When I first noticed this site I immediately fell in love with your guy's dynasty stories. I'm planning on being a journalist for a job and i thought this would be great writing experience. So here goes.
I simmed a fantasy draft to make things interesting. Quick post of the rosters, major players only.

Atlanta Hawks: Garnett and Bowen

Boston Celtics: Chris Webber, Darius Miles, and Baron Davis

Charlotte Bobcats, crazy good: Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Okafor, and Maglore (sp?)

Chicago Bulls: Time Duncan, Micheal Redd, and Iguodala

Cleavland Cavilers: Tracy Mcgrady, Sebestian Telfair, and J Johnson

Dallas Mavericks: Jermaine O Neal, Yao Ming, and J.R. Smith

Denver Nuggets, wowzers: Bonzi Wells, Shaun Livingston, Ben Wallace, and Elton Brand.

Detroit Pistons: Ray Allen, Tony Parker, Shawn Marion

Golden State: Shaq and Dwight Howard

Houston Rockets: Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Chris Paul, and Amerie Staudimire (sp?) (what a future they have O_o)

Indiana Pacers: Dwayne Wade and Billups.... nice

LA Clippers: Ilgauskas, and Kenyon Martin

La Lakers: King James and Jason Richardson

Memphis Grizzlies: Kirklinco, thats pretty much it

Miami Heat (they suck): Antwawn Jamison is the only one worth mentioning

Milwaukee Bucks: Mike Bibby, Steve Francis, and Robert Horry

Minnesota Timberwolves: Paul Pierce, Larry Hughes, and Damon Staudimire.

New Jersey Nets: Sheeeeeeeeeed, Ridnour, Ray Lewis, and JR.

New Orleans Hornets: Stakotivick (lazy spelling) and Nowvitzki.

New York Knicks: Gilbert Arenas, Antwan Walker, and Andrew Bogut.

Orlando Magic: Marcus Camby and Chris Bosh

76ers: Jason Terry and Manu

Suns: Marbury and Chandler

I'm skipping the blazers

Sacremento Kings: Melo, Payton, and Mobley

San Antonio: Ben Gordon and Richard Jefferson

Seattle Supersonics: AI and Swift

Toronto: Artest

Utah Jazz: Eddie Curry and Gasol

I'll keep you guys posted.

New Trailblazers GM interviewed by the Oregonian.

Image

Smith (Journalist): What convinced you to want to come out of retirement to general manage in the NBA?

Holton (gms names): I've always wanted to. Since leaving the NBA I've been spending a lot of time with my kids but now they're all grown up and don't need me around the house. I figured I might try getting a managing or coaching job then having to go out and find a real one (laughs)

Smith: There were rumors going around you were looking into coaching ncaa ball, fact or fiction?

Holton: Fact, actually. College ball has always fascinated me, hence me staying all 4 years back in the day instead of making the leap to the pros. I just prefer it over the pros. But... and there is a but, I just don't have the right skill to coach. I'm just not one for speeches, tactics, or any other basic skills you need for coaching.

Smith: Who do you think your biggest competion is in the Northwest Division.

Holton: I won't kid you and say "they're all great teams". Definitely the Nuggets, Brand and Wallace proved to be a great combo last year. We'll do our best to meet them with courage when we do. Were not going to underestimate anyone this year.

Smith: As we all know the center position is in dire need of strengthening, no offense to Vlade but he's getting old. Any centers look good?

Holton: I'll tell you when I find them (laughs)

Eli Smith, Oregonian 2043
Blazers season opener is this Wensday in Minneapolis and there home opener is this saturday against the Hawks, see ya then.

I'll try playing the opener against Pierce, Larry Hughes and the rest of the T-wolves tomorrow if possible. Feedback would be appreciated :)
