its_asdf's Nuggets dynasty (It'll start in a few days)

Postby Its_asdf on Tue Nov 22, 2005 1:43 am

Ok, I've finally gotten Live 06, so I'm planning on starting a dynasty. There are a few teams that I'm interested in, namely the Raptors, Blazers, Nuggets, Bulls and Magic.

I don't really want to do the Raptors because two people are already doing it, but if you guys want me to do it then I'll be more than happy to make a dynasty with the Raptors, it's just that it is a bit of a turn off when you already have two other Raptor dynasties going on at the same time.

If you have any other suggestions for a team I'd be more than happy to hear them. For those who would like to see me play with a different team, I'd like to play with a team that has a lot of young talent and are rebuilding so I can tinker and toy around with their roster, so I won't play as the Spurs or any other powerhouse team.

Magic, Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson have a pretty good future, DeShawn Stevenson's alright.
Plus you can trade for Ariza, he was born in Florida.

Well, i think the team you are talking about is Charlotte. They have Okafor, Wallace, May, Felton and they still will have a lot of cap for next season. Then you could also trade Brezec, Rush and Knight for expiring contracts + cheap contracts + some pick.

Moreover, salaries will work most of the times because you can absorv a lot of salaries and you can always add a big expiring contract from the other side so contracts work. Here is what i think, start with charlotte and offer Washington Rush, Brezec and Knight for Haywood, Atkins and Ramos. Maybe they accept and you would be getting a strong starting center, a 20 years 7-3 center with only 600,000 as salary and a expiring but experienced pg in Atkins. And then for the off-season you have 5 millons and only one player less. And to make it realistic you make the offer after dec. 29 when teams can traded signed and re-signed players.

On the other, if you are looking to rebuild and you are raptors fan they are not a bad option either. I mean, they just signed 2 great rookies and they have Bosh, lol.

I'd actually like to see a Golden State dynasty from you. Not too many of those around...or do the Nuggets. I'd like to see something different from you this year :D

Nuggets is a pretty good team and with a young star in Carmelo Anthony. Moreover, with all the recent news saying that he is lazy or that he had been facing some troubles last seasons that didn't allow him to perform at the best level you can create some kind of weekly magazine called "facing the interior ghosts" or something like that in which Carmelo speaks about his problems and he manages to solve them in order to become a superstar, ha.

Alright, I think that the Blazers and Bulls are teams that no one wants to see.... I'm leaning towards Nuggets, Magic and the Kings were mentioned a few times also, but I'm not really liking Peja as of late and their cap situation isn't very good. I like the Kings core group of Wells (when he's not crazy), Abdur-Rahim, Bibby and Miller though, and I think Garcia is a promising young rookie.

As for the person who said the Bobcats, I'm not really interested in playing an expansion team, but I'll play a few quick games with them to see how well they play.

Keep voting guys, I still need a little more time to get used to freestyle controls and the half assed post up that I'll be using on my keyboard.

Edit: The Clippers is also another team that I am considering at the moment. Corey Maggette is awesome.

For some reason, I want to see the Blazers but they're not getting many votes. You're comng off a Nuggets dynasty so I want to see a different team. I say go with Orlando.

It seems like more and more people are voting for Denver... I had a pretty fun time with them in my 2004 dynasty, and I love versatile guards that can play multiple positions like Julius Hodge and Carmelo Anthony is a pretty good scorer in the game.

The only problem I find with Denver is that K-Mart is signed to a ridiculous contract. I'll come up with a decision soon, so keep on voting if you don't want a Denver dynasty.

Trade K-Mart for role players! Melo is your main franchise kid! (Y)
