Cleveland Cavaliers
What is this?
Feel free to comment/suggeste/ask questions guys. If your curious as to what this is its a Dynasty from NBA Live 07 w/SUM Mod NLSC Rosters a few other Graphics Mods and a custom AIACT, which all together turns the game from [expletive] to KICK A$$. I will balance my teams salary, budget, deal with player negotiations, team rumors, trade players basically anything a GM/Owner does with a NBA team in real life I will be doing here. Even player scouting. But on top of all that I'll be playing the games, and from time to time...I'll go into Coach Mode smile.gif. Enjoy guys, this is going to be fun...trust me.

I am going to keep this as bull---- free as possible. I don't like any one team enough to do a dynasty with them, so I found out a solution. Fantasy Draft. I had Pick #4. Amazingly Lebron James was available first round, snatched him as he is in my opinion best player to build a team around (look at Cleveland's success last season). Then from there I held back my temptations on the higher ranked players to aquire players I like in real life and in the game. Kleiza would be a exception, not sure if I have ever watched him play in real life. The second round came around I passed on Dwight Howard and Jermaine O'Neal to snatch up Pau Gasol. 3rd Round passed up on the likes of Andre Iqudola, Carlos Boozer, Antawn Jamison, Rip Hamilton to snatch up Greg Oden. In the fourth round, I chose Chris Wilcox, I like his athleticism and poise for the ball he will come in good use. Round 5 came around and I started to question this holding back my temptations on getting the highest rated guys available, snatched up who I thought was best available Center, Andris Beidrins. Then in Round 5 and 6 I solidified my starters with rookies Marco Belinelli and Acie Law IV. Then snatched up Kleiza, Bowen, and Blake. Forfeiting Pick 11 and 12. I'm looking forward to doing this dynasty, and I hope someone has fun following it. This will be my first time doing this but I will try hard.

Team Lineup
C- Oden 78/Biedrins 72
PF-Gasol 86/Wilcox 76
SF-James 96/Kleiza ?68?
SG-Belinelli 71/Bowen 69
PG-Law 70/Blake 69

awesome man! nice start (Y) and damn, props to you for holding out and NOT snaggin' D-Ho, Igoudala and some of the other names you mentioned; that's some serious willpower (i wouldn't have been able to resist)

that lineup is great - nice balance, growth potential, not too overpowering and lots of interesting characters (plus the Dubs are my hometown team so with two Warriors on board, I'm sold); looking forward to seeing who the other teams are composed of and how this progresses; anyway GL and welcome to the bizarro world of dynasty hoops

This lineup is not stacked as it is appeared for nbarulez. Actually interesting lineup as BD5 mentioned, but i would trade Wilcox for a better guard. So Kleiza will be able to come off the bench as PF and Bowen as SF.

BoomDizzle#5,
Yeah I know what you mean holding out on them guys was very difficult. Thanks for the warm welcome and good luck. Good luck to you as well.

Marquis,
Thank you for agreeing that this lineup is not stacked, I found it interesting too. As far as trading Wilcox--I doubt it, he's like one of my favorite players in the game. But I might toy around with Kleiza at PF and Bowen at SF from time to time depending on the opposing team's lineup.

Also, November Schedule released [check up at the top].
Every month I will replace the Schedule Section with the CURRENT month's schedule, and the Game Recap will be a running list of games from all months.

I do hope to keep injuries on the low, but if they happen, I have a lot of faith in my back-ups. Well keep the look out guys for updates, they will come shortly.

Player Matchups

When looking at tonight's game's Player Match-ups a few questions arise.
Can Bargnani keep up with Oden's passionate performances and physical play?
Can Gasol keep on Donyell's toes around the perimeter?
Can Posey get past a Top 5 perimeter defender in the league in Bruce Bowen?
Can Joe Johnson contain King James' aerial attack?
Can the Rookie, Acie Law keep Veteran Guard Steve Francis in his recent slump, or will we see the reason why we used to call him Steve the Franchise Francis all over again?
Well only time will tell as this game goes to tip off.

Key Matchup
What key matchup is most likely to decide the outcome of this game?
ImageVSImage
Can Joe Johnson contain King Jame's aerial attack?
Can Joe contain Lebron, period?
If not, watch out for Joe Johnson to be able to elevate his Wizards, and cast the Cavaliers into a spell.

Expected Outcome
Cavaliers 92
Wizards 87

excellent pre-game man! and really useful in a fantasy draft when you're not sure who to expect from the opposition
off to a great start and look forward to the recap (Y)

Donyell Marshall's Clutch Performance
Clevland--AP

This game was like a trip to Cedar Point. The game was jam-packed with roller coaster rides, everything from rides for children--to rides that made the world feel like it was coming to a sudden end.
The children's ride was the Cavaliers' performance tonight, loosing by 1 point in a 4th Quarter thriller. The world ending ride was Donyell Marshall's vintage-like 4th Quarter buzzer beater 3 point shot, the shot heard around the world, well at least in Cleveland.
This game did not seem like a season opener, more a long the lines of Game 7 of the NBA Finals. The level of competitiveness was raw but skilled. My finals words to Cleveland is--"Close--but no cigar."

