This should be good. However, I think that you should just use the 2006 playoff rosters. Having new rosters without the draftees would be unrealistic imo.

After the disappointment that was last season, you should just rewrite history, and make them not blow it. ;)

Well, I guess if I were you, I would sim 2005-2006, keep CPU trades OFF, and use current rosters. It will be the same, but with different rookies.

OFF SEASON
Championship Victory

After winning the championship not many believe that the mighty pistons will repeat, although just 10 days after the championship win over Memphis team captains Rasheed Wallace and Chauncey Billups had this to say “Now that we’ve had enough time to get over the victory our next goal is to repeat and prove the critics wrong.” In total pistons where extremely rapped that they got over the line two games to one, especially
Finals MVP Rasheed Wallace.

Image

Re- Signing period
After Tayshaun Prince once again had a great year the Detroit pistons resigned him for 6 years at almost 9 million a year.
The pistons also resigned big men Dale Davis and Nazr Muhammad to keep experience and height coming off the bench.
The pistons also kept ‘FLIP’ Murray at the team because his consistent games off the bench which where a major reason why pistons took home the championship.
Although the pistons did a lot of resigning unfortunately Lindsey Hunter was cut from the team due to the fact that the pistons want to revitalise some youth at the PG spot.

The NBA draft

1st round
In the draft with the 30th the pistons took a projected top ten pick by the name of R. HSU after the draft flip Saunders and the board said, “we were initially trying to pick a PG but unfortunately we didn’t get a good enough pick and when a top ten prospect comes up at 30 there was no way we were going to let him go.”

2nd round
UNBELIEVLY the pistons got a TOP 20 prospect in the 2nd round this was uncalled of the pistons board were amazed and jumped straight at Evans who said
“I’m delighted to be a piston I love were they’re going and I want to be a part of it, for 1 second I thought I wasn’t going to get picked thank you pistons.’
Overall the pistons were rapped with there draft and are delighted were the franchise is going.

Free agent period
Although the pistons were restricted for money they got a valuable pick up in Nakamura a 6’7 SF with a good shooting capacity. Nakamura talked on the signing
“I am extremely grateful to be given an opportunity to play NBA and I will do my best to get a repeat for the pistons.”
Later flip commented that they signed him because they struggled to find a solid SF off the bench and they wanted to add more shooting to the team.

Breaking news- Charlotte have just signed big pick up drew Gooden from the free agency to add to there already powerful bench.

RETIRED
Shocking news Gary Payton today announced he is retiring from the game for personal commitments and to be with his family.

Trading Period
Pistons target PG- today the pistons have announced that they are trying to get PG Jameer Nelson, the pistons have now been talking to the magic about a trade involving new rookie Evans (64 overall) and Carlos Delfino (62 overall) for Jameer Nelson (72 overall), after a few the days the magic have replied and the pistons are thrilled with the outcome and are welcoming Jameer to the training courts as we speak.
Image

Hiring staff
Pistons only needed an assistant coach and straight away looked to improve there trademark (Defence), The pistons offered L. Eisley a 1 yr 635k contract being a A+ defensive specialist the reason and Eisley left Detroit stranded rejecting there offer and forcing them to keep searching. The pistons next targeted S. Royal an all-rounded assistant coach but with a great knowledge of the offence and the ability to get rapid improvement within the players, the piston offered a 3 yr 675k contract in which Royal happily accepted.

Training camp
During training camp the pistons saw progress in…
 Antonio mcdyess- mid range shooting and 3 point shooting
 Nazr Muhammad’s- Free throw shooting
 Jason Maxell’s- free throws shooting and three point shooting
 Rick Hsu’s- Offensive awareness and dunking
 Tayshaun Princes- Free throw shooting and ball handling
 Jameer nelson- 3 point shooting
 Chauncey Billups- mid range shooting

Summary
After one of the best off-seasons in a while for the pistons they were extremely happy and believe all they’ve done from last years championship is improve and add skill. “But obviously we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves.” Said Flip Saunders and Chauncey Billups.
Many other teams have had great progress especially many young sides like charlotte, Memphis, Utah and the hornets. Overall should be a good challenge and hopefully we can be there holding up the trophy when it’s all done and said.

This looks pretty good for a first dynasty. The Offseason is a little vague since no other teams are mentioned, and the roster should also be on the first post. Aside of that, I like it. Can't wait for the first game.

Also, Jameer Nelson was a great pickup. BIllups is in his 30's, and Nelson will be a great successor.

