I don't get why people don't just pick the team that intrigues them most. Also, what game/system are you using? I would personally take the Bulls, since they aren't currently being used by anyone, and aren't title contenders.

After the ring ceremony the team get's ready for their opening match.

The Lakers won their game opener against the Houston Rockets. A match that is really heavily favored the defending champs. The Houston Rockets played without Yao and Tmac, Aaron Brooks led the Rockets with 21 pts 5 ast and 3 stl while Trevor Ariza scored 10 pts in 5-6 shooting. In the 1st quarter battle the Rockets never look like they were the underdog, scoring 27 pts only behind by 2 pts against the Lakers. In the 2nd quarter the Lakers tighten up their defense as they lead the 1st half 60-47. 3rd quarter action Andrew Bynum was on fire scoring 10 of his 13 pts in the 3rd as the Lakers lead by as much as 22 pts. The Lakers finish the 3rd leading 88-66. In the 4th quarter the Lakers look to finish off the Rockets but they become too sloppy with the ball and cause 8 T.O the Rockets narrow the lead just to 9 pts. Bryant shoots a 3 pointer to stop the Rockets run. Kobe Bryant scored 8 pts in his way to the game high 38 pts. The Lakers won 90-102

The Lakers brings the lakeshow to the valley of the suns. 1st quarter was the Lamar Odom show as he scored 7 points dish out 3 assist but Leandro Barbosa steals the show with a buzzer beater to end the 1st quarter. Phoenix leads 24-23. 2nd quarter action the Suns look to carry the momentum in the 1st with a 7-0 run as the Suns showed great teamwork they lead going to half 49-44. Start of the 3rd quarter the Lakers turn to their defense to make a 15-0 run, the Suns shoots only 24.8% in the 3rd. The Lakers lead 79-65. In the 4th quarter the Lakers send their bench to finish the Suns but the Lakers cannot stop Steve Nash as he drilled all 5 of his 3 pointers in the 4th as they narrow the 88-92,the Lakers turn to their star player Kobe Bryant to finish the job as he scored the last 10 points of his team. Lakers won 102-93

At the start of the tip-off the Lakers went on fire from the arc shooting 6-8 3 of them with Kobe Bryant and 2 for Ron Artest. The Lakers lead 35-20. In the 2nd quarter the Jazz look to bounce back as they scored 30 points in the second quarter but L.A scored 33, The Lakers still leads 68-50. Start of the 3rd Kobe still onfire from the arc drilling 5 of his 10 3 pointers in the game, Bryant scored 47 points going to the 4th, L.A leads 96-77. At the 4th Kobe shoots his 10th 3 pointer and a foul to score his season high 51 points before heading to the bench. L.A never looked back as they 112-100.

The battle of undefeated the New Orleans Hornets visits the L.A Lakers. The start of the 1st quarter the Lakers struggle to score but Chris Paul got on fire early scoring 8 points in the 1st to lead the Hornets 23-21. 2nd quarter action the Lakers still struggle and commit 7 T.O to start the 10-0 run of the Hornets.New Orleans leads going to half 50-39. Start of the 3rd, L.A seems cant do anything to stop the Hornets as they have out scored in the 3rd 26-15. Hornet leads 76-54. In the 4th quarter L.A trying to make a comeback Bryant nailed 2 3 pointers and 2 more for Vujacic but the Hornets attack didn't stop Peja scored 12 points in the 4th to hand the Lakers its first lose of the season. Hornets won 98-76.

Tip-off win by L.A, Lakers trying to send a message early with an alley-oop dunk coutesy of Lamar and Andrew, from then L.A went to a 12-0 run as 7 different Laker scored in the 1st. L.A leads 32-23. 2nd quarter action Pavlovic start a 9-0 run by the Wolves 6 of them coming from him. The Lakers answered back drilling two quick 3 pointers courtesy of Vujacic, Lakers lead going to the half 63-50. Start of the 2nd half the Lakers continue their awesome teamwork, Odom,Artest and Fisher each scored 8 points in the 3rd, end of the 3rd 95-70 in favor of the Lakers. L.A rest their starting 5 going in to the 4th, Damien Wilkins scored 10 points in the 4th scoring the gamehigh 31 points. But the Lakers bench mob are doing pretty good as Vujacic scores 18 points coming off the bench. Lakers won 118-89

I like the 4 game recaps. One thing I'd recommend, for both the 4-game recaps and the normal ones is to cut your image size in half. Especially the boxscores though.

A battle of the top 2 teams in the West. The Dallas Mavericks visits the Lakers in LaLa land.
1st Quarter
Tip-off, Dallas win it but the Lakers showing great early defense as the Mavs cant find an open shot, Shot clock winding down Dampier fires a desperation 3 and it went in giving Dallas 3-0 lead. L.A answered back with a quick lay-up from Lamar. Dirk trying to post Odom, Dirk shoots but Kobe blocks him from behind to start a Lakers fastbreak, Fisher with the lay-up Lakers up 4-3.Midway in the 1st quarter, Kidd drives and denied by Bynum but there was a foul, Kidd miss both freethrow Lamar with the rebound throws a football pass to Kobe for an easy lay-up. Lakers with a 8-0 run. Lakers lead 23-18. Dallas setting up for the final shot in the 1st, Kidd drives kick-out pass to Dirk shoots the 3 pointer its good. Dallas end the 1st quarter but still behind to L.A. 23-19.

2nd Quarter
2nd quarter action, both team scoring 8 straight basket. Dirk shoots a fade-away in front of Lamar Mavs tie the ball game 38-38. Kobe looks to bring back the momentum to L.A shoots a 3 pointer but it miss Kidd with rebound, Mavs goes for a fast break Kidd pass it to Terry but the pass was broken by Artest. Phil calls for the time-out. Inbound by Dallas pass intercept by Fisher goes for the lay-up and a foul Fisher completed the 3 point play. L.A leads 53-50 with 2 minutes left in the quarter. Ross pass it to Dirk in the post but intercept by Bynum pass to Artest for the dunk. Lakers end the quarter with a 11-0 run. Lakers lead going to the half 61-50.

3rd Quarter
Dallas start with an alley-oop dunk with Kidd to Marion connection. Mavs look to run in the 3rd. Terry runs with the ball but denied by Odom, Artest with a 3 pointer coming from the pass of Kobe 1 of his 8 assist in the 3rd.Midway in the 3rd, Mavs looks to stop the Lakers run with a 3 pointer coming from Kidd, Mavs narrow the lead to just 5 points making it 62-67. Lamar pass the ball to Bynum in the post, Bynum with the hookshot its good Bynum showing some nice post moves. 1 minute left in the 3rd Artest intercept an inbound pass and then shoots a 3 pointer,Phil Jackson yelling at Artest because of the shot . End of the 3rd Lakers lead 83-71.

4th Quarter

Lakers trying to end it strong, Farmer nails a corner 3 to give L.A its biggest lead 87-73. Dirk answers with a foul counted 3 pointer, Dirk complete the 4 point play Mavs just 10 points behind 87-77. Bynum intercept again another pass 1 of his 4 steals of the game. Kobe with the quick pass to Brown for a tomahawk dunk. Kobe recorded his season high 16 assist in the game. As the Lakers never looked back as they win 106-96, L.A improve its record 5-1. Artest sit out the 4th quarter.
