Why is the sim quarter length only 5 mins??

Wow, I can't play the game for 8 minutes each time and then get through a Dynasty mode. How much time do you usually spend on a "year" in your dynasties?

Dude 8 is nothing a lot of us play 12mins and keep regular dynasties going
