Chris Webber named Team Captain

Image

Joe: Hello Chris.
CW: Hey Joe, thanks for inviting me.
Joe: No problem, lets get down to some quick questions.
Joe: What do you think about being recently signed to the young T'Wolves?
CW: When I got my offer from the T'Wolves, I was shocked to hear from them
I thought they were trying to go younger, so why would they sign me? I am
afterall, 34 years old now. But I still think I have a few years in me and I am
excited to start to play for Minnesota.
Joe: What do you think were the reasonings for getting selected to be the
T'Wolves' Team Captain?
CW: I think it has something to do with my expericen, but I really could care
less. I'll just accept my role on this team do what needs to be done and I will
do all I can including motivating my team mates and making a push for the
playoffs.
Joe: Is that a pledge to your fans and T'Wolves fans to make the playoffs this
season?
CW: Yes.
Joe: Thanks for your time today CW.
CW: Thank you, and your welcome.
-Shakes hands- then Webber walks off set.

Good luck man, the more images you have the better. Also use rich text (AKA bold, underline, color, font sizes, etc.) to make it look more interesing! (Y)

nlsc staff,
just a light hint hint
ipb would help a lot during this because it has a true WYSIWYG editor a ability to make TABLES and that YouTube modification that embeds a youtube video in the post using oh LORD is that handy
if yad be willing to switch to IPB ill cut in 50% of the price and get some advertising for the site

Not sure about releasing Blount. I may have let Ratliff go. (12M contract.)

Nice signing in Webber..

And please, give Brewer some decent minutes.

Good luck! (Y)

jonthefon,
Thanks. To be honest I've never played with Minnesota on Live only on NBA 2k4 back in the day. I thought it was time for a change.

Pursuer,
Chris Webber is still one of my favorite NBA players I liked him ever since I first seen him play when I was 7 years old as a Bullet. And I've played with him in basketball video games since 2000. Look out guys for big happenings from Webber.

-km-,
I really felt it was time to release Blount, he didnt seem to be able to give me much on either side of the ball. I know Ratliff's 12 mil contract is kind of  but I feel he brings something to the team, plus in a little scrimmage game he was rebounding coming off of the bench making little turn around jumpers in the post making a few slams and had 4 blocks in a little over 1 QTR of playing time.
I love Webber. xD
I am actually going through a LOT of 1 on 1 matches with Brewer trying to perfect the art of using him, hes giving me difficulties but I'll get it down eventually.

@ALL,
Sadly expecting any game re-caps or previews tonight is unlikely because I am going to take some time with Photoshop to develope some templates for the presentation of this. I'm not too skilled in Photoshop, so any volunteers to help me out a bit? If you can help me at all, give tips, or whatever please PM me with the information.

nice start snark! wish you would've kept Gomes; i know stats-wise he wasn't squat but i'm kind of a softy for the undersized PFs and underdogs in general (ie., that movie, "Rudy")

oh and wish i could help out on the photoshop stuff but 1) my time's kinda tight; 2) i learned it by trial/error on the job; it takes a little ramp-up time but after a while you'll only use what you need and not even bother with the other 75% of the 'features'; if there's something specific you can't figure out, just drop a forum post or PM - anyway, GL man (Y)

Minnesota Looses Season Opener

Close but no cigar, but Minnesota should be celebrating. They were
expected to get blown out by the Big 4 of the Sacramento Kings.
The Nike Player of the Game was awarded to Sacramento's. And the
Under Armor Iron Man award was awarded to Minnesota's Ricky Davis.

The Minnesota Timberwolves came into this game looking like ferocious
beasts, jumping to a 10 point lead in a little over 5 minutes into the first
quarter. Thanks in large deal to solid rebounding by the bigs and a superb
aerial performance by Gerald Green.

But Gerald was soon going to find himself slowing down so when the
first quarter ended he was substituted out, a long with some other
Wolves. By the time Gerald came back in to re-ignite this squads
passions of winning this game, they found themselves at a 24 point
deficit, due largely to Artest, Bibby and Kevin Martin all scoring consistently.

Through the 3rd Quarter of the game and the 4th Quarter of the game,
the Kings maintained their lead, the T'Wolves only ever came within 6
points of the Kings. Untill the last 2 minutes of the game where Gerald
sank back to back 3's and made a dunk or two, and there it was the
Wolves within 3, well sadly the game ended with a Jeff Garcia field goal.

Bad time managment? Bad luck? Bad team rotation? Well all of these
are probably reasons for the Wolves loosing. Will they fix this? We hope.

nbarulez,
Thanks, I think I can win with this team, I just need to make one little roster change. When will it come? Now? Tommorrow? 3 weeks? a Month? I don't know. But it will come.

Dwyane,
Thanks man for checking in, now hopefully you check back in because I'm curious as to your thoughts on my first recap for this dynasty.

3 Wolves become Raptors, 3 Raptors become Wolves.

Minnesota (AP Press) - I don't think I ever seen a team take a season
opening loss as bad as the T'Wolves just did. The Coach has a meeting
with GM of the team right after the game had a plan on a new system.
The Minnesota GM called up Toronto and landed a deal, that left some
Toronto fans in disgust and others applauding the deal.

Minnesota sends away PG-Sebastian Telfair(74),SG-Randy Foye(75),SF-Corey Brewer(75)
Toronto sends away PG-TJ Ford(78),SG- Anthony Parker(76),PG- Manuel Calderon(70)

Who the hell si Aaron Parker and Manuel Caldero for that matter?
This would be a huge steal in a trade if telfair wasn't so overrated inur version, and if Aaron PArker and Manuel Calderon had that high of ratings?
good luck, lets win game 2!

EDIT: OOOOH you meant Anthony Parker and Jose Calderon.... lol

nbarulez,
Its not that big of a steal overalls are higher for the Toronto Players I got because they are older.

Anthony Parker- 32
TJ Ford- 24
Jose Manuel Calderon- 26
I gave up a Rookie, a 2nd year and a 4th year.

And the whole $$ thing I took on more on my CAP then I threw back at them.

MVP.,
Brewer just does not fit into my playing style, I like Wingmen who can shoot the deep ball. Foye is too much of a tweener for my likings hes not equipped enough to run the point like I do. I run a offense similar to Golden State in real life, but a bit slowed down. Lots of 3's and Dunks.

I think this move was the best for the Minnesota Franchise, if I am wrong...well remember when Orlando traded Ben Wallace for Grant Hill? xD Something like that I s'pose.

I didn't say you ripped off the computer (who am to talk? lol) I just said that based on real life Telfair's raitng would be much lower, so there you would be getting a huge upgrade at the point good luck with this(Y)
