Dreamed Start for Celtics

This is the start every Celtics Fan would dream for the 06/07 season. The week started with a really even game versus Hornets, when a great 4th quarter (won by Boston by 10) was the key to win the match. Paul Pierce scored 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Gerald Green scored 21, but shooting a great 8/13 FG. Chris Paul 21 points were not enough to beat Boston.
Pistons visited Boston expecting an easy win, but, same as the previous game, Celtics showed their corauge in the last quarter, winning it by 12 points. Paul Pierce was the player of the match, scoring 30 points and 7 rebounds. Delonte West had a good night, scoring 25 points. The surprise of the night was Rasheed Wallace shooting only 3/5 FG, when McDyes shot 6/14 FG.
Boston dominated Washington during the whole game, specially after the 39-19 2nd quarter. Pierce had another great game, scoring 30 points and, surprisingly, dont grabbing rebounds. Arenas 31 points and 8 asists were important for Wizards, but he shot only 3/13 3 pointers. This night, Celtics had a horrible 4th quarter, scoring only 17 points.

Celtics 5-1 Record surprises everyone

Celtics great streak continued with week, winning 2 games (versus Bobcats and Jazz) at Boston, and only loosing with Cavaliers at Cleveland.
In game versus Charlotte, Celtics couldnt advantage them until the 4th quarter, were they played good basketball, winning it by 8 points (that was the final difference). Paul Pierce's 31 points were the key to win the game, but Wally Szczerbiak's 10/11 FT (most of them in the last minutes) were important to take the final 8 points advantage. Both Jefferson and perkins had a good game (Jefferson: 27 points 9 rebounds / Perkins: 13 points 14 rebounds). In Bobcats, only Felton and Wallace played, it seemed that the other players were absent to the match. Felton scored a high career 35 points and Gerald Wallace finished with 27 points.
Jazz thought they were going to have an easy game at Boston, but Celtics won the game 109-102. Paul Pierce was the player of the game for 5th consecutive time, with 31 points and 8 rebounds. The team shot a decent 6/14 in 3 pointers, which was important to win the match. Boozer was unstoppable for Jefferson, scoring 26, while Perkins suffered with Okur, who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Celtics better player rotation made the difference: (Celtics Bench Scoring: 33 / Jazz Bench Scoring: 12)
Visit to Cleveland was known to be a difficult one, but the only time Cavaliers showed their superiority was in the 2nd quarter (17-33 lost by Boston). Lebron James superstar abilities were too much for Boston. He scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Ilgauskas was good companion for him, recording a double-double (13 points and 10 rebounds). Also was Larry Hughes (17 points) and Sasha Pavlovic (11 points). Paul Pierce finished with 24 points, while Szczerbiak did it with 20. Supportes recriminated Doc Rivers that he kept Olowokandi in the court too much minutes (he played 24 minutes), because he shot a poor 1/6 FG.

Looks very very nice so far. Keep up the quality work. Celts are a good team to work with. The young guys are there, just need to get it all working and for them to develop further.

2 and 2, not a bad deal for Celtics

Boston wanted to continue in the winning path in a week when they would play 3 games at home and only 1 at road.
Orlando was an easy rival for Celtics, and more if Paul Pierce is inspired like in that match. He scored 33 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and stole 6. Delonte West also had an excelent night, finishing it with 23 points, and a great FG % (7/13 FG, 5/7 3PT). Wally Szczerbiak was a good substitute, bringing 14 points from the bench. Dwight Howard recorded a double-double for Magic (19 points and 10 rebounds), but it was not enough to beat an inspired team as Celtics.
Celtics continued playing great basketball versus Pacers. "The Truth" had another enourmous game, scoring 36 points and 5 rebounds. West's double-double was important for Boston (16 points and 11 asists), same with Jefferson's (17 points and 12 rebounds). Wally Szczerbiak have converted into a great sixth man. This time he scored 16 points, shooting 6/10 FG. Jermain O'Neal was difficult to stop, because he finished the night with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Pacers starting five had a good game, but the bench didnt bring good backup, scoring only 15 points.
Blazers visit to Boston was suposed to be an easy win for an intoned team as Celtics. Maybe this feeling was the key of the 24-35 1st quarter lost. Pierce finished with 30 points, but shooting the same number of FG. Szczerbiak had another good game coming from the bench, with 19 poiints and 3 asists. Zach Randolph was unstoppable (another big man who destroyed Boston), finishing the night with 28 points and 12 rebounds.
Paul Pierce had his 1st bad game of the season against clasic rivals New York Knicks. He only scored 19 points, with a bad FG % (7/21 FG and 1/3 3PT). Delonte West and kendrick Perkins scored 48 points between them, and Szczerbiak had another good game, scoring 13 points. Quentin Richardson and Stephon Marbury were the keys for Knicks to win the match (Richardson: 25 points / Marbury: 21 points and 7 asists).

