2009-2010 Season Preview: The Toronto Raptors newer were a top team in the NBA, now as they acquired Hedo Turkoglu and drafted DeMar DeRozan in the 09 draft, they could go face to face with greater NBA teams. My journey with them will begin from the date of August 07, 2009. The schedule is set for the 2009-2010 season(details lower), but before the Raptors will begin their season, they'll face the Greek powerhouse, Olympiacos Piraeus and Armani Jeans Milano of Italy as part of the NBA Europe Live tour 2009.

Dark Clouds in TorontoAntoine Wright get's injured while practice, the 25 year old guard seriously sprained hes knee after he fell after a dunk, and will go under surgery next week. Wrights injury is expected to recover for the game against New Orleans which will took place in November 25. It seems that rookie DeMar DeRozan will fill hes spot as starting SG and probably the newly acquired Marco Belinelli will be hes backup. Though this is a big chance for DeRozan, Wrights injury is a problem for Toronto.
Europe Live jerseys revealedRaptors revealed jerseys for NBA Europe Live tour. The Raps' manufactured 2 different jerseys for their journey, one for the game against Italy's AJ Milano and 1 for the highly expected game against Olympiakos of Greece.

Looking really good! Although a lot of white unnecessary space.

Thnx, and don't worry I'll fill those spots as the season begins

those jerseys are sick! Good to see Derozan moving into the starting spot, hopefully he can make something of it.

First off as I am most likely going to that school, It is Simon Fraser not Simion Fraser for Jay Triano. Either than that, this sounds interesting especially because this is 03 and I am a Raptor fan. I would love to see Ukic develop. Although he kind of sucks, I still think that he might become a decent player in the league.

The great ize doing a 03 dynasty, great news.
Loving the J's!

Raptors beat AJIt was easy for the Raptors, they didn't really struggled, but they'll certainly will in their next game against Childress & co.

Nice to see a live 03 dynasty. Even better that it seems to be top notch quality. Keep it up. Nice presentation.

The NBA.com you have is sick.
Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:22 pm
It's strange how weird looking the player faces are in comparison to the newer NBA Live and NBA 2k games, although it's definitely good for nostalgia of when I used to play 03/04.
Being a Raptor fan and all, I hope you do this team justice. Seeing that Wright injury makes me think that you're planning on big things for Belinelli or Derozan, which I would really enjoy to see as a Raptor fan.

Thnx for the comments guys

Olympiakos too much for TorontoToronto kept the pace with Olympiakos, they even had the lead in the 2nd quarter. They only had a deficit of 6 pts in the last quarter, but in the 4th quarter Toronto couldn't resist the pressure of the Greek squad, and especially of former US team member Lynn Greer who dropped 27 points leading all players in scoring, the Raptors left the arena with a humiliating 67-88 loss to Olympiakos.

The expiring contract of former Milwaukee Bucks player, Lynn Greer came into the attention of the Toronto Raptors, negotiations for possible NBA career for Greer with the Raptors, started yesterday. The Raptors and Greer are close to an agreement.

NewsNegotiations with guard Lynn Greer weren't successful, the 29 year old point guard signed yesterday with the Turkish squad Fenerbahçe Ülker.
Brian Collangelo said: "We were very interested in Greer, we wanted him to be our next Anthony Parker, we don't wanted to miss this chance, but we just did that... I'm very sad about it".

Utah @ Toronto
Great season opening game for Toronto as they easily beat the Utah Jazz 68-76. Bargnani an DeRozan both had big games. After the first quarter there was no doubt who's better, Williams tried his best with 30 points but the bench production was too poor for the Jazz, while Toronto reserves scored almost half of their teams points (29), Belinelli and Graham dropped 8 while Jack scored 7.

AI in BostonAllen Iverson signed a 1 year deal wit the Boston Celtics, AI announced earlier that he wants to finish hes career in a happy situation. Boston made some big moves, and hes a serious championship contender. AI declared: "I'll try to help my team to an NBA title, even if I'll come from the bench" - as probably he'll do.

In your second to last update you put Utah @ Detroit, when it should be Utah @ Toronto. Good win over the Jazz to start the season. Allen Iverson signing with the Celtics is a very strange move, even though any team that Iverson joins should benefit somehow (except the Pistons). Nice job holding off the Thunder. Once again, your videos are top notch.

lmfao, Bosh lost it at the end of the OKC game

Thnx for the comments guys, I'll try to repeat the win against the Heat too, but the Denver game will be tough.
