3 Team Trade

Postby King James #23 on Tue Jan 24, 2006 9:26 am

[24th Of January, 06]
A disgruntled Lamar Odom walked out on Kobe & the lakers and this time it was for good. He was traded once again to Golden State for Mike Dunleavy & another no name filler for a Lamar Odom who just wanted to get the hell out of LA and Devean George was happy enough to tag along now leaving Kobe more out of depth and possibly making Kobe shoot 50+ shots a game.In part 2 of the 3 team trade Ron Artest was sent packing to Golden State for Lamar Odom & Devean George and Ron for once was actually happy:
"Well at least i aint going to have to put up with Stephen $#@!$% Jackson no more!", Mike Dunleavey was heard saying "Im RICH BIACH!"

ImageImageImage
Artest takes his rap game to Golden State. Mikey D is going to be Kobe's bitch. Odom, so called Mr.Versitility gets to take 15+ shots a game now.

Dynamic Duo

Postby King James #23 on Wed Jan 25, 2006 3:51 pm

DYNAMIC DUO
Warriors Backcourt Readies For Full Season Together
Golden State's pair of guards Baron Davis and Jason Richardson are excited for this upcoming season

The Warriors hit training camp next week with a ton of optimism. And why not? They have something no one else does in guards Baron Davis and Jason Richardson.
“We have the best backcourt in the NBA,” Davis said. “It’s the most underrated in the league, I should say that. … We’re definitely a backcourt to be reckoned with.”

Image
Davis averaged 22.5 points and 9.4 assists in the 19 games he started after coming over from New Orleans and, as good as he was, he will be better next season. That’s because the point guard was playing with shoulder tendinitis, knee tendinitis and a sore Achilles tendon.
“I am running, lifting and getting in the best shape possible for camp,” Davis said.
Richardson immediately noticed how chiseled the point guard is.
“Oh yeah,” he said. “(Davis is) lighter … I think he’s lost 20 pounds. He’s moving with the ball well and getting to the basket. He’s a healthy Baron and that's scary"

PRE SEASON RECAP

Team DAVIS: 94
Team RICHARDSON: 91

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[October 29th 06] A low scoring game with good pressuring defense which proved the underdogs Team Richardson outscoring Team Davis 31 to 24 in the first quarter.
Captain Jason Richardson picked up 2 total steals in the first half and finished with 4 in the whole game.
Le Baron drove on numerous occasions to the rim and posterized Adonal Foyle embarissingly.

Adonal was benched and Baron & J-Rich were rested. After the major players were left sitting on the bench it was time for youngsters Mickael Pietrus, Ike Diogu & Andris Biedrins to prove that they deserve every minute of playing time.
Only to be showed up by veteran guard and one of the top gunners for 6th Man of the year Derek Fisher. Fisher went off for 5 3's in the 3rd and 4th quarter, the OTHER rookie Chris Taft scored 4 points and 1 rebound in 16 minutes

Inevitably, Ron-Ron was no where to be seen literally he didnt show up for practice until the 3rd quarter and when asked why was he so late he replied: "Im RON ARTEST BITCH!" and when he wasnt played until the final few minutes of the 3rd quarter he started yelling hysterically, throwing chairs and throwing a massive hissy fit. He left the gym reportedly in tears, he was no where to be found
News report update: Ron Artest has been found in a local children's park pulverizing a man who apparently was scheming on throwing a cup of beer at Ron, when asked what happened the man stated "Well i walked up to him and offered him a beer politely and then all of a sudden he yells "this mans trying to kill me!!" and jumped on my ass"

Needless to say season 05/06 is gonna be tough for Ron and the Golden State Warriors.

NBA PACIFIC PREVIEW

Postby King James #23 on Thu Jan 26, 2006 11:32 am

NBA PACIFIC PREVIEW PART 1

1. Phoenix Suns
Best-case scenario:
The Suns overcome the absence of Amare Stoudemire by running and gunning their way past opponents again. They get great play from newcomers Kurt Thomas, Raja Bell and James Jones, and Stoudemire returns late in the season to push them to the division title.

Worst-case scenario: Phoenix's vaunted pick and roll is no longer so lethal without Stoudemire, and the Suns struggle in the half court. Opponents slow down the fast break and force Phoenix into a style with which it is not comfortable. Stoudemire's rehab takes longer than expected, and the Suns falls out of the playoff picture altogether.

Outlook: Mike D'Antoni believes his team can still score 110 points a night, even without Stoudemire. With Steve Nash at the helm and Bell, Jones, Shawn Marion and Jimmy Jackson around him, that's a distinct possibility. The Suns should be able to keep their heads above water until Stoudemire returns, at which point they can make a push toward the division title.

ImageImageImage

2. Sacramento Kings
Best-case scenario: Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Bonzi Wells fit right in, Mike Bibby finally becomes an All-Star and Peja Stojakovic returns to the form that made him one of the league's most feared players two seasons ago. The Kings use their Arco Arena advantage to win the vast majority of their home games, and they ease past the Suns to win the division.

Worst-case scenario: Rahim's knee – which kept New Jersey from signing him – fails him, Wells still can't find happiness and the Kings rely too much on the jump shot, as they did last season. Without a great defense to fall back on, Sacramento fades back into the pack.

Outlook: This is a very well-coached, skilled basketball team. The Kings will win a lot of games, and if they get help from a relatively untested bench, they could win the division.
