Manu Ginobili was acquired from the Spurs for Cuttino Mobley. Cuttino Mobley wanted to go back to Texas due to family issues. He said "I'm not leaving because of the team, I have a problem with my family back at Houston". Ginobili was excited about playing with the Steve Francis and former teamate Hedo Turkoglu.

Magical Win By Magical Dunk

A very close encounter with the Wolves and Magic as the Match went to OT. The Magic lead the first quarter by 6. The Wolves had a 15-4 run as they came back into the game by closing the gap in HT. A great performance by Grant Hill made the Magic led by 1 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Kevin Garnett scored 13 points in the 4th. The Game went to OT, as the played on it was looking to go to OT2. But in 5.1 seconds left Manu Ginobili drived through the defence and slam it hard and plus a foul, and hit the FT for the win.