GAME AWARDS

JORDAN Player of the Game
Donyell Marshall (WAS): 14 Points, 13 Rebounds, 2 Steals
This guy stepped in for Washington did what needed to be done and then proceeded to shoot the winning shot to cast that spell on Cleveland, can Cleveland rebound?

DIAMOND in the DIRT Performance
Linas Kleiza (CLE): 33 Points, 7 Rebounds, 1 Steal
This guy stepped into the game raw near half time, went off leading his team to a 12 point advantage over Washington towards the middle of the 4th quarter, steller performance.

P.S.- Next game I will go further into depth of each individuals player's accomplishments in the game just trying to get my feet wet still. Despite our last second loss, I'm still happy with my team's performance.

BoomDizzle#5,

Player Matchups

(Center) A. Biedrins vs S. Hawes --- A. Biedrins in my opinion and in many other eyes is the more developed all-around Center of the two, S. Hawes is more of a B. Miller type Center who would flourish easier at PF assuming he was more athletic.
(Forward) G. Oden vs H. Warrick --- Greg Oden, rookie, stand out from Ohio State Buckeyes is a go getter. Hakim Warrick on the other hand is more like the little train that could.
(Forward) L. James vs P. Stojakovic --- The King (James) better step up his defensive game against Peja or Peja will be having tons of nice looks from all over the court, Peja is STILL on of the premier shooters in the NBA.
(Guard) B. Bowen vs C. Mobley --- Can Cuttino get past Bowens' defense? We doubt it.
(Guard) S. Blake vs M. James --- The Poor Man's Steve Nash vs well Mike James, um, I give the nod to up-and-comer Steve Blake.

Key Player2Player Matchup

Expected Outcome
Cavaliers 99
Spurs 90

------------------------------------------------

LeBron goes for 40.
Cleveland: 98, San Antonio: 96

This game was a nail-biter until LeBron went off for 40 points. Greg Oden, Cuttino Mobley both had dominant performances. Closer then expected. Cuttino busted his @$$ going off for 43 points but it was not enough to save his Spurs from a triumphant defeat by the Comeback Cavaliers. Cleveland was at one point down 23 points and came back due to King James' and his teams' strong 2nd Half play. Rumor has it that King James will be playing the 1 spot next game, we will see how that change unfolds.

GAME AWARDS

JORDAN Player of the Game
LeBron James (CLE): 40 Points 4 Rebounds 2 Assists 3 Steals
"40 points tonight, double double tommorrow"- Greg Oden

DIAMOND in the DIRT Performance
Cuttino Mobley: 43 Points 5 Rebounds 2 Assists 1 Steal

Player Matchups
(Center) Greg Oden vs Brad Miller- If Oden can stop Brad's combination of footwork and shooting range, Oden will be successful. But can Miller restrict Greg Oden? We don't think so.
(Forward) Pau Gasol vs Antonio McDyess- Gasol can limit McDyess offensively and on the boards, but McDyess is past his prime and can't restrict Gasol.
(Forward) Bruce Bowen vs Desmond Mason- Can Mason get past Bowen's stiff D?
(Guard) Marco Belinelli vs Kobe Bryant- Can Kobe stay focused on Marco or will he be steering off path trying to contain LeBron?
(Guard) LeBron James vs Kirk Hinrich- LeBron runs over Hinrich like Hinrich is a Mini-Cooper, and LeBron is a train. Expect a big performance by Lebron.

Expected Outcome
Cavaliers 104
Bobcats 99

LeBron James new Cleveland Cavaliers point guard.

This was a rather shocking upset for the newest expansion team the Charlotte Bobcats. But, it turned out to be a enormous momentum gain for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Charlotte Bobcats are among the league elite, well they seemed to be among the league elite. We will just have to see how the season unfolds for both teams, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Charlotte Bobcats. There are rumors floating around the locker room about a possible trade that will send a Cavalier packing, I wonder what the Cleveland Cavaliers organization has up their sleeves. Maybe a rabbit?

GAME AWARDS

JORDAN Player of the Game
LeBron James (CLE): 25 Points 10 Assists 3 Rebounds 3 Steals
He is the official new starting PG, enough said. The coaches were very impressed, even Sam Vincent.

DIAMOND in the DIRT Performance
Bruce Bowen (CLE): 23 Points 7 Rebounds 3 Assists 3 Steals

I recall LeBron starting off his rookie season as a point guard, but he exploded offensively after the Cavs acquired McInnis and used him at the point. I still like LeBron as a point guard though since I'm a definite fan of big, multi-faceted players playing the point guard position.
