Trade Talks?

Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant clearly said he wants some new good players in Los Angeles or he wants out. After that Lakers owner Jerry Buss realized that something has to happen. First of all he fired Mitch Kupchak and next day named Earvin "Magic" Johnson as new General Manager. On his first press conference he said that changes will come with him. He told us that his primary targets right now are Jermaine O'Neal, 6'11" power forward from Indiana and one of the greatest point guards ever Jason Kidd. Right after that he said that everybod on the team can be traded except Kobe Bryant, Andrew Bynum and in some cases Lamar Odom. He than answerd on some questions and left on a discussion with players.
Our thought. Trade happening: Yes.

New teammates?

Magic made his words true

Lakers who were looking for a new player to go along with Kobe Bryant made their word true. Lakers sent a package of Kwame Brown, Vladimir Radmanovic, rookie point guard Javaris Crittenton and next year 2nd round draft pick to the Nets for superstar PG Jason Kidd. Kidd said he's very pleased to be in Los Angeles.
"Playing together with best player in the World Kobe Bryant and guys like Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum and more great young players. I really think this team can go deep in the playoffs." said Kidd when comeing off the plane in Los Angeles.
Kobe said for the LA Times that he knew Magic will bring changes.
Only bad thing is that Kidd won't be playing on season opener agaist Phoenix and next game at Golden State because he needs some rest.

Not a Net anymore.

Kobe with a huge game on opening night, Lakers win in OT

(1-0)-----------------------------(0-1)
Image Lakers 125 : 123 Suns Image

Staples Center was full. 20000 people were chearing Lakers, Lakers. Everybody knew that new NBA season has started. And the game began.
Young Andrew Bynum got Lakers the ball. Fisher passed it to Kobe who shot and hitted a three. Suns wanted to win this one and when Barbosa hitted a 3 pointer we were tied at 55 at half time. Suns putted some gas in the 3rd quarter and they had a 9 point led with 1 quarter to go. Nothing went right for the lakers in 4th. Andrew Bynum got fouled out at the start of the quarter and Mihm had 5 fouls already. At that time Ronny Turiaf stepped on. He finished the game with 9 points, 4 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Bryant hitted a lay-up with 9 seconds on the clock to give Lakers 2 point led. But than made a bad foul and putted Bell on the line. He hitted both time and we were going to overtime. Lakers took a fast led in the OT. At the end Kobe hitted some importanat free throws and the game was over.
Kobe finished the game in his style with 54 points, 13 assists, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and a block and with the Player of the game award.

Kobe with a nice dunk to finish a fastbreak.

Lakers loss in another close game

(1-0)---------------------------------(1-1)
Image Warriors 116 : 115 Lakers Image

It was first Lakers road game of the season. And their opponents were Golden State Warriors.
Team that shocked the basketball world last season by eliminateing Dallas in first round of the playoffs.
We were watching very entertaining basketball in the 1st quarter.
Most of the dunks, alley-opps and stuff like that was made by Baron Davis and Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant. Lakers went to the half time with a 6 point led. 3rd quarter started with a nice alley-opp from KB24 to Andrew Bynum. Bynum who finished the game already in the 3rd quarter because of foul troubles again had 6 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks. Warriors caught the Lakers late in 4th. It was tie game with 7 seconds remaining and Stephan Jackson was inbounding the ball when Walton caught the ball pass it to Kobe who pulled up a 3 pointer at the buzzer, but the shot was no good.
And we went to OT, again. Warriors took a fast 8 point led but Lakers caught them. Kobe made a lay-up and he was fouled with 4 seconds remaining. He could tie the game with a free throw, but he missed it. But Odom got the rebound passed it to open Kobe but he missed again.
Kobe said that they lost because they were shoting very bad. He also said that they're looking forward to Friday when Kidd and Brown will finaly play.
Our Player of the game Baron Davis had 31 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks.

Nice dunk by Baron.

Huge win in Kidd's debut

(2-1)------------------------------(1-1)
Image Lakers 131 : 97 Sonics Image

Crowd in Los Angeles went absolutley mad when commentator said:"And here's your PG for Los Angeles Lakers JASON KIDD. In the interview before the game Kidd said he's ready to start this season because he knows it's going to be successfull. When reporter asked him what does he expect from tonights game, he said a win of course.
First ball went to Kidd's hands and he made a sick crossover on Ridnour and hitted a lay-up. Lakers were to good for the Sonics already in the first quarter. Kidd scored 11 of his 21 points in the 1st one. In the 2nd quarter bench got more minutes and even they were to good for the weak Sonics. Only player on the Sonics with good numbers was Delone West who finished with 23pts, 9ast, 3rbs, 3stl and a block. In the 3rd quarter the showbow of Jason Kidd and Kobe Bryant continued. Lakers had amazing 39 point led going in the 4th. At that time Jackson putted in players that don't get a lot of opportunitys. They played well and Lakers won with amaizing 131 : 97. 8th players on the Lakers finished the game with 10 or more points.
Kidd said that the bench was a diffrence maker tonight. Lakers bench scored 56 points while Sonics's 30
Player of the game: Lamar Odom : 18pts, 9rbs, 5ast, 3stl.

