Which young players progress/regress in dynasty??

Postby orb on Thu Dec 09, 2004 5:22 pm

So far, I have noticed the following (from simming 2 seasons)

Progress:
Luol Deng (very significantly)
Al Jefferson
Tony Allen
Delonted West

Regress:
Eddie Curry (in 2007)

Please add to the list. I want to avoid making dumb trades.

Eddie Curry (in 2007)

I did a dynasty with Chicago and noticed that Curry's ratings basically stay the same throughout, and Gordan goes up tremendously.

I tried to sim 6 seasons last night (zero training with dynasty extras, only simmed training camp) and the results are slightly different:

Lebron James- Big surprise!! stayed at 85 to 86 range throughout. I traded Pierce (rating at 92) for Lebron (86) in 2007 or 2008 and handed Cavs a championship. sigh...

Carmelo Anthony- went up to 92. must be because he's the poster child.

Dwight Howard- went up eventually to 82.

Luol Deng- topped up at around 76. progress may be hampered as he had to play behind Artest for 4 seasons (i traded payton and lafrentz for artest and croshere).

Artest- went up to around 80, I think, but was mainly at around 76.

Al Jefferson- went up to around 70, I think, which was why I traded Artest for Dwight Howard cuz PF was kinda weak.

Tony Allen- topped up at 64, I think. He was around 28 or 29, I doubt there would be more progress.

Delonte West- topped up at 69. He was around 28 or 29, I doubt there would be more progress.

Kendrick Perkins- was at around 67 when his age was 27.

Eddie Curry- went up to 80, amazingly.

Igoudala- went up to 80. He is a keeper.

Ben Gordon- went up to 84, I think.

Dwayne Wade- was at around 86 or 89 last I saw him. Gotta figure out a way to grab him.

Kirilenko- went up to 95!!! Definitely a keeper.

Boozer- went up to 86. AK47 and Booz are bookends for Utah for another decade.

Zach Randolph- was at around 84 last I saw him.

Yao Ming- topped up at 86, but that is enough to be first team all star center for several seasons.

Justin Reed- went up to 55 from 51, signed a long-term contract and then regress to 50.

Banks- around 68. Slightly lower than Delonte West.

Barbosa- went up to 72 or something. At one point, I had Banks, Barbosa and West. Traded the wrong pg. damn.

Another note, most free agents all stars resign with their own team. So, don't bother looking to free up cap space to sign a max contract. May find a couple of Abdul-Rahims, but nothing more.

Another thing I noticed was that those 7 year contracts may affect the players' progress. A few times, I signed Eddie Curry to a 7 year contract and he regressed. Last night, I signed him to 3 year contracts and he improved.
