Created Dynasty- using Chicago

Postby Radaga on Mon Jun 27, 2005 2:35 pm

Hi everyone, i am just about ready to start the dynasty with created players. Everyone who put down their stats is in the team, plus 2 others from another forum. All of the players will start off as rookies. Here's the squad list:

Robert Skrnjug- PF/C
Rick Lust- PF
Khalid Sleiman- SG/PG
Moe Sultan- SF/PF
Daniel Dos Santos- PG/SG
Sam Keon- SF
Nicholas "Lethal" Pescod- PG/SG
Liam Elliot- SF
Julian Silva- SF/PF
Sam Campbell- C/PF
Tim Macdonald- C/PF

The team will overwrite Chicago (was chosen at random) and the chicago players will randomly move to other teams.

I'll come back after i have set everything up, including a bit of a preview of the season. Also the starting 5 will be selected by players in the same positions playing off against each other in a 1 on 1 comp (CPU controlled) and i'll let you know about that too.

Cheers

no prob guys, your stats are changed now :)

I actually forgot that i emailed some guys to join this as well and i have a few more players to add on to the squad. This means i will also remove my own player. (which is a good thing because i usually favour my player, lol)

And also all of the Chicago players will move to the free agents instead of moving to other teams.

Here is the new list:

Centers:
Scott Clements- C
Mahesh Akhtar- C/PF

Power Forwards:
Robert Skrnjug- PF/C
Rick Lust- PF

Small Forwards:
Moe Sultan- SF/PF
Sam Keon- SF
Julian Silva- SF/PF
Liam Elliot- SF

Shooting Guards:
Khalid Sleiman- SG/PG
Duane Silva- SG/PG
Nick Pringle- SG/PG

Point Guards:
Daniel Dos Santos- PG/SG
Nicholas "Lethal" Pescod- PG/SG

All of the starting 5 were decided by the 1 on 1 comp (except the Centers). The overall winner of the tournament was Robert Skrnjug. The rules were first to 5, loser is knocked out.
The starting 5 represent who the winners were from each position:

C: Scott Clements
PF: Robert Skrnjug
SF: Julian Silva
SG: Khalid Sleiman
PG: Nicholas Pescod

I'll be playing a practice match next before i play the dynasty to see how everyone plays and where training needs to be focused. It will be against New Jersey.
Because we have 1 player on the bench and most of the players are SF's i have decided that Moe Sultan will sit this practice match out, but that means he will definantly play the first match of the season.

The practice match against New Jersey has finshed.
Incase you guys are wondering i am playing 6 minute quarters with my own sliders. The subsitution slider is up at 95 so that the court time is shared around, so you won't usually see someone scoring 25+ points.

Chicago (79) def. New Jersey (67)
Man Of the match was Robert Skrnjug, who continues his good form.
The leading point scorers for Chicago were:
Robert Skurnjug (19)
Nick Pringle (10)- which is quite remarkable considering he only played 3 mins!, lol
Scott Clements (9)
Nicholas Pescod (8)
Julian Silva (8)

Jason Kidd was the one man team tonight, he scored 29 points.

Chicago started well and were looking like they were going to do it easy. Halfway through the first quarter the score was 11-2, Chicago playing some excellent defence forcing New Jersey to shoot a lot from outside. But New Jersey fought back through Kidd and Carter and at the end of the quarter it was 19-11.

The second half saw a lot of blunders from Chicago, missing easy shots and turning over the ball. They probably attempted too many 3's and unluckily for them none went in. At half time it was 37-36, Chicago holding a slender lead.

The 3rd quarter was the most even of the game. Skurnjug was on fire and Pescod just kept dishing it off to him. New jersey actually hit the fron after Kidd netted two 3's in a row, but a couple of good defensive plays from Clements and Silva saw the bulls get back on top.

In the last quarter the Bulls ran away with it, shooting a much higher percentage than earlier in the game and the defensive pressure was top class.

When interveiwed after the game, coach Tim Macdonald had this to say:
"I was very happpy how the boys played today, it was extremly impressive considering it was their first run together. The defensive pressure was great all game and i was really happy with that aspect of our game. Skrunjug was outstanding again, as he was also impressive in our 1 on 1 competition. The only things i was disspaointed with were our field goal percentage, especially the 3's, and lack of assists. They were dissapointing considering we have some very good shots on the team and we couldn't even hit one 3 for the whole game. At least it gives us some things to work on before the season starts."

Here are the top scorers and some match stats:

I might not be able to keep this going much for the next few days, but i'll try my hardest to keep it updated.

If you have any suggestions as to what i can do to make this topic or the team better then please let me know and i'll try my best to make the changes.

I'm considering splitting the team into 2 seperate teams and just playing in season mode. That way everyone gets good court time. Let me know what you think about that.

Cheers 8-)

Hey guys, i'll try and get a game done tonight if i can.
I have randomly selected salaries for each player. After a season if the player performs better or worse then the salary goes up or down.

Scott Clements- $7,000,000
Mahesh Akhtar- $5,700,000
Robert Skrnjug- $12,000,000
Rick Lust- $9,000,000
Moe Sultan- $9,500,000
Sam Keon- $11,200,000
Julian Silva- $10,500,000
Liam Elliot- $7,100,000
Khalid Sleiman- $12,400,000
Duane Silva- $8,900,000
Nick Pringle- $6,500,000
Daniel Dos Santos- $15,100,000
Nicholas Pescod- $10,000,000

The pre-season training will be focused heavily on shooting, as thats the area i thought let us down in the practice match.

The first game's starting 5 will be:
C: Scott Clements
PF: Robert Skrnjug
SF: Sam Keon
SG: Khalid Sleiman
PG: Daniel Dos Santos

The unlucky player to miss out will be Duane Silva.

I'll report back once i have played the game, c ya!

Hi everyone!

sorry i havent been on for the last few weeks.
My computer stuffed up and it has been in the shop getting fixed for ages, way longer than i expected.
I got it back yesterday but now we had to do a fresh install of windows and i have lost all my data for this.

I will start it again once i've installed all of my programs and stuff again and i hope to be playing the dynasty again within a week.

Cheers