One of Kidd's 5 assists. This one on a alley-opp to Bryant.

Seattle wins in another OT game for Los Angeles

(2-1)---------------------------------(2-2)
Image Seattle 117 : 114 Lakers Image

It was 2nd straight game agaist Seattle. This time on north in Key Arena, Seattle. Lakers thought it will be another easy win. But they were underrateing the Sonics.
Sonics came very confidence into the arena. Like nothing happened only 2 days ago.
It was very close game in the first quarter. Lakers got themselves a 3 point led. And they got a proof that Lamar Odom is playing great so far. He finished the quarter with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Jason Kidd shined in the 2nd quarter. Getting 4 steal in this one. He finished the game with a career high 7 steals. 3rd one was very boring quarter. Each team scored 26 in this part of game. Last 12 minutes started much like 3rd quarter. But with 6 minutes left Sonics pushed the tempo. They even took the led. If it wasn't for Bryant and his game tieing 3 pointer in the last second of regulation, Lakers would already lose.
Sonics just contunied what they started in the 4th. They took fast 5 point led and Lakers best player of the day Lamar Odom got fouled out. Los Angeles managed to come to a 3 point game with 1.7 second remaining. Ball went to Kidd's hands who shots it and missed it. At that point Key Arena went mad. Who wouldn't they beat Lakers with the triple threat of Jason Kidd, Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom.
Player of the game was Kevin Durant with 26pts, 8rbs, 2ast, 3stl and 2 blocks.

Rookie Kevin Durant was just to strong for the Lakers.

Lakers win in Staples Center

(2-2)---------------------------------(2-3)
Image Lakers 98 : 96 Minnesota Image

Lakers were looking for their 3rd straight home win coming from Seattle back to Staples Center.
Timberwolves started good and took a 8 point led going in the 2nd quarter. But 2nd quarter was Lakers quarter. They outplayed the Wolves for 17 points in the 2nd. New Laker Trevor Ariza who came from Orlando showed how good he is. He finished the game with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. After Brewer's steal (he had 7 steals) and lay-up at the end of 1st half it was 58 : 49 for the Lakers. As on most of the games Lakers started the 3rd quarter with bench players. Timberwolves outplayed them for 6 points in that section. But in 4th quarter it was all Kidd-Bryant-Odom. Lakers took a big led and even if result shows otherwise, it wasn't a close game. Wolves hitted some 3 pointers in last seconds to get to 2 point game, but than the game was over. Lakers are now looking to win first game on road this time in Portland.
Player of the game: Lamar Odom - 19pts, 10rbs, 3ast, 3stl, 1blk.

Nice tomahawk from Trevor Ariza.

NBA Rumors

NBA RUMORS

Michael Redd being traded?

There's been few rumors that Michael Redd will be traded. Rumors started at the start of the season when Redd punched Charlie Villanueva. We've got informations that those two never had a really good realationship. Redd said its either him or me leaving. GM of the Bucks Larry Harris said that they would ratherly trade Redd than 5 years younger PF Villanueva.
We have searched even more and found out that most posible target are the Indiana Pacers. Those two teams have already traded Royal Ivey and Kareem Rush. Ivey whould take Tinsley's(probably one of the pices in the trade) spot and Rush will be a back up SG in Milwaukee behind MikeDunleavy.
So the trade would be focused on Michael Redd for Jamal Tisley and Dunleavy. Who would be additional pices we don't know.
So will be one of the best shooters in the leauge really traded?
Kepp looking this dynasty and we'll see.

Going somewhere else?

Wow, that´s gonna be big trade. They would make good trio Redd-Granger-O´neal.
I think that Pacers would benefit more from this trade, cuz they already have good PG, Mo Williams, but Dunleavy would fit there pretty good. Only problem for Pacers be, that they have real sucky PG then.

Lakers win their first road game

(1-4)------------------------------------(4-2)
Image Trailblazers 98 : 113 Lakers Image

Lakers were looking for their first road win of the season. After loses in Seattle and Oakland, they were in Portland. Faceing Trailblazers and their young line-up.
Lakers started off good in Portland. Finishing the first quarter with seven point led. Leading the way was young Andrew Bynum who finished the quarter with 7 points, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks. Trailblazer's Brandon Roy shined in the 2nd period. Haveing 14 of Portland's 18 2nd quarter points. He finished the game with 33 points. But only Roy wasn't enough to keep up with Lakers trio Kidd-Bryant-Odom and young bench. Los Angeles went to half time with 12 point led at 42 : 54.
Blazers started 2nd quarter good. Outplaying the Lakers bench. They came to only 5 point deficite when coach Phil Jackson called time out and putted his starters back in. They made a huge run at the end of the quarter and took this quarter with 25 to 19. The game was already over at the start of last 12 minutes, so Lakers played with their bench. Leading the way was Ariza with 11 points.
Lakers won by 15 points at the end. The trio of Kidd-Bryant-Odom finished together with 62 points. Lakers are now comeing back home where they will face strong Pistons.
Our player of the game is again Lamar Odom with 23pts, 9 rbs, 3ast and 2 stl.

