T-Wolves (0-0) open their schedule in home against the Blazers (0-1)

MINNESOTA (Ticker) Nov. 8 -- The Minnesota Timberwolves will try to upgrade last-season playoff record, as they open up their 2004-05 schedule against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The T-Wolves are featuring a team that have a quiet off-season, adding only Anthony Carter and Eddie Griffin. Portland added players; from free-agency, they added undrafted guard Geno Carlisle, guard Richie Frahm, guard Nick Van Exel and center Joel Przybilla; from draft, they added Viktor Khryapa, who will lost all season in the injured list, and Sebastian Telfair.

"I hope this team will execute what we have done in the training camp, but I don?t want to give any pressure to the team", Timberwolves' Head Coach Flip Saunders said.

The Timberwolves will start the season with Ndudi Ebi, acquired in the 2003 Draft, on the injured list. Joining him will be Ervin Johnson. In the side of Portland, in the injured list are Richie Frahm and Viktor Khryapa.

Timberwolves sign Eddie Robinson

Minneapolis, Nov. 10 --> Timberwolves Vice-President of Basketball Operations Kevin McHale today announced the team has signed free agent forward-guard Eddie Robinson. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Robinson, a 6-9, 210-pound forward from Central Oklahoma, appeared in 54 games for the Chicago Bulls in the 2003-04 season, averaging 6.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 20.1 minutes.

"We are excited to have a player with Eddie's abilities with us," said McHale. "He is a skilled offensive player, with a awesome dunk repertoire."

In Minnesota, Robinson will wear N. 1. To make a spot for him, Minnesota put Mark Madsen in the "Not Playin' Next Game" list.
