Gm-Ok, lets hire a good staff, one that we can have a good foundation to build on, first we need an assistant head coach, what kind are you looking for.

Coach-I want a coach who is good in development.

Gm-Ok, i see one, his name is osipov, he's good with development, h'es 35 and he wants 3 years.

Specific improvements after training camp:

Gm:Coach, what specific improvements have you seen after training camp?

Coach:Well, player by player, the main players that have improved are Ming, two of his improvements were blocking and defensive awareness, and ron artest improved in inside scoring.

Gm:Who are you going to focus your assistants on?

Coach:With the defensive coach, i want him to train our young talented gaurd wafer in defense, i want him to be tracy mcgrady-like in stealing and defensive awareness, because mcgrady will retire in a few years, and i want wafer to be as good as mcgrady was and is. With the other assistant he'll be training white our 3rd string small forward in defense, i want him to be like artest and battier in stealing and defensive awareness. Our team will be good in defense, our big men in blocking and rebounding, and our gaurds and small forwards will be good in stealing,

Gm:What kind of player will you scout since this years draft is weak?

Coach:Since it is weak, we won't do much scouting, but i will focus the scout on a point gauard, an eventual playmaker with at least good potential.

Gm:Ok, we did well this offseason, the season will start in a few days, i hope we do well.

Coach:I believe we will, I'll see you later in the season.

Coach:The trade went through, Golden state accepted the proposal, we now have turiaf!
Gm:Excellent! Now we don't have to draft a center.
Coach:Yep, that was the general idea, we needed a young center because of the aging mutumbo.

Coach:Our first game is at utah, they have a good three point shooting center, and two good forwards who can score and rebound, kirelenko can play defense.
Gm:I think we can stop them though, ming can block, artest, battier and mcgrady can steal, so we should be able to win.
Coach:We shall see, because we are on the road, utah's a long way from houston.

Doesn't the GM make trades? I think you have it the other way around. Gm consults with the coach, whether or not to do a trade.

Coach:I think its a good deal, then in the offseason we can trade him in the off season.
Gm:(A day later)Well coach, the trade went through, we now have keyon dooling and i signed darius washington the piont gaurd to a two year deal.
Coach:Excellet, we now have two young point gaurds that we can develope, excellent deal.

There may be at least one more trade on the way to get rid of a power forward maybe for a small forward, either chuck hayes or carl landry for a small forward who can shoot threes. This team is built around defense and three point shooting, and of course we want to run and gun.

Gm:Wally zyerbiack from cleveland, he's been good for them off the bench. Both players are veterans, battier's a better defender and that team likes defense, i'll send the proposal, plus i think they need another big man, every team neesd a big man.

Coach:Gm, we're struggling right now at 6-6, we need more scoring perferablly a starter who can score.
Gm:Yes, I've already contacted the lakers twice about a trade, they turned downed ouro offer of battier and barry for odom because of cap space. But they just accepted our offer of battier, barry and landry for odom and yue. So now we have a rookie who our assistants can train and improve.
Coach:That was a good deal for both teams, we get a veteran forward who can start alongside ming and who can shoot from outside. And they get a good shootnig vetteran ponit gaurd, a a small forward who can defend and a young power forward who has lots of potential in landry. I think that was fair.
Gm:Me to, now lets see if we can win more games.

Coach:Well, we were on a two game winning streak since the trade at 8-6 now we're 8-7 with our lost to phoenix.
Gm:How is odom doing?
Coach:Well, as far as shooting he's shooting well, in our last game he scored 7 points and went 2-5, he isn't getting the ball much for some reason. Our main scorers should be ming, mcgrady, artest and now odom. We're buildnig our team around yao ming as he is our leader now.
Gm:I wish we had a playmaker at the point gaurd position.
Coach:We could make another trade, maybe with milwaukee for luke ridnoure but the players may complain about roster stability.
Gm:Yeah, I know. We can make one more trade this season and that will be for luke ridnour, hopefully we can get either him or a different playmaking point gaurd, but one thing is for sure, we need a point gaurd who can pass the ball very well, a playmaker. I'll try to make an offer to the bucks for ridnoure.
coach:Ok, I hope it works out.

Gm:I've attempted trades with the magic, thunder and bucks, but for one reason or another they didn't accept the proposals.
Coach:Well i guess we'll have to focus our assistants on our point gaurds in offense like we're doing with aaron brooks, and hopefully they'll improve in passing.
