POOR START FOR THE T'WOLVES

DENVER (0-1) @ MINNESOTA (0-0)

Denver travelled to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves ready for a fierce game. The Wolves are now under head coach Chazz, who made sure his team was in tip-top shape. They were. The Wolves exploded in the first, and although the score didn't show it, they were red hot. they went into the first break up by three. Enter Allen iverson! He dominated in the second, and had a total score of 45 by the end of they game. It was still tight though, and in the last, rookie O.J Mayo hit a three to tie the game up with 0.9 seconds on the clock. In overtime, the Nuggets got the better of a start, coming home to win by 6 points

"Man, that Mayo kid has game!" Mike Miller (who scored 31 points) referring to team-mate O.J Mayo (25 points)

DENVER - 126
MINNESOTA - 120

MINNESOTA (0-1) @ NEW YORK (0-2)

The Wolves embarked on their first trip of the year to new York to take on Stephon Marbury and the Knicks. Marbury led from the front as New York dominated throguhout the first three quarters to lead by 31. The Wolves, inspired by youngster O.J May (30 points) fought back hard in the last to give a little respectability to the score, thanks to Randy Foye (11 assists) and Al Jefferson.

"Uhh, well we tried as hard as we could but I guess we were fatigued from the Denver game the other day." Timberwolves Shooting Guard Rashad McCants searching for answers about his teams loss.
"We played crap." T'Wolves coach Chazz.

NEW YORK - 115
MINNESOTA - 95

ORLANDO (0-3) @ MINNESOTA (0-2)

The Minnesota fans saw a great first half... then left. Orlando had a 34 point lead at half-time and it didn't look like reversing. In a dismal performance, the only positive was O.J Mayo yet again leading the way for the Wolves with 18 points and leading by example. The worst thing to take from this game? The defence. Eight players from the Magic scored double figures, while two just got a basket or two for them. Most of the home team's fan left the arena early, whilst the agic fans basked in the glory of a true killing for the second week in a row, but this time it was 52 points.

ORLANDO - 126
MINNESOTA - 84

"How do we expect to win games when one kid [O.J Mayo] is playing his guts out when so called 'experienced' players just sot back? The only person who can truly know he played 100% is O.J Mayo. If we keep this up, we'll be a lottery team... AGAIN!" said a furious Minnesota coach.

The Timberwolves now take on the Los Angeles Lakers , the D\Sacramento Kings and the Utah Jazz before returning home.

ATTENTION:

Something messed with my game but let's pretend I beat the Knicks 105-102!!

EVEN WORSE WEEK FOR WOLVES

MINNESOTA(1-2) @ LOS ANGELES (2-2)

Terrible news for the Wolves in the first minute when Al Jefferson limped off the court. It was later discovered that he has a bone spur in his foot and will be out indefinately. To their credit, the Wolves hung on to trail by six at the end of the third period. The gap was stretched to 12 early on but O.J Mayo led the fightback but he was halted when Kobe Bryant blocked a possible trey and went down for the un-contested two. A minute later Rashad McCants stripeed the ball from Kobe and sunk the lay-up. He did the same to Derek Fisher a second or two later but failed to get the dunk. With two minutes to go, the Wolves were well and truly in it but failed to convert. Kobe Bryant had a quiet last period but managed 54 point for the game.
[
"A decent effort. We tried but losing Al sucked because when our big men got tired we had no-one to go to. Actually, that effort was so good that I'm gonna shout 'em Freddos." Chazz about their effort.
"Pau went straight up to me and said 'Better luck next time, losers!' Now I personally chuckled, then I realised what he meant." O.J Mayo about his chuckling affair with Pau Gasol.

LOS ANGELES - 117
MINNESOTA - 109

MINNESOTA(1-3) @ SACRAMENTO(3-2)

After a disapointing game against LA, the Wolves had high hopes of beating Sacramento. Well, they were pretty much wrong! In a great team effort, Scaramento dominated the Wolves as Brad Miller scored thrity-three, Kenyon Martin scored thrity and Ron Artest scored twenty-five. Has a new big three been born? The worst part about this game was that J. Collins is out for 9 days with a sprained wrist, however the good thing is that Randy Foye pciked up twenty-three points and six rebounds.

