Minnesota Wins on Opening Day

Minnesota 81 - San Antonio 76

Game Summary
The first half started with Minnesota going on an 8-2 run. San Antonio played great defense to not allow it to get any larger. The Timberwolves were winning at halftime by 5 points.
The second half San Antonio was ready for revenge. Tim Duncan played amazing defense as he lead the team in blocks. With 28.2 seconds left Minnesota was down 56-58. Garnett and Jaric doubled team Spurs guard Tony Parker and stole it. Luckily for the Spurs, Duncan was there to try and stop the play but ended up blocking Garnett an committing a foul. Garnett sank both of his Freethrows and tied the game at 58. With 5.3 seconds remaining in the game, Bruce Bowen hit a 3-pointer. The Wolves thought they were out of it. With 1.3 Left, Marko Jaric, who started on the bench, threw up a fadeaway three and tied the game once again.
"When that when in I [was] amazed. This was what I needed to get a starting position." Said Jaric after the fourth quarter. In overtime, San Antonio went on a 6-0 lead by Tony Parker, who lead the Spurs with 26 points. Then Marko went to work. He scored almost all of the Wolves points in Overtime. He finished with 25 points, 10-12 shooting, and 5-6 from behind the arch. Jaric brought the lead back into Minnesota's possession. Jaric's 3-pointer with 24 seconds remaining gave them aa75-74 edge. With less than 15 seconds left Ginobili missed an open 3 and then garnett grabbed 1 of his 8 rebounds of the night. Later the Spurs kept fouling Minnesota and ending up losing the game.

Timberwolves Win Home-Opener

Miami 49 - Minnesota 74

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Miami Heat. The first quarter brought trouble for Miami as the Minnesota Scoring Trio (Garnett, Davis, Jaric) went to work. After the first quarter Minnesota had a 20-9 lead. Ricky Davis had 6 points, Garnett had 6 points and 3 rebounds, and Marko Jaric with 8 points and 2 assists. In the second, Minnesota was unstoppable shooting over .750 in the quarter. Garnett had 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks at halftime. Jaric also contributed with 10 points, 2 steals, and 2 assists. The struggling Heat just couldn't find there rythym. "We just lost track of what was goin' on [in the game]" Said Wade at halftime. The third quarter stayed steady with Miami 37 points and Minnesota 51. In the fourth, Minnesota exploded as well as Garnett, who was 16-17 on the night. Garnett was the Player of the Game with 32 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Jaric finished with 15 points, 5 steals, and 3 dimes. The Timberwolves are 2-0 on the season.

Edit your sliders. I mean, 49 points? I don't know about that...
