The NBA Lives On - Fantasy Celtics

Postby Fusion14 on Sun Mar 08, 2009 7:11 am

As some of you may remember, I had an issue with NBA Live 09 when I attempted to start a Dynasty earlier. I've since found one to work fine, however, the Celtics Dynasty has begun to bore me. I wanted to find something interesting, different, and above all, fun. I wanted to still use the Celtics if I could, so I felt the easiest way to do this was a Fantasy Draft team. Without further ado, here it is.

Skill Level - All Star, CPU Favored Sliders
Schedule - Full 82 Games
Playoff Length - 7-7-7-7
Simulation Injuries - ON
Hire Staff - MANUAL
Team Event Scheduling - MANUAL
Scouting - AUTO
Roster Management - MANUAL
Salary Cap Restrictions - ON
Modify CPU Teams - OFF

Game Play - Not really feeling like playing each and every game, for right now, I'm planning on going with about half of the games each week. If there's three games, I'll probably play two sometimes, one other times. The game choices for now will be random. Later in the season, it may be against the higher ranked teams instead. Enjoy.

The sports world very well may be in shock. The National Basketball Association has nearly crumbled into nothing. With nearly the entire league about to go under due to serious economy concerns, Commissioner David Stern had a plan. With the help of a number of endorsements around the nation, Stern put together a complete draft of every player in the NBA at the time. With the move, a random selection of teams for order, the draft was born just months prior to the start of the season. The Washington Wizards selected first and with the pick selected ex-Laker all star Kobe Bryant. The Chicago Bulls selected Hornets guard Chris Paul and third was the Phoenix Suns selecting ex-Heat guard Dwayne Wade. Selecting fourth was the Boston Celtics who many would assume would select LeBron James, passed up the opportunity to select center Dwight Howard. Denver selected James with the fifth pick.

The Celtics, led by Dwight Howard and young Kevin Durant square off against the Cleveland Cavaliers led by Amare Stoudemire and Caron Butler to start off this awkward season. It surely will be determined whether or not this league will survive with the move or not.

*If anyone wants to know who was drafted where, I have the first three rounds documented*
