Waiting for the opener...

Tonight live on TNT Kenny "The Jet" Smith asked head coach of the sonics Bob Weiss to come to the studio and talk about the upcoming season opener, Seattle SuperSonics vs San Antonio Spurs.

Kenny Smith:Good evening Mr.Bob and welcome to our studio.
Bob Weiss:Good evening.
Kenny Smith:It is 6:30 pm and after 30 minutes the season opener between Sonics and Spurs will begin, are you worried?
Bob Weiss: Actually, yes. It`s a season opener all the basketball fans will be watching and we have to win.
Kenny Smith: Are you afraid of Spurs?
Bob Weiss: Why should I be afraid? To loose? No. If we loose that means we have to try harder and train harder.
Kenny Smith: What do you think about Dwyane Wade? How much will he help the team?
Bob Weiss: Well he`s the teams leader! Of course if he plays bad we have less chances and that is real true. Well I think in some games of the season he will be the clutch.
Kenny Smith: What don`t you like in you team?
Bob Weiss: I don`t like only one thing, it`s big man power. Andrew and Steven have some, but other big man just are very weak. It will be hard to attack against Duncan and defend him.
Kenny Smith: Manu Ginobili is injured how many percent your chances to win grow?
Bob Weiss: Well about 14%
Kenny Smith: And that is why?
Bob Weiss: That is because Brent Barry will get more minutes and he will start knocking down threes, Michael Finley will be able to show his game. Nick Van Exel will be a tough mission. I`m telling that San Antonio has really great substitutions and either one of their starters gets injured doesn’t mean we have 100% win.
Kenny Smith: Well thank you Mr.Weiss, good luck to your team trying to beat the almighty Spurs. And all you basketball fans get ready because the season opener is going to start in a few minutes Seattle Supersonics against San Antonio Spurs.

Sorry if I made some mistakes...

Sonics not able to beat the champions

Sonics lost

The Game

The San Antonio Spurs managed to win against the Sonics even Ginobili was injured. Robert Horry, Brent Barry, Bruce Bowen, Michael Finley. They all combined a high number of a very important reason of the Sonics loss, steals. The whole Spurs made 21 steals, and the Sonics had 27 turnovers. Dwyane Wade made the most of the turnovers, also I have to mention that he scored the most points on his team. 27 by him, 28 by Tony Parker. Parker was a very high problem, NBA rookie Chris Paul wasn`t able to catch him. Sonics had a very small number of rebounds at the end of the 1st half, only 11.But after that they pulled up and after the game they had 38.Andrew Bogut really was a great.Scored 20 points and cought many boards.Really great rookie debut, the same was with Chris Paul.Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul tried to save their team in the last quarter with three pointers, but it was unsuccessful. Tim Duncan was almost unstoppable. San Antonio ignored Sonics` defense with fast attacks and steals, they worked hard and took the win.

Sonics lost

The Game
New Jersey Nets win their premiere against The Seattle Supersonics. Sonics weren’t able to defend the superb trio Vince Carter 29 points, Jason Kidd 20 points, 7 assists, Richard Jefferson 16 points. Carter was shooting like wild. Andrew couldn`t rebound at all Kristic was dominant in the paint. Strange, but Latrell Sprewell got the most rebounds. The most important reasons why did Sonics lost is that they were tanking too many worthless shots. 7 of 27 three-pointers. Wade was able to score only 16 points, Radmanovic scored 21. In the last quarter Wade too a shot for a 1 point lead, but it wasn`t the end. Scott Padgett was the hero who took the mid-range shot and took the lead. Then Sonics had 6.7 secs, but Paul missed the lay-up and Bogut wasn`t able to rebound it.
Steve Kerr was able to give some questions to Sonics head coach Bob Weiss:
Steve Kerr: Hello Mr.Weiss, why did your team took so many shots?
Bob Weiss: Because they couldn’t run the plays.
Steve Kerr: What happened with the rebounds?
Bob Weiss: I don`t know maybe their power wasn`t enough.
Steve Kerr: What was the main reason that you lost?
Bob Weiss: Everything was going bad, I can`t say what was the worst.
Steve Kerr: Are you going to take some serious actions after this game?
Bob Weiss: Yes, I will talk with our GM and the team owner, I want some changes…
Steve Kerr: Thank you Mr.Weiss.

