Hey guys,
This is my first Dynastystory and actually my first Post in this Forum but I'm reading your
Dynasties for a long time. I was shy of trying to start something here, because im German and
my English is not that good. So if you find any unforgivable mistakes advise me to it ;).

Enough of the introducing....

This will be a Story about the 08-09 Miami Heat. I will completely simulate the 07-08 Season,
because the Season is done already as you know. My focus will be to bring Dwyane Wade back
to Superstarstatus, after is last 2 injured seasons.

Goals:

Getting rid of the old players
Maybe getting a better player instead of Shawn Marion, best would be a dominating Center
Bringing the Heat back to the Finals and hopefully Dwyane his second Championship

 82 Games / 5-5-5-5 Playoffs
 3rd/4th quarter Intervention or full game at times
 Sim/Played Quarter Length: 12 mins/ 10mins
 Original Sliders ( I'm open for Realisticslider suggestions)
 Difficulty Superstar
 Console: Xbox360
 Roster: Newest Roster update

There will be Screens, but only in low qualitiy expect of if someone tells a better mode then with my Digicam.

More to come later....

The Rise and the fall of Dwyane Wade...

Image

After entering the league with little fanfare as the fifth pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, Wade has become one of the more accomplished young players in the NBA today. Having made the All-Rookie team in his first season and the All-Star team the following four seasons, Wade led the Miami Heat to their first NBA Championship in franchise history in his third pro campaign. He was named the 2006 NBA Finals MVP as he led the Heat to a 4–2 series win over the Dallas Mavericks.

2006–07
In the 2006–07 season, Wade missed a total of 31 games due to injury. Despite Wade's play, the Heat struggled early in the season with injuries and were 20–25 on February 1, 2007. But with Shaquille O'Neal healthy and Pat Riley returning to the bench after undergoing hip and knee surgeries, the Heat seemed poised to surge into the second half of the season. However, during a game against the Houston Rockets on February 21, 2007, while attempting to steal the ball from Shane Battier, Wade dislocated his left shoulder and was assisted off the court in a wheelchair. After the injury he was left with the decision to either rehabilitate the shoulder or undergo season-ending surgery.

Image

2007–08
Wade made his first appearance of the 2007-08 season on November 14, 2007. Battling pain in his left knee throughout the season. However, with the Heat holding the worst record in the NBA and Wade still experiencing problems in his left knee, Heat coach Pat Riley announced Wade would miss the final 21 games of the season to undergo OssaTron treatment on his left knee.

2008-09...

After the promising Olympicgames in Beijing from Dwyane Wade, where he displayed his regained Athletic possibility's, Headcoach Pat Riley renewed his contract.

Also the introducing of the new General Manager Alex Honka, showed the
willing of a new Franchise to happen.

History in the Making....

I'm now at simulating the 07-08 Season. I will post a short overview of all the Trades and stuff. The real thing will start at the Offseason. Do you have any suggestions for what Players I should trade.
What about a Marion for Yao trade?

Okay. What you have here isn't bad. The template looks pretty good, and everything is well-placed. However, the font you chose (looks like Times New Roman or something) does not look good at all, and is too small. I would recommend switching the font and making it bigger.

The article itself is short, but to the point and explains everything. It could be a tad longer, and could use some proofreading, but not bad. Also, sometimes your sentences would drop to the next line randomly, and you may want to fix that.

I hope you stick around and keep this going. If this is fixed up, it could be pretty good. I'll be giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Thank you Lamrock for your help I will try to improve my overlay the way you said.

To any of the readers, how do you like the trade?