Breaking News

Trade
Just Five days through the season and pistons are already improving there roster. After Dale davis and Nazr had switched rotation positions which places Dale davis on the injured reserve and activates Nazr Muhammed to some serious minutes at Back up center, The speculation was that Dale davis was furious and immediatley demanded a trade. Straight away the pistons looked for a defensive source and with Alonzo Mourning also wanting a trade it looked like a trade in the making. Everything looked like it fitted so the pistons offered philidelphia dale davis for Alonzo Mourning but yet they were not satisfied and demanded more maybe something to strengthen there inside game. Just 5 hours after there first attempt was declined another proposal was sent and as a result of this....

Detroit aquire- Alonzo mourning
Philidelphia aquire- Dale Davis and Ricky Hsu

Mourning in Detroit? That's good, though I see him retiring by the end of this season or at most the season after that..

Summary
The pistons got of to a magnificent start scoring the first 8 points then taking a 11-3 in which Webber had 8. The pistons dominated play but couldn’t put it on the scoreboard as the Timber Wolves chipped away at the lead. Garnett kept the wolves going then they took an 8-0 run into the 1st break to make it a even ball game at 23 a piece.

In the second quarter the pistons bench got going, everyone was clicking and then Jameer Nelson dished to Mourning for a gigantic dunk to give the palace a taste of what the pistons recruited them for.
When it looked like nothing could get worse for the wolves, Murray got going hitting consecutive three pointers as mourning blocked KG at the other end. The pistons starers re-entered and ensured pistons held there 6 point lead going into the half (54-48).

In the second half Detroit only looked like improving as Rasheed and Billups teamed up for 7 assists, 20 points and 6 boards. After the bench came on and did some serious damage Wolves trailed by 9 going into the last (74-65).

The pistons were looking great and they just needed there bench to cap it off for them, But Minnesota weren’t about to give up, it was bucket for bucket with prince the only starter on the court continuously getting buckets until the T-Wolves got three consecutive shots in and reduced it to just one point. By then it was time to foul but the experience and skill of Chauncey Billups hit 8 straight free throws to get the pistons a 7 point win but more importantly a 1-0 start.

Recruits
The pistons had four players playing there 1st pistons game; everyone except Nakamura stepped up and played a great game, here’s some of there stats:
o Webber had a great match scoring 14 points (12 in the first half) and grabbing five boards.
o Jameer Nelson also had a solid performance off the bench dishing out 3 assists and adding 5 points to go with that.
o Alonzo mourning was a great contributor for the pistons when they needed a lift scoring 6 points and getting a crucial block on Kevin Garnett.

wow, that is a very nice and informative recap. looking forward to more. i can tell that this is going to be a very nice dynasty story, and i hope that this continues for many seasons (Y)

ok i have some suggestions to make it better......Edit the 1st post in this topic and include in it: your current roster, win loss record. you should really post season transactions, current injuries, current league leaders. umm...team highs!! such as highest individual records(points, rebounds .etc), and largest team score lowest team score, biggest wins ans losses .etc........and more that i cant think of.

what do u think about those ideas??

Great recap. Looks like you put lots of effort into it. After each game, you should post that it has been updated in the title. Perhaps post the team's record, and the last team you played. (i.e. Pistons (1-0) vs. Timberwolves)

Game summary
Charlotte came flying out the blocks and pistons had no answers early with there defence being the main reason. Then it just got worse for the pistons Billups had to leave the game with two early fouls when we were just 2:30 through the game. Just when it looked like charlotte had the game under control, Hamilton got hot hitting 2 consecutive shots and ignited an inspiring 15-4 run which saw Nakamura score his first ever points in the NBA. Due to the run the pistons went into the break just two points down with there head held high.

As the second began charlotte re-stamped there authority coming out with a flurry of points until the pistons finally found there touch getting basket after basket and more importantly shutting down a hot Felton who already had 13 points. In the last couple of minutes the pistons went to there bench to finish of the half but it was a poor move as the bobcats but mainly Black shot the lights out and finished the quarter leading 40-35.

Detroit Player at the half- Chris Webber 9 points, 2 boards
Charlotte player at the half- Felton 13 points, 1 steal, 1 assist

The pistons came out on a 7-0 run with Wallace and Billups again hot in the 3rd but bobcats quickly regained the lead with a 6-0 run to put it back out to 4. Both teams went basket for basket with Billups and Wallace putting up duo double figures looking a lot like Stockton and Malone. Felton still dominating pistons with no answer for him but Wallace and Billups firing and playing great games, the piston kept the 5 point lead until the last couple of minutes when they started fouling and Billups started hitting clutch free throws going 11-12 from the line for all his points and the pistons ended with a 6 point win 88-82

Nice win and recap! However, I notice something that occurred both here and in your first recap. Versus Minny: picture of Jaric posted, but you said Terrell was starting PG. Also, Jelani McCoy's pic was Kwame Brown. Then, I don't know if this is exactly correct, but I don't know if the Pic you have vs CHA is Kandi...