Radmanovic for Brown

Image

Vladimir Radmanovic traded for Kwame Brown. This was announced at Sonics` green wet news, by Kenny “The Jet” Smith. The press conference was canceled because of unknown reasons. GM Rick Sund said that he is worried because of strange actions of head coach Bob Weiss.

The Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson said:
"The Sonics` head coach called me and we were talking about the trade. When we met he was acting strangly and I asked him what is wrong, he said nothing, but I think he was really serious problems."
About the trade:
"Well we need a shooter and we got some. Radmanovic is playing a little bit like Brian Cook. Surely he will start in the starting five, but we are worried about that he will start individual plays. We are happy about the trade because we saved Kwame Brown and we got a shooter. Radmanovic will really fit in our team. What did I ment when I was saying we saved Brown. You all know that Kobe almost allways plays alone and Brown wouldn`t get much of a ball, his talent would be wasted.

Sat Dec 31, 2005 9:03 pm

Even though Kwame sucks in real life, hes good in nba live

And I like the trade (Y)

Sat Dec 31, 2005 9:51 pm

Sorry guys, but when I finished the match against Phoenix Suns I accidentally press on the wrong day to simulate and I couldn`t get the Box scores so I won`t recap that game. I can say that we lost again, but this time in overtime and Shawn Marion hit the three pointer for the win. Kwame Brown had 19 or 21 points and 21 rebounds. That`s amazing...

Sat Dec 31, 2005 10:02 pm

Which is the difficoult of your dynasty?

Personaly I prefer Radmanovic on Brown :D

Sat Dec 31, 2005 10:13 pm

Sorry, but I didn`t understand your question...

Sat Dec 31, 2005 11:14 pm

Kwame is a beast on the boards....great trade.

Ch…Ch…Ch…Changes

Today the Sonics` GM Rick Sund called probably the most important press conference in the Seattle Sonics history…

This we defeated most of our team problems, but not in the court. We have many new members of our team starting from the most important Stan Van Gundy! , Sund said.
Bob Weiss is having really serious medical and mental problems. He isn`t suitable for this job anymore, and because we saw it, we had to cancel our contract. We talked with Stan(exhead coach of the Miami Heat) about his problems why did he left the job when he was at Miami. We found how to solve those problems and now he is the head coach of the Seattle SuperSonics. He will start working immediately.

Another new member is Arvydas Macijauskas. We knew that this young shooter plays in New Orleans and we saw that the coach doesn`t give him minutes and time to play. We saw that the young shooter will lose all of his great things if he doesn`t have time to play. We also knew that we don`t have a greater shooter. And we decided to trade for him. We gave Danny Fortson who wasn`t really needed to us, but he was really wanted by New Orleans. Macijauskas is going to join the team immediately and start playing. We think that he will contribute and earn respect of our community.

Another two new members are Eddie House and Brian Grant. They came from Phoenix by trading. We gave Kareem Rush and Latrell Sprewell. We really like Eddie House we saw that he can shoot and can drive really good. This player will be a great for this team. Brian Grant is a really experienced veteran and he has good power, that is what we really need. He can block and dominate in the paint.

Thank you all for coming and listening to me tonight we promise you to show a class of basketball.

Sun Jan 01, 2006 12:35 am

Good trades (Y) Especially, trade for Arvydas Macijauskas :) Be sure he will get playing time, he is not worth to sit at the bench always, as it was in Hornets

Sucks you are loosing :(
Good luck!