"Eh, not again." Mike Miller after his team's loss.
"That was a sick team effort by them, and we just struggled all night. Randy had a good night, while we had a few people chipping in nicely" Head Coach Chazz, who obviously took a chill pill.

SACRAMENTO - 128
MINNESOTA - 97

MINNESOTA (1-4) @ UTAH (1-5)

Mike Miller obviously wasn't happy with the way his team was performing as he had a stellar night, with twenty-eight points, three rebounds and two assists. It's a shame the rest of his team didn't play like him. the game was close until half-time, when the Wolves grew weary. Utah pounced on this opportunity and (Kirilenko in particular) stepped up their game. O.J Mayo had a decent night, hitting 17 points and 4 steals. randy Foye obviously was tired from his night against Sacramento, as he struggled to get into the game.

"Well, looks like the boys are about to have fun with fitness work tomorrow!" Chazz after his side ran out of gas in the second half.
"They were tough, but unlucky." Andre kirilenko after a tough game.

UTAH - 102
MINNESOTA - 76

HUGE TRADE BETWEEN ATLANTA AND MINNESOTA!

Image

The Timberwolves are proud to announce that Mike Bibby is officially apart of their team. In return, the Hawks receive Mike Miller and Randy Foye as they continue to struggle in 2008.

Now that the Wolves have Mike Bibby, they have a go-to-man who can shoot and also set up plays with his passing and dribbling skills. He can penetrate into the paint due to his footwork and can throw out threes. He also relieves O.J Mayo of some of the pressure that he was under from needing to score all the time.

With Atlanta losing Bibby, they hope that Miller and Foye can provide help to their dismal side.

WHO KNEW WOLVES COULD SLAY GIANTS?

WASHINGTON (6-1) @ MINNESOTA (1-5)

The Wolves faced a veryv tough week starting with the Wizards, who made an impressive start to the season. Newcomer to the squar Mike Bibby suited up for his first game for Minnesota with the local fans all excited to see him playing for their club. Well, Bibby didn't disapoint, scoring forty points and handing out eight assists. By half-time, the local crowd was right in it. The Timberwolves continued to play well, though rookie O.J Mayo had a quiet game. For the Wizards, Gilbert Arenas showed leadership and kept Washington in it. With two minutes to go, fans were rejoicing as it was apparent the home team was going to win.

"We can't get ahead of ourselves. Sure, it was a great performance but we still have New Orleans and Cleveland this week." A fairly jovial Head Coach Chazz, happy that his team finally found it's straps.
"Most of our boys thought we just had to show up to win this thing. It proves that like KG says, anything is possible." Wizards star Gilbert Arenas.

MINNESOTA - 107
WASHINGTON - 99

NEW ORLEANS (7-3) @ MINNESOTA (2-5)

After a great win against the Wizards, the Wolves had another stellar night with both Mike Bibby and O.J Mayo stepping up their game. Hornets star Chris Paul was overcome by great defense from the big guys although Al Jefferson is still out. Mayo (34 points) and Bibby (7 assist and 17 points) both played excellently showing leadership when the Wolves were down by eight early in the first.

"I love it here, man. I'm so glad i came here. Everyone is so great and it's good to get a few wins." Mike Bibby, new to Minnesota.

MINNESOTA - 116
NEW ORLEANS - 102

CLEVELAND (7-4) @ MINNESOTA (3-5)

It was LeBron vs Bibby as both key players were dominant for their team. LeBron was better as an individual, but the rest of his team was still tired from the plane trip as the Wolves kept the Cavaliers to eighty-eight points, which half was scored by the King. The home crowd were even happier when James was douled out with minutes left, killing all chances the Cavs had at winning. The main story, though, is what Shooting Guard Rashad McCants stated after the game.

"Ahaha, too easy. Without James these guys su-uck. They shouldn't of even bothered to come. WE ARE THE BEST!" Rashad McCants, obviously the first one to the beer.
"Yes, if he does this one more time I'd definately ship him off. Stuff like that shouldn't be in basketball. So I'd like to apologies to the Cavaliers, our own fans, LeBron James and our boys, who are embarrassed about such a thing." Chazz after being asked about the McCants incident.

you ought to trade McCants for a big man or even a 1st rounder. Getting Bibby was a smart move.