Kobe blocks Roy's lay-up attempt.

Well its obvious you put a lot of effort into this, so thats good (Y)

I'd suggest breaking up the text and putting spaces between paragraph breaks since you can't indent. Also I'm guessing you're not a native speaker so that makes things a bit trickier, but you should spend more time proofreading it to the best of your abilities. Also There are just 2 many Laker dynasties right now, maybe another team? Ah well you seem like a big Kobe fan so this might not be possible. Good luck man

Big 4th quarter comeback, Lakers win

(5-2)----------------------------(5-1)
ImageLakers 98 : 96 PistonsImage

November 10th 2006, Staples Center - Los Angeles - California.
Lakers were hosting strong Detroit Pistons, who started the season with 5 wins and 0 losses.

We saw the first suprise of the day, right at the begining of the game. Because Jarvis Hayes was starting the game insteed of Prince.
Lakers head coach Phil Jackson said wow and looked to the Pistons bench as he thought "is he injured".
As we saw later Prince did play some minutes. After the game he told us that it's just a minor injury and he is able to play.

The game began. Rasheed Wallace got the ball to Billups, he stopped at the half court line, looked left and than passed right to open
Rip Hamilton who knocked down an open 15 footer. 1st period finished very tied. Billups hitted a 30 foot shot over Derek Fisher to finish the quarter.

2nd quarter belonged to the Pistons. They were playing great offense or we can just say the Lakers were playing bad defense.
Maxiell came off the bench to score 6 of his 8 points and Hayes outplayed Walton in this section of game.
Rasheed and company were going to locker rooms with a twelve point lead.

After half time both teams played great defense. 5 minutes into the quarter Pistons scored only 4 points and Lakers only 6.
But Lakers still couldn't come close to the Pistons. Jackson tried all the players he had but none seemed like a true weapon.
The bright star was Jason Kidd. Who tied his career best 6 steals after only three quarters.

Faceing a 13 point distinction with only 12 minutes to go, Phil Jackson had no other options but to put his starters in and hope for the miracle.
At that time his superstars Bryant and Kidd stepped up. Kidd broke his stealing record only 2 minutes into the 4th, stealing ball number seven.
And Kobe...well he was just Kobe. Doing the best he knew - scoreing. It was the destiny that this will be 4th game in this season to end
on the one last possesion. The ball went in Kobe's hands he fake left went right pass Hamilton, pull up a shot at the buzzer and it went in.

Kobe was screaming woooow and crowd was going mad. Jason Kidd was very close to quadruple double,
but at the end didn't had double diggits in nothing. Kobe was the of the game - 40pts, 4rbs, 6ast, 5stl, 1blk.

Kidd throws an alley-opp pass to Bryant.

"Mr. Triple-Double" strikes again, Lakers win their 4th straight

(6-2)---------------------------------(2-4)
ImageLakers 120 : 115 GrizzliesImage

November 12th 2006, Staples Center - Los Angeles - California.
Lakers were looking to win their 4th straight game. They were also looking to destroy any remaining doubts
that they are a force to be afraid of. Their opponents were Memphis Grizzlies who started the season 2 and 3.

The reporter asked Kobe Bryant before the game "How can you be so well prepared and focused for each and every game?".
He said "You've got to go into this one game after one game. You can't think what's going to happen tomorow or next week.
You've got to put all your energy into the game. "Thanks for your answers Kobe and good luck on the game."

The game started. There was non defense in the first quarter. Dunks, lay-upps and shoots were just falling into the hoop.
It was something like All-Star game. Kobe scored 12 of his 29 points in this quarter. And we could see already than
that this was just not Kidd's shooting night. He finished the quarter with 2 field goals out of 10. Gay finished the quarter with big 14 points.

In 2nd Lakers just continue what they started in the 1st period. But they were also playing better defense. Scoreing 31 points and
allowing Grizzlies to score only 19 points. Lakers went to the locker rooms with 23 point advantage. Player at the half was Kidd
with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists despite hitting only 5 out of 20 field goals.

Marc Iavaroni must had really made an impact on his players at the half time. They came back in the game full of confidence. And it paid of.
Mike Miller hitted 4 of his 7 threes in the 3rd quarter. They outplayed the Lakers bench(which played whole 3rd quarter) for 14 points
and with Gay's hitted half court shoot at the end of 3rd, they came back to 9 points.

But The Zen Master sended his starters back in at the start of the 4th quarter. And the showtime started again.
As Kidd rebounded the ball(with that rebound he made his first triple-double of the season) and passed it to Bryant on the other side for a dunk.
Lakers lead was back at 16 points with 4 minutes to go. Iavaroni called a time out and Jackson putted his bench back in the game.
Grizzlies hitted some last minute shots, but it was to late to take the victory.

Lakers have won their 4th straight game and are now haveing 4 days off before they host Raptors in Los Angeles.
Player of the game - Jason Kidd - 20pts, 10rbs, 14ast and 3stl.

And a free throw for Ariza.
