couldnt lose this game. They led 61-36 at the half and Amar'e already had double-double.The newcomers in the team,Oden and Outlaw, made a nice impact.Travis Outlaw scored 8 of his 12 points in the first quater while Oden finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds.Amar'e finished with 15 points and 19 rebounds. The captain of the team,Steve Nash also made a double double with 16 points and 17 assists, but it seems like he's not in perfect shape,he made 9 TO's.He's averaging 7 turnovers per game and he's first in the league in tpg.Jason Richardson was the highscorer this game with 21 points,he also added 3 rebounds,3 assists and 3 steals.Aleksandar Pavlovic added 9 points from the bench.Leandro Barbosa scored 14 points.Channing Frye who was the starting center last game, played only 11 minutes but he scored 9 points,7 rebounds and 4 blocks.
The sophmore Kevin Love went for double double with 26 points and 10 rebounds.Al Jefferson also made a double double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. He's not having a good season so far.In two games he was averaging 2.0ppg and 4 rebounds. The former Suns player Quentin Richardson scored 18 points including 4 three pointers.
The Suns next games are against the Miami Heat,Orlando Magic,Boston Celtics,Philadelphia 76ers etc.

Yeah, a rip-off trade.. But the recaps look good. I'll keep my eye on it. As long as you don't do unrealistic trades anymore.

I can see Portland's reasoning... they get rid of a guy who's at the peak of his injuries for a guy whose well past his

But Travis Outlaw as well... he's actually a very underrated player I think. Good trade for you anyway... if the Lakers can get Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown + change IRL, your trade isn't that much of a ripoff.

And damn... Amare is a rebounding machine!