Great dynasty, and great presentation. It's pretty damn funny how you started off so strong then lost to two of the worst teams in the nba.

Great looking dynasty! Presentation is very clean! It looks great. Nice start to the season also, a playoff run looks like a possibility.

Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the season goes....

Celtics 10-3 is the best start in years

Week number 3 finished with 2 losts, so Boston wanted to return to the winning streak. This week was not a difficult one, with games versus Bobcats, Knicks and Bucks.
Visit to Charlotte seemed to be an easy one, and in fact it was. Celtics were more than Bobcats, and in the 3th quarter they could show their superirity by winning it 34-17. Paul Pierce had another wonderful night, scoring 36 points, 5 rebounds and 6 asists. Al Jefferson contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds. The team shot an excellent 5/11 in 3 point shoots, what makes a .455 &. Emeka Okafor played well for Bobcats, recording a double-double (24 points and 10 rebounds).
Knicks went to Boston, where Celtics wanted to take revenge from last week lost against this team. This was not another incredible performance of Paul Pierce, but 7 Celtics scored more than 10 points, what shows great team work. Pierce scored 21 points, while Gerald Green made 15, shooting 4/8 FG. Telfair and Szczerbiak brought 29 points from the bench (Szczerbiak: 13 / Telfair: 16). Al Jefferson finished the game with 11 points and 13 rebounds. In Knicks, Eddy Curry dominated the paint, with 15 points and the same number of rebounds, added to 2 blocks.
Game versus Bucks (at Milwaukee) was a good chance to show how powerful Celtics are, visiting a good team. 1st quarter was entirely dominated by Boston, winning it 37-21. "The Truth" had a good game, scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 7 asists. Al Jefferson finished a nice week, recording another double-double, this time with 18 points and 13 points. Wally Szczerbiak has established as an excellent sixth man, bringing 10 points in 16 minutes from the bench. Michael Redd finished the night with 25 points and 7 rebounds, but it wasnt enough to beat this season surprise team Boston Celtics.

Celtics finished a great month with a though lost

A win over Nets would be the best way to finish a great month, but a bad game for Boston made this wish impossible.
Paul Pierce had a horrible game, despite scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. He shot only 8/34 FG. The team had a .143 % in 3 pointers, thanks to Pierce's 0/7 and West's 1/5. Nets great 3 (Kidd, Carter and Jefferson) were unstoppable for Celtics. Carter finished the game with 25 points; Jason Kidd did it with 17 points and 7 asists. Jefferson was named player of the game: He scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.

Great month review. Only 4 losses in the 1st month is good, and even better for me that one of those losses was to Blazers

Couple of surprizes in the West. Portland are 8th in the conference with a 7-9 record, and Dallas with a 4-11 record! WTF?!?!?! And Bobcats at 10-5 in the East with the 6th spot, that is a fair effort. Also Roy got a well deserved ROTM.

