1. That yellow font is hideous and unreadable
2. The game previews are unnecessary

Get rid of the yellow! It hell on the eyes. And lamrock's right, previews are not necessary, but an interesting concept.

have changed the font colour. will not have game previews in future, i think it adds a new element to the posts though, with the key matchups. and it means I dont have to do the starting 5's in the results. and its not supposed to be mikki moore, i just couldnt find an icon with him in it.

results will be up soon.

Portland edge out New Orleans in nail-biter

Image
Above: Chris Paul scored 22 points for the Hornets, including two 3-Pointers.

The New Orleans Hornets have conceded their second loss of the season, in an exciting game against the Portland Trail Blazers at the New Orleans Arena last night. The game was high scoring from the start with the Blazers scoring an amazing 46 points in the first quarter, while the Hornets managed a respectable 30. The Blazers scored another 39 points in the 2nd, but the Hornets were able to restrict them to 27 and 13 in the 3rd and 4th quarters repectfully. The Hornets were leading 118 to 115 with 3 minutes left on the clock, but unfortunatly, the inexperienced side on court for these clutch minutes missed some easy shots and gave crucial possesions away, which allowed Portland to equalize, and then overtake the Hornets score. Rookie Jerryd Bayless scored an amazing 36 points for Portland in as many minutes on the court. For New Orleans, David West was again the top-scorer, with 29.

Denver stung as Hornets claim first win

Image
Above: Chris Paul scores two of his 30 points for the Hornets.

The New Orleans Hornets have claimed their first win of the season, against an in-form Denver Nuggets side. It was close in the first half, with the two sides jockeying for the lead. But in the second half, Denver collapsed, and New Orleans were able to gain a 6 point lead by the end of the 3rd. The Hornets dominated the 4th, and by the final siren were 9 points in front. Chris Paul was the sharp-shooter for the Hornets, scoring 30 points and playing an incredible 47 minutes. J.R. Smith had an excellent game off the bench, racking up 26 points in 22 minutes on-court.

Post-Game Interview
with Fran Fraschilla

Fran Fraschilla: Chris Paul, excellent game tonight.

Chris Paul: Thanks, Fran. It's good to get some points next to my name.

Fran Fraschilla: Some points! You scored 30! Talk yourself up a bit.

Chris Paul: (laughs) That's not really my style.

Fran Fraschilla: I know it's not, but you deserve recognition.

Chris Paul: I just got some from you.

Fran Fraschilla: Yes, you did. Anyway, back on task. How did it feel to get the first win of the season?

Chris Paul: It's great. It's also a huge relief. There's been alot of pressure on us after the two losses already this season, and, like I said, it's great to get a win on the board.

Fran Fraschilla: Were you suprised that it came tonight?

Chris Paul: Yes and no. It's always good to beat Denver, their a good team, and that's why I'm suprised we won. We probably should have won our first two games, but we weren't really playing as a team. Tonight, at the end of the first quarter, I knew we would win.

Fran Fraschilla: Well, you were correct. What was different tonight than the past two games?

Chris Paul: We just played as a team. As simple as that. We got the ball to the guys who were scoring, and they finished.

Fran Fraschilla: What was the game plan for Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony?

Chris Paul: It was quite simple really. Don't let them touch the ball, and if they do, pressure them, so they make a mistake, or miss a shot. It worked on Melo, but AI's too good with the ball.

Fran Fraschilla: Well, I'd better let you go. Good luck for the Lakers.

Chris Paul: Thanks, Fran.

Above: David West produced the goods for New Orleans with 23 points and 10 rebounds.

The New Orleans Hornets have claimed their second consecutive win of the season, against a star-studded Lakers side. The Hornets led from the start and never looked back, playing the kind of precise basketball that seemed to be absent in their losses to Sacramento and Portland. New Orleans led Los Angeles by 11 points at the end of the 1st period. It was reduced to 10 by the half, and 9 by the end of the 3rd. The final deficit was 5 points, though the Hornets seemed to be in control all match. The top-scorer for the Lakers was Kobe Bryant with 20, while David West continued his superb form, picking up a solid 23 points.

Byron Scott | Head Coach

"Today was a good win. We played well as a team, and even though we were behind for most of the game, you could tell Portland were nervous. Then we struck. We unleashed 48 points on them in the last quarter. We showed we're capable. We showed we're ready to win."

Please refrain from plugging your dynasty in other people's thread. Especially if it is no good

My only suggestion for this would be to have the points listed first on the top contributor's stats. Otherwise, not bad. Readable for a first dynasty.
