October 7, San Antonio - The San Antonio Spurs hired Marty Bettman as their assistant coach in the coming season. Bettman's contract was worth 1.15 million for 2 years.
Dion Waller was also hired as the team trainer. He was offered 724 thousand for 1 year. He is a specialist in arm and leg injuries.
Saul Baldwin, on the other hand, was hired as the team's scout. He works in Africa at present. He was offered 458 thousand for 1 year.
"I'm expecting our new staff members to help bigtime in the team," said Gregg Popovich.

Nov. 3, Los Angeles - Amare Stoudemire suffered a torn achilles tendon in their game against the Lakers. He will be out for 10 weeks. The Lakers defeated the Suns in that game 95-76.
