INTERVIEW WITH GM KEVIN JAMES
Q Kevin you have only been GM for one week and have already completed a blockbuster trade! What are your comments?
A Well I didn't feel Shawn Marion was the right fit for us. I think a veteran like Jason Kidd can take the Heat far physically but mainly mentally.
Q What are your goals for the up coming year?
A One Goal! NBA championship.
Q Are you planning on making any more changes to the team?
A I'm going to wait until the first few weeks of the regular season are over and then I will decide what changes if any need to be made.
Q One last question What teams worries you the most going into the regular season?
A The Cavaiers. They have one of the greatest players in the world. Lebron James. Along with Wade and Kobe. Besides that they have a great team with good chemistry.
Q Thank You for your time.
A No Problem

Quinn and Chalmers will not be rejoining the team any time soon do to not showing up to training camp. On October 25th GM Kevin James called Quinn and Chalmers asking why they wern't coming to training camp. Quinn refused to answer the call. Chalmers however told reporters that he thought it was very disrespectful that Jason Kidd joined the team in a trade and no information about this trade was given to Two already backup point guards to Marcus Banks and now Jason Kidd too.

If you want replies and followers, you should write longer recaps with more info and recaps should be organized. Love your team selection though.

RECAP

Miami 125 Philidelphia 122 (OT)

The Heat trailed the whole game until OT. They were down by as much as 15 in the third quarter. Halfway through the fourth when they were down by 9 and it looked like they were going to receive their first lost guess who took over. Dwyane Wade! He had 24 points in the fourth quarter and 54 in the game. With 19 seconds left the Heat were down by 2 and were forced to foul Andre Miller. He missed the first free throw and made the 2nd. Fourteen seconds left. Kidd passed it to Wade. Ten seconds and wade is dribbling up top. Five seconds Wade drives and kicks it out to a open Jason Kidd. One second and Kidd shoots and... it's good the game is going into OT. Early in OT Kidd fouls out with 15 pts and 13 ast. With 2 minutes left wade fouls out and beasley is forced to take over. With 1 minute left the game is back and fourth. With 37 seconds left cook hits a three and Miami is up by three. Iguadola shoots a three to tie the game. It was short and the heat escaped from their first lost of the season.

The Miami Heat have just signed two new big men to replace their two point guards Quin and Chalmers. GM Kevin James reported that in their OT win against the 76ers it was obvious late in the game they were lacking big men. PJ Brown was signed for 1 year and just over 1 million dollars and Walter Herrmann was signed for 2 years for just over 4 million each year. Even though the Heat were happy with the way the team was playing they thought that two more big man could really help out Mark Blount who had to play 40 plus minutes a game unless the heat wanted to play small.

RECAP

Miami-91 Sanantonio-117

The Heat recieved their first loss of the season after getting blown out in the fourth quarter. The game was within ten going into the fourth quarter but then Miami just lost it. Jason Kidd had no answer for Tony Parker's speed and none of our big man could stop Duncan. PJ Brown proved he could be a solid starter in his debut with Miami scoring 14 points and grabbing 9 rbs. Walter Herrmann struggled only scoring 6 points and playing terrible defense. Mark Blount came off the bench for the first time this year and played very solid scoring 8 points and graabing 6 rbs and playing the best defense on Duncan.

Dwyane Wade led the team with 31 points, 2 rbs, and 2 ast. Jason Kidd fouled out early in the fourth but was able to score 5 points and 17 ast. PJ Brown had a great game with 14 pts and 13 rbs. Walter Herrmann improved from his last game scoring 10 pts and grabbing 6 rbs. Miami trailed at the half but managed to take a 6 point lead going into the fourth. The heat were able to keep the lead the rest of the way and the lowest the lead got to was 2 points. This win moved the Heat's record up to 6-1 and the Heat are playing very well.

RECAP

Miami-88 New Jersey-91

The Miami Heat lost a nail biter. Walter Herrman had a monster game and kept the Heat in the game going into the fourth. walter Herrmann had 24 points and went 8-13 from the 3 point line! Dwyane Wade had 30 points, 3 rbs, and 3 ast for the heat. Jason Kidd scored just four points, grabbed 2 rbs and had 10 ast. Vince Carter for the nets had 32 pts 3 rbs and 0 ast. Late in the fourth Devin Harris (player of the game) hit a three to give the nets a 3 point lead. with 10 seconds left Dwyane Wade had the ball. He passed to Kidd. Five seconds... Kidd kicks it back out to wade in the corner. One second and wade spins to avoid carter blocking his shot.; Wade shoots to tie the game. It's good... The refs review it. The shot didn't count and the heat had lost just their second game.

RECAP

Miami-92 Washington-95

The Heat had another dissapointing loss. Three in a row. After the game it was obvious the Heat were missing something. Dwyane Wade had to do way to much to try to beat the 2-3 and now 3-3 Washington Wizards. Dwyane Wade tried to do everything he could but his 49 pts, 3 rbs, 4 ast, and 2 blks were not enough. Jason Kidd played decent with 17 pts, 3 rbs, and 7 ast. Gilbert Arenas had 22 pts for the wizards. Caron Butler played very solid for the wizards with 23 pts, 5 rbs, and 3 ast. Brendan Haywood had 16 pts and 11 rbs for Washington but what he did best today wasn't on the stat sheet. His defense was great and he made life hard for anyone who tried to go inside. The Player of the Game was Dwyane Wade despite the fact that they lost. The Heat's record is now 5-4.

RECAP

Miami-102 Toronto-103

The Heat lost by 1 point off a terrible pass from Wade to turn it over with 1 second left. You can't blame it on Wade though because without him this game would have been a blow out. Wade had 42 pts, 2 rbs, and 4 ast. Kidd is the only one who stepped up to help Wade after the loss to washington. Kidd had21 pts, 2 rbs, and 9 ast. The Heat lost for to reasons. 1. Wade and Kidd have no help. 2. Blount, Brown, and Herrmann could not get a defensive rebound. The Heat trailed by five going into the fourth and only took the lead once with one minute left in the game. Anthony Parker and Jose Calderon (player of the game) double teamed Wade with 5 seconds left forcing a bad pass. Chris Bosh picked off the pass and dribbled the last to seconds off the clock and gave the Heat a 5-5 record and their forth straight loss. After the game GM Kevin James told us don't be suprised if the team has a slight change going into are next game. That is all he would say. Heat head coach Eric Spoelstra said he was very upset about the heat's rebounding and also thought that are shooting needed to improve. (He said this a little different but I can't use the words in this article) Overall the Heat are struggling and the Miami Heat are trying to find one or two more pieces to help.

Jannero Pargo was signed by the Miami Heat Sunday. GM Kevin James told us that we were lacking a threat from behind the three point line. He told us that Walter Herrmann was really are best 3 point shooter and we need him to grab rebounds not be standing up top waiting for a three. The Heat play Washington tommorow night. (11/17/08) Pargo will be able to make the game as the Heat try to beat Washington after losing a close game last time they played.

GM Kevin James anounced that he had no interest in resigning Quinn. He told us that he didn't think the resigning of Quinn would would improve the team so he picked up Pargo to replace Quinn. Then he told us he doesn't care what Quinn thinks about this because it's his own fault he got released from the team in the first place.