I have already finished the offseason, so an update will come soon.
What I can tell you right now is that 3 of my starters are gone.

on a 'realism' basis, i doubt Yao ever leaves HOU until he's waaay past his prime ala Shaq (but then again Boston's current 'Big 3' would've been called 'unrealistic' if anyone attempted a dynasty with those trades before they actually went down in real life);

but this is 'virtual/fantasy' dynasty though so i think that's a HUGE positive trade for your squad. definitely one of the more promising starts for a nice/readable dynasty; take your time, try to limit the trading just for trading's sake even though it's tough (everyone, myself included, falls into that trap out of bordom after 15+ games; sometimes sooner)

oop... lol. just re-read your last line. ah well... not too late to take a 'Mulligan'? ;)

would've liked to see how the team adapts first with Yao then maybe start pulling in some diff players before AS Weekend. anyway will track unless all the trades are too ridiculous

Thank you Clutch, yeah I wasn't sure if I should do the Yao Trade but the CPU offered me way more unrealisitic tradematerial for Shawn.

Until now that's my only trade and the 3 Starters that left my team were through not resigning and retiring so no worry about that ;). I try to take more time for my posts but I want to get loyal readers :) like you already have with yours.

“Though Dwyane Wade was representing the Miami Heat at the 2008 Draft-lottery the luck wasn't
really with the Team. Sure it wasn't a surprise for the Heat Staff, because with the newly acquired
Co-Star Yao Ming, the Team finished 3rd in the league even with the injury that Wade has been through.

Overall the fact that we couldn't land a lottery pick isn't that bad, because our Scouts predicted that the Draft material this year will be average at best.” GM Honka said at the Draft lottery following Press Conference.

“But anyway with the 28. and 58. Pick we can fill some holes in our Team. We already have some Prospects which can fill our needs” Headcoach Pat Riley added.

Here is a little overview of my Prospects... the 08 Draft will come in a view hours.

Godfrey James PG
Age: 22
Potential: Good
Height: 5-9
Weight: 202 lb
Top 15

Keenan Maier PF
Age: 19
Potential: Average
Height: 6-8
Weight: 233 lb
Top 20

Harvey Anthony PG
Age: 21
Height: 5-8
Weight: 189 lb
Potential: Limited
End 1st rnd

Zach Meier
PF
Age: 21
Height: 6-6
Weight: 262 lb
Potential: Excellent
End 1st rnd

Free Agents Resigning

Five Heat-Players wanted their contract to be renewed in Miami. But only two of them agreed to the offers the GM Staff gave them.

“First of all we tried to save our future with the resigning of Smallforward Dorell Wright. He
is and will be a groundstone for our future Dynasty. He showed how valuable he is for our Defense,
his role is like a younger Bruce Bowen for our Team.” GM Honka announced.

Dorell will earn 4,61mil. per year and will stay for at least 2 years with the Team.

“Also we want to resign Earl Barron for one year and a salary of 851k $. We have a backuphole at our frontcourt and we think he is a solid defender for our Team.”

Jason Williams and Ricky Davis aren't a part of the Team anymore. Ricky wanted a ridiculous amount of money ( 56 million for 4 years) which he isn't worth anymore. Jason Williams on the other side wanted to test the Free Agent market.

“I don't think the Heat are Contenders anymore and Pat Riley just limited my Playing time more and more.” Quote Jason Williams

The Heat Organization wishes Jason and Ricky a bright and healthy Future whereever they land.

Chris Quinn has also not been resigned . In fact he's looking to try the Europe market.

Retiring

Today Alonzo Mourning announced that he will end his Career as an Basketball Player. The Heat-Organization can look at this with a crying and laughing eye.

On one side one of the best Players ever to wear an Heat Uniform will leave the Heat as a Player but he also will Continuing his work as an Athletic Coach for the Miami Heat. That will be especially important for Yao Ming and all the other Heat Big Mans who can learn much from him on defense.

Thank you for your help, I try my best to minimize my mistakes.

Yeah it was really weird to see the top 10 Draftpicks only consisting of PF and C.

I would like to continue my writing but Imageshack won't let me upload new Pictures.

Meh. No one bothers to read extremely long recaps. His are short and to the point, and not being a native English speaker, his writing is acceptable.

Good luck in the coming season. I see that Pau comes off the bench in yours too. It sucks that you can't edit the players' positions. An epic fail by EA this time around.