Can't wait for December. This team looks promising (Y)

1 and 1, not a bad result

Celtics expected to win at least 1 game in this week. Bobcats were suposed to be an easy rival for them, and visit to Chicago was a though parade.
Surprisingly, Charlotte played good basketball, making the game an even one. Boston could advantage them only in the 2nd quarter, winning it by 11 points, wich was the key to finish the night with a win. Paul Pierce had another amazing game, scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds. Besides that, he's not shooting well from the 3 point line (2/8 3PT). Wally Szczerbiak scored 13 points in 14 minutes great numbers for a substitute. It seems that the coach has found his ideal function as the sixth man of the team. Bobcats played well basketball, but a horrible 2nd quarter made them loose the game. Gerald Wallace scored 27 points, while Emeka Okafor recorded a double-double (17 points and 16 rebounds).
As said before, visit to Chicago was a though one. Anyway, it was another even game, but Celtics could not find good shots during the 4th quarter. Boston finished the night with 29/83 FG and 3/19 3PT. Pierce didnt repeat his last performances; he scored 22 points, with a horrible 10/32 FG and an even worse 1/10 3PT. Delonte West could not score any FG, all his 3 points came from FT (0/11 FG / 3/3 FT). Andres Nocioni was the player of the game, due to his 23 points and 10 rebounds, one of his best performances in the season. Big Ben Wallace grabbed 15 rebounds (5 of them offensive ones), while Luol Deng scored 17 coming from the bench.

Regarding the monthly recap, Looks awesome as great work with that, dynasty is going good also good to see Detroit Up there once again.

Now regarding this week, Great work 11-5 sounds good, A bit of form drop in that week but Pierce continues to kill the oppposition he is a superstar, also great work by Jefferson who is averaging a double-double. (Y)

Trade Rumours

Due to the incredible season they're having, Celtics are thinking in being a serious contender for a playoffs spot. Taking that objective, General Manager Danny Ainge talked with coach Doc Rivers about bringing a quality substitute SF, so Paul Pierce can rest while a good player is in his place.
Principal candidate is Phoenix's Jalen Rose, an experienced SF, with good 3 point shooting and who's in last year of contract, so Celtics can evaluate the possibility of retaining him during the off season.
Candidates to leave the team: Scalabrine, Powe and Gomes.
You'll have news about this trade during the next hours.

This is interesting i wonder who will come, Doesn't Wally play SF if so don't make a move because he is playing like a star sixth man maybe even look at a Peja or possibly Butler or maybe even Ellis :D

good luck with finding someone (Y)

Wally is sharing the SG position with Gerald Green.
Gerald Green: 60%
Wally Szczerbiak: 40%

Celtics destroyed Suns in a great week

Game versus Memphis was ideal to renew team's confidence. But the game was not as easy as expected, Pierce scored a layout with 2 seconds remaining to win it. Pierce scored 26 points, shooting 11/20 FG. Perkins and Jefferson work was the key to win the match. In offensive, they contributed with 22 points between them; In defense, besides making Gasol dissapear from the court, they grabbed 25 rebounds. Perkins also finished with 3 blocks. Doc Rivers is pleased with Gerald Green's work; He's scoring an average of 10 points, but shooting a few shots per game. This time, he finished the night with 16 rebounds (4/9 FG, 2/4 3PT, 3/3 FT) and 6 asists. As said before, Gasol had a horrible offensive game, scoring 15 points, with a 7/23 FG.
Suns were known to be an extremely difficult rival for Celtics, but Boston played great basketball to beat them by 24 points.
The 2nd and 4th quarter were determinant: 2nd Quarter: 32-17 / 4th Quarter: 28-14
Paul Pierce had another incredible night, scoring 35 points and 11 asists. He's leading the team to a playoffs spot, something that everyone didnt believe before the season. Perkins and Green were also important for the team: Perkins finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Green scored 16, shooting 5/7 FG and 6/8 FT. For the Suns, Stoudamire recorded a double-double, with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Visit to New jersey was important if Celtics wanted to be the division leaders, but an inspired Vince Carter was too much for them. He finished with 30 points (most of them in the 4th quarter) and 8 rebounds. Jason Kidd contributed with a double-double, scoring 18 points and giving 10 asists; Maurice Williams brought 16 points from the bench. Pierce scored 29 points, while Jefferson finished with 23 points. Perkins was important in the defense, grabbing 17 rebounds and scoring 11 points.
Celtics dominated Nets during the whole game, but, during the 4th quarter, VC got inspired and scored from all angles. That, added to a horrible Celtics FG %, made them loose the match.
